This will be very short.

I’m going to give you a special gift today.

For some weeks now, I’ve been writing to you about the awesome power of our words. Our words shape our destiny. Our words bring down blessing or bring down curse.

So for Valentines, I wrote “Faith Declarations” for three groups of people…

Faith Declaration #1: For married people.

Faith Declaration #2: For singles who want to get married.

Faith Declaration #3: For singles who want happy celibacy.

If you’re separated or widowed, you decide if you belong to #2 or #3.

For example, my mother is a widow.

She’s 84 years old.

Last night, she shocked me.

She said that she read my latest book and loved it.

The title? 40 Stories of Finding Your One True Love.

I told her, “Mom, I didn’t write that book for you. You’re 84. Please, remain celibate!”

So I asked Mom to proclaim Faith Declaration #3 above.

She agreed. (Thank God.)

Here They Are…

Friend, I invite you to proclaim whatever Faith Declaration fits your present situation now. I invite you to place your hands over your chest, say the words out loud, and claim God’s blessing for your life. Say them everyday until they become your reality!

Faith Declaration #1:

For Married Couples

“God is blessing my marriage. My marriage is growing stronger. My marriage is getting more blessed. God is using me to bless my spouse. I give my spouse happiness, blessing, and strength. I lift up my spouse. I encourage my spouse. Through me, my spouse sees God’s love. Through me, my spouse experiences God’s faithfulness. And God is blessing my spouse. My spouse is my best friend, my support, my wisdom, my encourager, and my lover. And Love is increasing. Service for one another is growing. Forgiveness, humility, and understanding flow like a river in my marriage. Old wounds are being healed. Bonds between us are getting stronger and deeper.”

Faith Declaration #2:

For Singles Who Want To Get Married

“I’m happily single. Because God is with me, I’m complete. I’m whole. I’m happy! And God is guiding me to my best path. God’s goodness and blessings follow me all the days of my life. He is guiding my decisions. And I believe I’m being prepared for marriage. I’m being trained for parenthood. I’m not just searching for the right partner, I’m also preparing myself to be the right partner for my future spouse. By becoming the best person I can become, I’m attracting that special person into my life. My future is in God’s big hands. He is now filling my future with abundance, joy, and love.”

Faith Declaration #3:

For Singles Who Want To Be Celibate

“I’m happily single. Because God is with me, I declare that I’m complete. I’m whole. I’m happy! And God is guiding me to my best path. God’s goodness and blessings follow me all the days of my life. He is guiding my decisions. And I believe I’m being prepared for greater service as a single person. I’m being trained to be a parent to a larger family. God has blessed me with the greatest friends. I’m no longer searching for the right partner because I’ve made Christ my lifelong companion. By becoming the best person I can become, I’m attracting so many wonderful blessings into my life. My future is in God’s big hands. He is now filling my future with abundance, joy, and love.”
