Do you want an amazing 2024?

One way you can do this is by creating an amazing ENVIRONMENT. James Clear, author of Atomic Habits, says, “Environment is the
invisible hand that shapes human behavior.” Many times, we choose NOT because of who they are but where they are.

Consumer companies know this too well.

In a grocery store, companies will pay a bundle if their products are displayed at (1) eye level and (2) found at the end of the aisle. Because that’s where the biggest sales will come from.

We think we are in control.

But in reality, we’re shaped by our SPACE more than we realize. Many people are victims to their environment. But that’s not the only
choice. The other choice is to be a designer.

DESIGN YOUR WORLD!

Be deliberate in creating a curated space that will help you reach your goals. The key is to make the good stuff visible, accessible, and convenient.

3 Principles In Changing Your Environment

Let me break down designing your space into three helpful principles…

1. New Habitat, New Habit

Here’s a simple example. I learned that many diseases come from dehydration. A 2015 study in the US (National Health and Nutrition
Examination Survey) found 77% of children and adolescents and 75% of adults had urine osmolality indicative of mild dehydration.

Most people are dehydrated but don’t know about it. I decided to stop this by simply changing my environment: I always carried a huge jug of water. In that way, I measure how much water I drank in a day. (At my weight, I need at least 3.3 liters of water.)

Second example: If you want to eat more fruits, buy more fruits and put them on the kitchen counter so you can see them every day. And stop buying chips. In this way, you’ve changed your environment.

Last example: If you want spiritual growth, join the Feast or any spiritual community.

2. One Place, One Purpose

Researchers were able to help people with insomnia by asking them to go to bed only when they’re tired, and if they cannot sleep, to go to another room in their house until they become sleepy.

They should not stay in bed looking at their phones or watching videos or reading. They bed meant sleep, period. Soon, they were able to sleep sooner when they climbed to bed.

3. Old Passion, New Pattern

Two years ago, I knew I lacked exercise so I thought of biking daily. Problem: I didn’t like biking. Because I was never athletic in my life.
So what I did was attach biking to something I already loved to do—I loved coffeeshops—because that was my sacred time.

That’s where I read, think, plan, pray, create, and relax. That’s where recalibrate. So I decided to bike to the coffeeshop every day.
And it worked! I designed a new world for my new habit.

Friend, what new habit do you want to have in 2024?

Change your environment. Design your world so that it’s easier to develop the new habit you want to practice.

Have an amazing 2024!

May your dreams come true,
Bo Sanchez

PS. Changing Your Financial Environment in 2024. One of the most common reasons why people remain in poverty is they’re trying to do it all alone.

Lebron James, Roger Federer, Tiger Woods, and all the greatest champions in the world have coaches and a support team around them. How in the world can we assume we can do it without mentors and a community?
