Why You Don’t Get What You Want: You’re Conflicted

Here’s my big message for you: When you send out a wish, you move God’s Universe to action.

What Do You Want?

Once upon a time, my firstborn son was a 3-month-old baby.

On one particular day I can never forget, at around 3 in the morning, this baby began to cry and he wouldn’t stop.

He was screaming his head off, “Waaaaaaa!”

Being first-time parents, we were horrified. We didn’t know what to do. We’ve never experienced this before.

We gave him milk. He still cried, “Waaaaaaa!”

We tried to make him burp. He still cried, “Waaaaaaa!”

We rubbed aceite de mansanilla on his tummy. He still cried, “Waaaaaaa!”

We sang him a lullaby. He still cried, “Waaaaaaa!”

We cradled him on our arms. He still cried, “Waaaaaaa!”

After thirty minutes of non-stop crying, I was totally desperate.

I remember kneeling in front of the crib, and asking, no, begging, imploring, “Baby, please… I don’t know what to do anymore. Please tell me what you want. Just tell me what you want. And I’ll give it to you!”

Do you know what my baby said?

       “Waaaaaaa!”

The Universe On Its Knees

       Why tell you this story?

To tell you that this is a perfect picture of what’s happening today: That the entire universe is bending over, on its knees, at your feet, asking, begging, imploring every human being, “What do you want? I’ll give it to you.”

       And what do we say?

       “Waaaaaaa!”

We don’t know what we want.

Sure, we have all sorts of wishes in our hearts.

       But they’re fuzzy.

       They’re all a blur.

       They’re not clear.

Here’s what I realized: The universe doesn’t respond to fuzziness. The universe responds only to clarity.

Are you clear with what you want?

Perhaps You’re Conflicted

Are you conflicted?

There are many reasons why a person can be conflicted.

It’s possible that you’re wishing for A.

But you’re also wishing for B.

But A and B are conflicted!

Let me give you an example:

Years ago, I was a poor missionary.

Wish A: I wished to remain a missionary.

But I also wished to be a millionaire (Wish B).

In my mind, I couldn’t reconcile Wish A with Wish B. I felt they were a contradictory of terms.

Thus, my wish was fuzzy.

Because of this, I remained poor.

But one day, I was able to reconcile in my mind that I could become a millionaire missionary.

Suddenly, everything clicked.

The conflict was gone.

My wish was clear.

And my businesses grew—even as I continued to serve God in my missionary work.

The More Common Conflict

Here’s another example of conflict:

A part of you wishes for A.

But another part of you is totally afraid of A!

That’s more common than you think.

Why does that happen?

Because wishes are unfamiliar territory.

And what is unfamiliar is scary!

Our present condition—no matter how painful—is at least familiar. At least, you know it’s painful.

A part of you doesn’t want to fulfill your wish.

Because of fear!

Wishing For Marriage?

Let me give you an example.

I’ve met a lot of singles who want to get married.

But these same singles are also afraid of getting married.

They’re afraid of the process of getting married.

They’re afraid of a possible rejection in courtship;

They’re afraid of a broken heart;

They’re afraid of the problems of married life;

They’re afraid of the burdens of parenthood;

They’re afraid of the loss of freedom of family life.

No wonder they’re still single!

Wishing For Money?

Here’s another more common example…

A lot of people want to get rich.

But these same people are also afraid of becoming rich.

They’re afraid of becoming greedy.

They’re afraid of going to Hell.

They’re afraid of losing their friends.

They’re afraid of the responsibilities that come with wealth.

They’re afraid of the complexity of becoming rich.

No wonder they’re not rich.

Wishing For Health?

Let me give you an extreme example.

I met a woman who had cancer.

She wanted me to pray for her healing.

But as I prayed for, I sensed that she really liked being sick.

So I sat down and listened to her story.

Here’s what I learned…

From the day she got married, her husband was a bum.

Not only that, all her siblings were jobless.

She was the captain of two households.

She was the breadwinner of two families.

She was the servant of everyone.

For the past 40+ years of her life, everyone depended on her.

But when she got sick with cancer, everything changed.

Overnight, everyone had to stand on their own two feet.

And for the first time in her life, instead of serving others, others were serving her.

Sickness was her way to escape.

My suspicion? Subconsciously, she probably wished her sickness to reality.

I repeat: Unless your wish is clear of conflicts, your wish isn’t powerful.

Clear The Conflicts

My final example.

Picture a guy who comes to me and says, “Brother Bo, we want to invite you to speak to our company. But there’s a slight problem.”

I ask, “What’s the problem?”

He answers, “We’re not sure if we really want you to speak in our company. I mean, there are many other good speakers out there too. What do you think? Should we invite you?”

Huh?

I ask him, “If you’re not sure of inviting me, why are you talking to me?”

He scratches his head and says, “I don’t know.”

       This is a crazy example.

But that’s exactly how crazy it is when people wish.

They’re not sure. They’re fuzzy. They’re conflicted.

A wish is an order sent out to the universe—but many of us have been sending out confused, conflicted, corrupted, chaotic, crazy orders.

No wonder you’re not getting what you’re wishing for!

The Bible says, Ask, and you will receive; seek, and you will find; knock, and the door will be opened to you. (Matthew 7:7)

Get A Grip!

When I was a small boy, I loved Peanut Butter.

Because my hands were small, I couldn’t open the Peanut Butters jars by myself. So I asked my sisters to open them.

But as I grew taller and my hands grew bigger, I still couldn’t open the jars. But all my sisters could!

       I felt embarrassed.

Because they were girls and I was a boy.

And then one day, I realized why I couldn’t open the Peanut Butter jars: I had sweaty palms and my sisters had dry palms.

I had enough strength in my hands.

But it was my grip that was oily.

Friend, you have enough strength to open the jar of success.

Your have enough talents.

Enough gifts.

Enough intelligence.

But this may be your problem: Your grip is slipping.

You don’t have a grip of what you really want in life.

You’re fuzzy about what you really want in life.

Here’s the truth: If you really want something, and if you have a solid grip on what you want, and are totally sure of what you want, you’ll climb walls, move mountains, cross rivers, swim oceans—just to get what you really want.

The reason why you don’t get what you want is because you’re confused.

How can you get a grip on what you really want?

By writing down your wishes and praying for them everyday.

That’s why we give you the Novena To God’s Love. (It’s a small Novena booklet I made where you write your 7 dreams. We give this to anyone who visits the Feast, our weekly gathering. For more information, email Annie at feastsecretariat@yahoo.com.)

The Power Of Wishing In My Life

Some 15 years ago, I came home from a prayer meeting, totally inspired. I remember coming home skipping and dancing.

That day, I was struck by a verse in the bible that hit me like a bolt of lightning. The verse was Deuteronomy 30:1: “I have now given you choice between blessing and curse…”

For the longest time, I always thought that blessings and curses fell from the sky. I always thought we had no control over those things.

But there it was, staring me in the Bible.

Can I really choose blessings for my life?

       I decided to try.

I sat down and started writing my dreams. My wishes!

I started writing at 10pm.

I finished writing at 3am.

I filled up 15 pages of what I wanted to happen in my life.

       I called it my Dreambook.

I wrote there that I would be the greatest husband my future wife can ever have.  I even wrote details. I wrote that I’d kiss my wife 7 times a day. I wrote that I’d have romantic dates with her at last once a week.

I wrote that I would be the greatest father my kids can ever have. I wrote that no matter how busy I got, I’d play with them everyday.

I also wrote dreams for my ministry.

I wrote that I would one day become a best-selling author.

I laughed when I wrote that down.

Because when I was in college, I had a subject called English 103—an essay-writing subject. And every essay I submitted to the professor returned to me with a big letter F.

Believe me, F didn’t mean Fantastic or Fabulous.

       I wasn’t a good writer.

But I wrote my wish that one day, I would become a best-selling author.

I wrote that I would have a TV show and Radio program.

I wrote that I would live in anawim, our ministry for the poor.

It wrote it with a lot of details…

“I’m living in Anawim. I live in a lovely bahay kubo (grass hut). When I stand at the porch of my bahay kubo, and I look at the right, I see a rice field. When I look in front of me, I see a fishpond. When I look behind me, I see a coconut tree.”

Here’s my big secret:

I didn’t only write my dream.

Every morning, as part of my prayers, I’d get my 15-page dreambook and read it.

Why? To strengthen my grip on what I really wanted in life.

My Wishes Have Come True

I wrote my 15-page dream book almost 15 years ago.

Do you know what has happened so far?

Almost everything I wrote down has come true.

I’m now married with 2 boys.

And yes, for the past 12 years, I’ve brought out my wife on a romantic date at least once a week. For the past 12 years, we’ve enjoyed a fantastic relationship. In fact, in one of those romantic dates, in the middle of desert, she held my hand, looked me in the eye, and said, “Bo, you’re a great husband.”

I felt my heart had wings.

I wanted to tell her, “That’s in page 3, paragraph 4.”

I also play with my kids everyday.

And yes, I did become a best-selling author.

So far, I’ve written 21 books!

And yes, we do have a TV show and Radio show, broadcasting God’s Love to the world.

And Anawim?

Let me tell you what happened.

One night, when we tucked all the Lolas and Lolos to bed, the guy in charge of building our houses there told me, “Brother Bo, you can now sleep in your own hut.”

I walked to my hut, stepped on the porch, and began to cry.

Why? Because when I looked at my right, I saw a rice field.

When I looked in front of me, I saw a fishpond.

When I looked behind the nipa hut, I saw a coconut tree.

I cried because a few years ago, these were just words on paper. Now, they were reality.

You’re more powerful than you think you are!

Because your wishes are powerful.

Friend, let me say it again: When you send out a wish, you move the universe to action.

Why We Pray Repeatedly

The Bible says that if two or three agree on anything, it shall be done according to what you have asked for.

Which reminds me about a letter I received from Joseph…

       Dear Brother Bo,

There are many things I don’t understand about prayer.

For example, why should I ask God repeatedly?

Didn’t He hear me the first time? Why keep praying again and again?

                                                Sincerely,

                                                Joseph

       Here’s my answer:

       Dear Joseph,

When you pray, you don’t change God’s mind.

When you pray, you change your mind. (He is never the effect. He is always the cause.)

              Why pray repeatedly?

The more you pray, the more you remove the fuzziness in your wish. The more you clarify your wish. And the more powerful your wish becomes.

                                                God bless,

                                                Bo

Go ahead.

       Know what you want.

       And be unstoppable.

       May your dreams come true,

       Bo Sanchez

  1. Hi Bro Bo,

    Good day!

Once again thank you for inspiring message.

We really need to remove the conflicting wishes in our heart/mind. I know the conflict comes from our doubts and fears. But by becoming clear of what we truly want, the universe is conspiring to give us all we want.

What a great day to start the week. :D

    Thanks! :D

And now, there’s an opportunity for me to improve my current financial status and I’m really hoping that this is the answer to my prayers…

Now, I understand. I have been unemployed for a year now. I started a small business related to food, but still, having a hard time trying to meet both ends. You see, I still have overdue credit card payments, in fact letters have been sent by legal companies. nagsisikap naman ako, halos di na nga nagpapahinga just to keep up with the business. Nakaka survive daily kasi may daily income, but I ask God for bigger income, to win in the lotto para mabayaran na lahat ng utang, makapagpundar ng sariling bahay, but di pa rin nananalo. Yes, its true. I’m in conflict. gusto ko nito, gusto ko nyan. and daming kong gusto. but, what i failed to see is that magaling lang akong manalangin sa simula, after ko na syang i offer, gumaan na feeling ko, then, stop. para wala sa aking yung repetition. anyway, thank you for letting me understand. I thought di lang Sya nakikinig, ako pala ang nagkulang. SALAMAT PO!!!!

  27. dear Brother Bo
My husband and I received a disappointing news last Thursday from the agency ! His visa to work abroad is having a problem..and we are so sad about it. Few months ago, he received a message from the agency stating that he is qualified for a job abroad. We were so happy about the news.. and I felt it was an answered prayer. For long years.. maybe around 5 years, we waited for this good opportunity to happen..and it almost happen. His papers were all complete, he passed his medical..an so on until we had the problem with his visa. It is so painful.
Despite this , my husband and I are still hoping. We believe in the power of the lord. Please help us to pray..help us to keep our faith.
    God bless you brother Bo.

  29. Thank you Sir Bo. You know Sir Bo, I;ve gotten tired of reading your messages because I thought, nothing has changed in my life since I resigned from my job due to shame and pressure brought about by series of harassments made by various credit collection agents whenever they demand payment for my credit cards and loans. I also used to pray the holy rosary and attend the Wednesday novena to our mother of Perpetual Help
but I stopped and said to myself, do I have to do all these things? Can my wishes be granted if I refrain from praying? I was wondering if the good Lord and mama Mary still listen to me when I utter the same prayers and they sounded ike regular rhymes already. But I know deep in my heart that the “mother and son” team are always there on my side even if I don’t pray that often anymore. I still attend regular mass on Sundays. I just thought that if i don;t pray that often, my method of praying changes also. Don’t get me wrong Sir Bo, but I am forever grateful with the the good Lord and Mama Mary because they continue to give blessings to my family. I have a family , (parents and siblings) who are all there to support me, extending support whenever needed. When I read, this article , it has really hit me and I’ve felt ashamed of myself. I am looking for a job and was already rejected four times but I’m now determined and focused because of your inspiring message. I really have conflicting wishes. I really have to face all my fears because God has good plans for me.
May God Bless you more Sir Bo and please pray for me.

  30. Gods Peace is with you Bro. Bo,

I am Robin Cruz, a Catholic from Zamboanga City. I just want you to know that you are one of my mentors when it comes to spirituality.

What you are writing is very important to all Catholics in the world…because I believe (only my personal opinion & observation) that sometimes, its our “erroneous belief” that’s keeping us “down”. For example, the belief that “its good to be poor, if you are poor you are closer to God”…yes, i have seen people who are poor and are close to God, but believe me, I have also seen a LOT of poor people here in our place in Mindanao who are “very very far away from God.”

    NAMASTE.

  31. You’re right bro. Bo. I got conflicting wih. To become rich which am afraid of becoming one. What I really want is to be able to have money at the same time I can continue serving the children ( am a catechist ). I decide to follow your word now. Thank you. Godbless.

  32. Miles, you have be been enlightened by the writings of Bro. Bo…Thank God. FACE EVERYTHING, AVOID NOTHING in this world…There are no Mistakes, only Lessons to be learned.

    God bless you

  33. Dear Bro. Bo,

Thanks for the inspiring story, it’s now clear to me on how to strengthen my wishes. you made me realize that your prayers are powerful when you repeat them to God, We have to be consistent and precise with our wishes when we pray so that conflicts won’t be a hindrance in getting what we want. And finally, acceptance of what we really want will help us get focused in our desire to make our wishes a reality.

God bless you more Bro. Bo, continue to inspire us in making our wishes come true.

  34. Hi Bro Bo,

Thank you very much for this.

But for now, this is just the very simple words I can really say, from the bottom of my heart, “THANK YOU.” Because of fears, it stops me and create conflicts in my heart. Through your article I am reminded again, thank you for being my angel.

  56. Dear Brother Bo,

    Amen!

Thank you for another inspirational article!

Thank you for showing me another perspective.

May God continue to bless you and your family.

This world badly needs millions of Bo Sanchez’s.

  57. This blog gave me clear vision on how should i make my wish….. Thank you Bo…

  58. Dear Bro. Bo,

  60. Hi bro Bo. God has his way to talk to me. As I was crying n wallowing to self pity n helplessness, I stumble upon this in my email. Very true, am in many conflicts n angry that I don’t get what I want. Even if I know what I want , the grip is so weak for I think I ask for something that would hurt my marriage. Inner conflicts. Am getting tired for my wishes to come true. I want so many things but truly am confused n conlicted. Anyway, Thanks for the inspiration.

  61. Just yesterday I bought an old book (1990 with yellowed pages) from St. Paul’s entitled Praying for Miracles by Fr. Robert de Grandis. It’s a similar approach wherein I’ll write my prayer petitions(Praise & Thanksgiving, Forgiveness, Intercession, Petition, Fears to be Healed) and goals(for the month, year, 3 years, 5,10,15,20 years). And pray for these miracles everyday. It says there that this method teaches you to focus on what you really are praying for and writing them makes you committed.

I’m thankful that Bo’s Soulfood today is somewhat a form of encouragement for me to use the book that I got yesterday. An exhortation that I need to be clear on what I am aiming for. Truly, there are no coincidences. :)

  62. thank you bro Bo for this wonderful article.

i cried while reading the last part of this article because i realized that God heard all my wishes, even the simplest one.

thank you for allowing us to have a greater understanding about the things we wanted to have!

more power to you. bro Bo! Godbless!

  63. bro bo,

i’m really blessed by reading your messages.

you are right, i have to be clear on what i am praying for.

may God continually bless people like you. you are really a blessing to us your readers.

Kumuha ko ng Brand New Avanza for TAXI din, kaya lang ung tutulong samin for franchising nag kaproblema. in short hangang ngayon di pa sya TAXI at di pa kumikita, My amortization for this started already last August bwahahahaha…

Now I try it for CAR RENTAL… pero hangang ngayon la pa din booking… bwahahahaha….

Tagal ko na ding nakikinig kay Bo. Am also serving one of our FEAST, and sometimes I felt the same way with Miles, Hi Miles and the rest of you guys… na parang ang ilap-ilap ng blessing na gusto natin..(.. na gusto ko) But everytime I attended our FEAST it always give me hope, and at the end of the day, I still choose to believe that one day my WISH
will soon become reality…its my turnnnnnnn…….bwahahahaha…..

AJAH…. kaya natin to mga kapatid… hahahahaheheheheh..

(just I wish that this message may not sound like a lecture…

  65. thanks poh..

  66. thanks for this article Bro. Bo..it really is inspiring to keep on praying for the things I want to happen in my life. I was like Joseph at times but this article makes me believe more that God does hear our sincerest prayers. I got teary eyes when you shared about ‘anawim’..I look forward to the next coming days when I can look at my dreambook and see how God worked..GOD BLESS you

  67. this is so timely Bro. Bo… I would definitely have my own dreambook now.

Thank you Lord for the message through Bro. Bo!

  68. brother bo,

hopefully i can settle this fuzziness within me… :-(

  69. Hello Bro.Bo thanks again for this down to earth message of this article…I was teary eyed while reading this article…kaka touch talaga! I do believe God’s power in every wish really works….and delays only happen when we are not even sure of what we really want in life. Napaisip naman ako Bro.Bo. Anyway, a million thanks to you and your ministry! To God be the glory!God bless us all!

  70. Hello Brother Bo,

Thank you very much for the inspiration..and a wake up call this time, i guess. Just Like what you’ve wrote, I have lots of wishes for myself, my family and for other people. Upon reading what you shared, i think its about time i clear everything up in my head and in my heart. Medyo sa dami ng naiisip ko, hindi ko alam where to start. But now, ayan me panuntunan na ako.

Thank you very very much po!

  71. Dear Bro. Bo,
Good Evening. I will follow your example and make a dreambook and continue to pray.

My heart at this moment is quite heavy. My elderly parents have financial problems and I could only do my best to assist them in selling their farm land in San Juan Batangas. It’s 1 hectare, along the national road, near the Laiya Beach. It has mulawin tree, coconut and banana trees. It’s price is now down from 2.2M to 1.8M. Still negotiable. I hope that through your site, someone will be intersted to buy it. I’ve advertised this already on a buy and sell site, but still no response. It has a clean title.

    Thank you for so much.
    Nina
My contact no. is 0917 7578918

  72. Thank you very much for the inspiration.

sigeh poh kua!! ill try it… heheheh

Im really inspired Bro. Bo of this article of yours. I guess its one of the reasons why i couldn’t re leave myself from hatred and fear of the unknown. And thank you very much Bro. Bo for being such a wonderful instrument of God.

    Tenchoooo!!! ^^

  74. hi bro. bo!

thank you to god for using people like you to help their neighbors.

god will bless u more for everything.

  75. Thanks Brother Bo very much for inspiring my life with your beautiful articles…. God Bless!!!

  76. Dear Bo,

After 5 months of looking for a job [I was laid off] that will (1) fit my lifestyle, (2) minimize my expenses [70% of my salary goes to transportation], and (3) allow me to be financially free, I was able to finally find one. I now work home-based as a VA, which is one of the things that I’ve been praying for [I have an online dreamboard as well]. My client is an Aussie entrepreneur, marketer and author [he reminds me of you, actually] and part of my job is to attend a free online marketing seminar.

Problem is, I am overwhelmed by everything that I have to learn. This seems to be a recurring dilemma for me. Once I get what I want, after a few months [or weeks], I realize that it’s way too hard [way too complicated] and then I get myself out of it and rationalize that it’s just not for me.

So, when you said, “A part of you wishes for A. But another part of you is totally afraid of A! That’s more common than you think. Why does that happen? Because wishes are unfamiliar territory. And what is unfamiliar is scary!” it hit me right where it hurts.

Minsan, natatawa ako na napaka-timely ng mga sinusulat mo. Keep it up, Bo. I feel God’s presence whenever I read your blog.

  77. After reading your article my wife noticed and told me I was smiling. Wheuw! Alas, I smiled before my day ends. Well, smiling before my day ends is always significant to me simply because (or it means) I had a great moment (at least one in a day). The reason. Your article made me realize that wishes can come true. The condition. I just have to make it clear. Thanks!

  78. thank you very much brother Bo.. I was always with your power words from God… I want to become like you someday that’s one of my wish..

  79. thanks brother bro!
you really have the words that make me so re-inspired.
And thank you Lord for giving Bro Bo to us. :)

  80. Thank you so much Bro. Bo! :)

I truly agree that you must see first your dreams in your mind before it became a reality.

Just like a journalist told Helen Keller, “What’s worse than being a blind?” She replied, “It’s to have a sight without a vision.”

We will never achieve our desired future if we are conlicted with indecisions.

Thank you so much Bro. Bo for inspiring us and growing us spiritually. You’re truly one of the best blessings I received from God.

God bless always and in all ways. :)

  81. thank you bro.bo , for helping me opening my mind, and realizing it. I do admit I am in the middle of my conflict wishes right now.

  82. I have this wish of having a business or making money. Everyday I work on it but it seems that I always get back to zero to the start and it always boils down to me having no money for transpo or food to do my businesses. Isn’t that the main thing why I want to go to business. It is a challenge for me to start with nothing and create everything. I know other people have done it. Even kids can be entrepreneurs if they want to. How come a 35 year old cant. Then I read this article. I have felt it even a lot of times, when I am not accomplishing anything. Everything is unclear. Everything is a blurr. Thanks Bro. Bo for clearing out this reality. That you will never get anything which is something you are unclear about. I hope to solve the puzzle. As always. Thank you. May I finally be clear with the money and the success I am after. And sometimes it’s really not about the money, it’s the accomplishments and the help you are giving to other people. It’s the potential that God has written in your heart. Glad to be of help!

  83. thank you, brother bo, for making it clear to me that i have to be clear with myself. It is fear that’s keeping me from voicing out what i truly truly want, fear that it will not be given to me. writing down my dreams is something i shall do next. thank you for inspiring me as always. bless you and your ministry!

  84. Amen and thank you :)

  85. Thanks for your article Brother Bo.

I just received a notice that I wasn’t shortlisted for a job I really want maybe my wishes are in conflict. Please pray for me.. I am feeling so depressed right now.

  86. I’ve had a very rough day at work today.

There is a major possibility that I will be terminated by my psycho boss. Somehow, in every job I had, I have been tormented by psycho superiors or blood-draining work that made my career experiences rather painful and short-lived. I have been cursing the universe for my bad karma ever since. I don’t get it; me and my mom have been praying for a good job to fall into my lap for such a long time now. Why won’t it work??

Then I got home and found God’s answer in my inbox.
I wanted to cry right then and there.

  87. Dear Bro Bo,

Thank you for this article Bro Bo.

I do have a lot of wishes, not just for my self but for my love one’s.. Before I thought that making a wish is that easy.. but after reading your article, I realized that making a wish requires a strong desires and a much clearer details!

Bro Bo please pray for me.. Please help me pray that I learn fast how to effectively wish..

Thanks again Bro. and more power. See you at the feast!

    Sincerely,

    Harry

  89. Dear Brother Bo,

I’m still wondering how your emails got into my inbox. In the beginning, I thought they were junk mails. Eventually, I started reading them…and this one really inspires me.

  90. Dear Bo,

Thank you so much for this inspiring letter. It motivates me to dig deeper of the things that I really want to happen in my life. Tears fell from my eyes as I read this message, I was moved by the stories you’ve shared about your dreams and to Joseph’s letter as well.

Honestly, this is my first time to write a comment on your letter. I just want to thank you for inspiring me everyday. I just left our country a month ago and work as a nurse here in London. And I promise to myself to share the blessings I received here from my work and I’ve chosen your foundation. How can I give my financial help from here? Kindly send to my email the details. Thanks.

You’re a great blessing in my life and to the lives of others as well!..Thank you so much!…God Bless!

  91. Another powerful one!

You have been my mentor in all aspects. My dreams are that my family would be financially free. By that I meant debt free, can go anywhere we want and can donate our time, effort and money at whatever cost. A great mom for my 5 sons, a great wife and a great citizen for our country…

  96. Thanks again Bro. Bo
This is an exclamation remark for me, who can’t unify my acts though you’ve told it a lot of times already.
I will do it again now, and continuously.
    Thank you really.

  97. Just out of curiosity, why do people always wish of something more than being satisfied of what they have.

  98. HI Robin and Mon,

  103. Hi Bro Bo.

Thank you very much for the inspiring words. It always lifts me up every time I read your posts. And this post strike to me A LOT, because most of the samples that you’ve given like marriage, health, wealth, family are the things that I need to excel. I’ve written all my dreams in a 1/4 sheet of paper, and I kept it in my pocket (together with the love letter from my wife). And I always open it when I’m feeling hopeless and depress.

Thank you very much for showering your blessings to your readers. May God always bless you, your family and your ministry.

    Laurence. :)

  104. very inspirational..reflects it..

  105. Dear “blessed” bro. Bo,

I called you blessed because you are really blessed by God through your inspirational, “heaven filled thoughts” write ups but so applicable in our present times…I praise & glorify God again & again because of you..Actually, i’m here at the very far island province & very seldom to visit the city..I met you before for the 1st time when we attended the Feast last Palm Sunday, together with my family & we got pictures..(you can see it on my Facebook)..We’re all so blessed that time. But honestly, i’m so sorry because up to now my Novena booklet to God’s Love is still empty..But i was able to keep it in my bag. I thank God so much because of this write up, i’l be able to fill it up…Thank you for letting us know that our wishes should be clear & consistent & that praying for it always (repeatedly) will make it more powerful…I have a lot of wishes, not only to myself but for my family, friends & to our brothers & sisters God has entrusted to us…Again..thank you so much & may God continue to bless you & your love ones..!

  124. Good day !
An Author once said, ” Happiness is the quotient of what we have divided by the things that we do not have. ” Increase the denominator and unhappiness sets in. Contentment is the key to happiness. Besides , ” The best things in life are free - ” like good relationships , the beauty of nature, the air that we breathe, peace of mind, etc.
I think it’s good to have wishes but reasonable ones, pray for it, and when we don’t get it, trust that God sees it’s not good for our souls.
” Seek ye first the Kingdom of God and His Righteousness, and all things will be given unto you.”
” St. Francis , Make our hearts burn with the fire of Divine Love ! ”
    BE HAPPY ALL !!!
    Thanks Bro. Bo and family!

  125. dear bro bo,

you’ve answered my frequent question.. now i can start to clear out my vision in life…. i’ll try this and i’ll tell you the oputcomes. thanks

  126. Dear Bro. Bo,
Thank you very much for your inspiring message. I am about to take the C.P.A. Exam this October 09, 10, 16 & 17. My only wish is to become a C.P.A. this October 2010. though there are many circumstances that hinders me for believing on my dream. You help me so much Bro. Bo. you cleared up my mind. I know I can make it. My dream will become a reality this year..

  127. thank you so much bro.bo for being a beacon of inspiration to all of us.
thanks a lot for reminding us everyday to be grateful.

  128. dear Bro.Bo,

Your words are really inspiring…especially of choosing CURSE AND BLESSINGS! When i first attended your FEASt @ PICC, i was so inspired then that when my husband had arrived from working abroad i brought him in there,to attend mass and listened to your TALK ( there he witnessed and heared why i am your fan when it comes to Godly things….)..yes! we attended 2 successive dates but was stopped coz my nephew from Gensan was died,Sept 21,2010…even as we plan to go home to our place i am thinking that we could go back to your feast…but another tragedy had happened,my 80 yr old mother, also died after the 40th days of my nephew,Sept 6,2010…this date also was my 3rd b-day of my special child( my youngest child of 8 children..marami no?),he has down syndrome…and this date also was the death anniversary of my father-in-law ( died 1979 ,my husband and i got married 1985,so i didn’t see him)…
with all this trials ,still i am eager to attend and complete the Feast..but the question is WHEN? coz just last Sept 29,2010,my brother ( the 3rd from d eldest and i am d yougest of 4 siblings) died also of cardiac arrest……NOW,here we are in Makati just to have my medication and also my husband signing of contract coz he is a seaman by profession,my curiosity is..is it bad to FLY to other place while my brother was still in a funeral home?( but we are just waiting for the money as we pray to go back in Gensan to see my brother ,his interment will be on Oct 18,2010…)’…my husband is in his calling for WORK ABROAD and me for my medical check up ( if u could remember i was the one who talk to u about being a cancer survivor @ PICC..)….IS there a CURSE in my story? as we need blessings ( my husband’s work and my check up) in our family?..pls, Bro. Bo hear my clearing up of thoughts……thank u!!!

  129. Dear Bro. Bo,

This is very inspiring…and sobrang timing in my situation now….thanks for being an angel!…just when I needed most.

God bless you more and more and more…..

  131. Dear Bro, Bo,

i hope my dr4eams will come true someday.
    God Bless.

  132. brother bo, thank you so much for inspiring me again today. i wish i could write as good as you do. :-) you are truly God’s helper. blessings to you and all your readers here.

  133. Good day !
I should say we should wish / desire for the things that are of Heaven than for the things of the earth. ” For where thy treasure is, there also will thy heart be. ” Our Lord says we shouldn’t worry , for He Who provides for the ” birds of the air and the lillies of the fields that neither sow nor reap , nor gather into barns , ” would surely provide for men, ” O men of little faith ! ” That way, our lives would be happy and stress - free. If God is in your heart , what more can you ask for ? After all, our lives here on earth is but a short journey , and life in the next, is eternity !
    Be happy all !!!

  153. Hi Mr. Bo the Great Wiseman,

Indeed, I agree with your article.
As far as I can remember, my wishes in the past have come true. Even those wishes that I was not serious to wish have also come true.
I still have great wishes that I have not achieved yet, but I have a good feeling that they will be a reality.
One of my wishes that I am working on is to be a Bar topnotcher. And I am serious about this though I am just in my first year and a working student family man.
I always pray to God about this.
Sir Bo, you are indeed with the Lord because you really really make a lot of sense.

    Your fan,
    Elly

  154. I was inspired! I cried when I read about the dream book.

Thank you so much Bro. Bo! Thank you Lord.

  155. I cried reading this! I am crying while I’m reading this! This is just everything on one post. I have gathered a lot, but none of the stuffs I’ve gathered explained it as real as it is being said/delivered this way. In this post. Like those sayings and quotes and facts and inspirations were all pieces of documents till I read it here, in this exact post, which was talking like a human person itself was talking (Ofcourse, you Bo is the author, but I mean, like the article has a life of its own!” Thanks, Bo! This article really moved mountains, and conflicts in a lot of hearts in the world! I should be linking this to my blog for other non-Kababayans out there!

  156. i was touched by this blog..thank you for the enlightenment..more power..

  157. Thank you so much. I almost cried while reading this. you’ve inspired to keep on going. Thank you so so much

  158. i wish i will have a happy and harmonious family!

Are You A Friend Of God?

Why God Invented Mothers

Last week, my mother died. Looking at her lifeless body in her simple white coffin, and remembering her permanent impact in my life, I realized that mothers are God’s greatest inventions. Why did God invent mothers? Because there are a few things that only mothers can do… I needed someone crazy enough to carry me in her womb for […] Read more »
