What’s The Best Investment In The World?

When I was a kid, I learned that my mother lived during the war. With great excitement, I asked her, “Did you meet Magellan and Lapu-lapu?”

I was disappointed when she said, “No, I’m not 450 years old.” So I asked, “Did you meet Jose Rizal and Andres Bonifacio?”

That’s when she explained to me that she didn’t live through World War I but World War II.

She’s 84 years old today and I grew up with her war stories.

I remember her stories about the Japanese Peso.

“When the Japanese came, they printed their own money,” she said. “Eventually, we all got used to them. But after many months, the Japanese Peso began to lose its value. Soon, everyone called it Mickey Mouse money. It became play money.”

“Why?” I asked.

“Because of the rumors that the Americans were coming back. You won’t believe me, but when we heard over the radio that the American planes were coming, I remember how I had to bring a bayong of Japanese money to buy a bayong of food. One duck egg cost P75…”

Here’s a photo of the Japanese money at the start of the war…

2 years after, they had to print 1000 bills to cope up with inflation.

My friend, Nanay Coring, Founder of National Bookstore, also lived during the war. She too was a young woman when the war broke out. But unlike my mother, she had business savvy.

With her Japanese money, she bought goods that could be stored until the war ended. Early in the war, she saw what was going to happen. So she converted all her Japanese money to another currency—goods and inventory.

One day, a Japanese officer walked to her little store and asked if she wanted a warehouse filled with whisky. She said, “Yes, I’ll buy it,” not knowing where she’d get the money. She gathered as much Japanese pesos as she could find and bought the entire stock. When the US soldiers came, she sold every bottle to the Americans who paid her in US Dollars.

Mom didn’t do anything. She kept her Japanese money in her bayong. When the Americans came, the money was all burned because it had become useless.

No wonder Nanay Coring now owns 157 branches of National Bookstore all over the country while my mother runs a tiny bookshop in her house!

Why am I sharing this to you?

Question: Are You Business Wise?

When you die, all the money you hold becomes Mickey Mouse money. All. The Dollars, the Euros, the Yen, the Yuan, the Peso…

You know that.

But are you doing something about it?

You need to be business wise like Nanay Coring.

You need to start converting your material wealth into eternal wealth. How? Start giving generously to God and to the poor.

Giving to God isn’t just a spiritual thing. At the end of the day, it’s also the wisest, most practical thing to do. It makes all the business sense in the world.

I know of a lot of very rich businessmen who aren’t giving to God or to others. So their wealth will be very short lived. It will only last until their life on earth.

I strongly suggest you convert your worldly money to the only currency that Heaven will accept. Heaven has only one currency: Love. Loving God and others is really the only thing you can bring with you when you die.

Read carefully what Jesus says. You’ll be shocked:

Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moth and rust do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.[1]

          Wow. Can you believe it?

It’s actually possible to exchange what you have for the currency of your future home. While on planet earth, you can actually store great treasure in Heaven.

That’s why I believe generosity is the wisest, the best, the most perfect investment in the world.

 How Much Is Your Balance?

Let me ask you a very important question: How much of your worldly wealth have you used to create your heavenly wealth?

How much investments have you already “wired” to Heaven?

When you put your money in the bank, the bank gives you a bank book. There, you find a history of your deposits. If Heaven issued you a “bank book”, how much deposits have you already made so far?

In other words, how much have you loved?

          How much have you served?

How much have you used your material wealth to give love?

But Let Me Clarify:

It’s Building Heaven On Planet Earth!

Warning: What I’ll say next will be hard to swallow.

So chew on it. This is definitely not milk for those starting in the spiritual journey, but solid food for the mature.

I’ve met Christians whose only goal in life is to go to Heaven. Their only concern is to guarantee a Heavenly visa. To them, this is what salvation is all about. Nothing else.

Friend, I want you to outgrow that attitude.

Because I don’t believe this is the point of Christianity.

Think with me: Today, there are 25,000 children who die every single day because of poverty and hunger—and all we can think of is our personal Heaven? Today, there are many people around us who are starving for God’s love—and all we can think of is our personal Heaven?

Jesus didn’t call you to be His disciple just so you can go to Heaven only. Jesus called you to be His disciple so that you can bring Heaven down to earth, specifically to those who are in “hell” right now because of their material, emotional, and spiritual poverty. Jesus called you to be His disciple to love the way He did. Jesus died on the Cross so that you too can die for others.

So what am I saying?

Everytime you’re generous because of love, you transfer your wealth to a particular Heaven that starts now, right here on planet earth. And it’s not a personal Heaven, but a Heaven for others.

I’ve got one last thing to say…

Among These 5,

Who Are You?

When it comes to managing money, there are five kinds of people in this world. Who are you?

#1: Gloria Gastadora:

Gloria Gastadora lives on 100% of her income. Sometimes, when she borrows money, she lives on 120% of her income. She’s never absent during Midnight Sales. Her credit cards are faded due to overuse. Even if she wants to give to God or invest in her future, she cannot. Obviously, after all is spent, she has nothing to give to God except her loose change. In Church, Gloria Gastadora isn’t a tither, but a tipper.

#2: Kunat Kuripot:

Kunat is a frugal and fearful fellow. He lives on 80% of his income, because he saves 20% or more for his future. He lives in fear. He feels safe only when he knows he’s got lots of money in the bank. It really seems safe, except that he doesn’t know that putting his life savings in the bank isn’t such a wise idea at all. When he retires, Kunat will realize that his savings isn’t enough. And like Gloria Gastadora, Kunat Kuripot can only give his spare change to God—because he’s always afraid of his future.

#3: Bertong Bulag:

As a kid, Berto was a financial whiz. Upon graduating from college, he already opened a mutual fund. He also started investing in a blue chip company in the stock market, putting small amounts of money every month. He also started a business, and it has done very well. Berto has become wealthy. The problem is that he still cannot give to God, because he sees it as an expense, like it was a luxury he can’t afford. He doesn’t realize that giving to God is also an investment—the most secure and long-term investment of them all.

#4: Wally Waldas:

Wally has no problem giving to others. He is very generous to others, but he isn’t generous to himself. Because he doesn’t invest for the future. Wally just likes giving his money away to people who end up abusing him. His close friends tell him that his giving is no longer helping others, because they have become parasites. But he’s blinded by his need for their attention. Wally, in the long run, cannot even give to God, because his money will be long gone.

#5: Manny Mapagmahal:

Manny gives to God, gives to others, and gives to himself.   After receiving his income, the first thing he does is set aside 10% to God. The second thing he does is to set aside 20% to put in investment vehicles—such as funds, stocks, businesses, and real estate. He also has set aside an Emergency Fund—3 to 6 months of his salary in the bank. The third thing he does is to limit his expenses to 70% of his income.

Today, Manny is prosperous. He now gives 20% to God, invests 30%, and lives on 50% of his income. In his old age, he’ll continue to be even more generous.  (If you’re interested to become like Manny Mapagmahal, join my TrulyRich Club and get trained in the principles of spiritual and material abundance.  Log on at www.TrulyRichClub.com now.)

Among these 5 people, who are you?

          May your dreams come true,

          Bo Sanchez

PS. Save Babies With Me. Our newest ministry is Grace To Be Born. We operate a halfway house for pregnant women in crisis who are thinking of aborting their baby. Because these women have been rejected by their families, we let them live in our center so they can keep their babies or choose adoption instead. But being a brand new ministry, costs are running high and I request for your support—if saving lives and fighting abortion is something close to your heart. If you want to support financially, email our Grace To Be Born Director Rey Ortega at rortega_corinthians@yahoo.com

Thank you so much for investing in Heaven-on-earth!

PS2. Want to go on a Spiritual Pilgrimage in Europe? I’ll be leading a Marian Pilgrimage this October 19. For 14 days, I’ll be bringing a group to Fatima, Lourdes, Assisi, Salamanca, Burgos, Loyola, Nice, Cascia, and Rome. Each day we’ll have Mass, prayer, inspirational messages, and great fun too. For more information, call Beckie at Tel. 2. Bro> Bo,

  3. Wow.. Amazing! i’m enlightened by this blog, too.. Thanks again, Bro Bo.. I wanna be Manny Mapagmahal.. =)

  4. Hi Bro. Bo,

Every blog you wrote is blessing and enlightening.
Few may criticize you as you mentioned in your last blog but Mel and I are only two of those many who get blessed everytime we read your blogs and sharings.

Continue to bless the world for what you think is right and godly.

At the end of the day, it’s between you and God.

    Always,
    Lando and Mel

  5. It is almost 1 year na when I attended Bro. Bo”s truly rich seminar, and I got to know how to be Manny Mapagmahal, yeeepeee!!! Thank you very much, little by little naaapply ko siya because during that time I was in debt indeed. Today, konti nalang ung mga obligations ko….hahaha buti nalang nakilala ko siya. I hope in the future makasama me sa goal na 1 million millionaires in the year 2020.

    GOD BLESS US!!!

  6. thanks for sharing this article again brother bo, i want to become #5…

  7. Bro Bo!

Grabe, sobrang timing naman nitong article mo. I will be posting article on our blog about financial matters and Im just looking for one article I can post.

I guess this is it! I will re-post your article on our blog and will link back to your website.

Keep inspiring us Bo and God bless you.

  8. Bro Bo!

We are experiencing financial crisis right now .. with all the expenses we really need addtl income.

may business proposal kami… pray to us na sana makuha namin ung deal..

    thanks much!

  9. ** PRAY FOR US :)

  10. Dear Br. Bo,

My belief is affirmed! Yes heaven can happen here on earth. The only answer is love. And I believe love is expressed in helping others, those who are spiritually and materially poor. That’s why my husband and I are making our contribution. We will be part of the one million pinoy millionaires so we can help our fellow kababayans! =)

Thanks for continuously inspiring us! May God continue to Bless you and your family and your many ministries!

  11. Dear Kuya Bo,

You have always been my inspiration. Even though I was once disappointed with you, I realized now that it was not your fault not to have read my email. Anyway, I have just resigned from my work this July because I got so sick. Breadwinner pa naman ako, but by the grace of GOd, we are still surviving. I don’t know kung sino ako sa mga limang nabanggit mo Bro Bo., because I was earning around 16 thou in my previous work but I spend 12 thou for house expenses. Konti na lang po natitira sa akin but I was able to give 500 to God. Sometimes I give to beggars, sometimes not. So I really don’t know if I am generous or not. It is hard to give when you don’t have enough, but because I am giving almost all for my family (I don’t consider them as parasites because I am the most blessed in our family), I think I can love others enough.

Thank you for inspiring us. You have the same mindset as mine, Bro. Bo, and I really look up to you. Don’t mind your critics, especially the people who call themselves faithful and religious but don’t strive to contribute something to the society. For me, faith is useless if you are useless to others. No one knows exactly what will happen in afterlife, but at least we can do something for the very people that are with us right now. Sana nga po yung ibang religious people ay lumawak pa yung pananaw when it comes to money. When all people start to dream big not only for themselves but for others as well, siguro po marami sa mga problema natin sa ngayon ang mawawala. Kaya po saludo ako sa inyo. When I become a full time writer, I will always include your teachings in my works. Keep up the good work and may you follow God’s will always, kahit anu pa sabihin ng critics nyo. God bless po sa inyo and to all your ministries. God bless din po sa ating lahat.=)

    Anne

  12. Bro Bo!

Thank you for sharing us this inspiring article! i want to be #5

    God bless & more power….!

  13. Hi Brother Bo! Another beautiful article from you. Keep it up!

  14. I think number 4 is more acceptable to God.

Mark 12:41 Now Jesus sat opposite the treasury and saw how the people put money into the treasury. And many who were rich put in much. 42 Then one poor widow came and threw in two mites, which make a quadrans. 43 So He called His disciples to Himself and said to them, “Assuredly, I say to you that this poor widow has put in more than all those who have given to the treasury; 44 for they all put in out of their abundance, but she out of her poverty put in all that she had, her whole livelihood.”

If you put all your livelihood, then you are right, you can longer give tomorrow or in the long run.

Luke 6:34 And if you lend to those from whom you hope to receive back, what credit is that to you? For even sinners lend to sinners to receive as much back. 35 But love your enemies, do good, and lend, hoping for nothing in return; and your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High. For He is kind to the unthankful and evil.

  15. Bro. Bo did it again!!!! Whatever your critics say against you, let it not discourage you. Let’s pray for them. They are blind, but God in His goodness, will open up their minds. God bless us all abundantly!!!

  16. Now Bo, this is your turn.

Can you substantiate your answer No. 5 by citing verses in the Bible to prove that your preaching were not with persuasive words of human wisdom?

1 Corinthians 2:4 And my speech and my preaching were not with persuasive words of human wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power, 5 that your faith should not be in the wisdom of men but in the power of God.

  17. Hi Bro. Bo,
Just to let you know that I learned a lot from you,
I am amazed with your WISDOM, I thank GOD for using you in my life. I able to apply my knowledge and wisdom I gor from you to my only 8yr old daughter,to my husband,my friends, fellow religious and employer.
May you not tired of loving GOD. You are fantabulous,(FANTASTIC & FABULOUS).
With your blog, I am not yet in no.5 but nearly there.

    GOD BLESS,
    Daisy

  18. Hello Bro. Bo,

I aprc8 ur efforts of helping us to walk in the right path, encouraging us to do the right thing and investing not only the wealth here on earth but also in heaven.

You don’t need to prove to anyone if ur right or wrong, the mere fact that ur teaching has helped us and enlighten us to get closer to God is a proof that u are indeed investing the eternal success.

Criticism is also good to do our ministry/craft better,
It adds a liitle spice to what we are doing. And I must say you handle it gracefully,XD. I admire u more.

  19. Pls. pray for me, mejo nali2gaw ako ngayon, Am still holding on in doing the right thing spc after reading ur article. Thank you for the efforts. Ur a good example of humility.

  20. One of the best blogs you have written, bro bo! It really feels good to share your blessings to those in need.

I, for one, have been blessed a lot for years now and I am sharing my blessings to those in need. It feels good to know that these people whom I shared my blessings with are overjoyed by the simple gift I have offered to them.

  21. I agree with Tetay. = ) You’re doing a great job, Bro!

    Hope i can also handle criticisms gracefully… = )

Your blog inspired me once again (to give more to the Lord, so God will bless us even more)…
Also the last part - your P.S. - Save Babies with your newest ministry, GraceTo Be Born. Would love to be a part of it… (thanks for Bro Rey for his prompt reply to my email)…
Will encourage my family & friends here in jakarta to help. Thanks for creating this & for giving others the opportunity to be a blessing…

  22. BRO.BO
idol talaga kita..you keep on inspiring us..thank you very much…dahil sa iyo natutunan ko na iextend pa yung kamay ko….sana mas lalo ko pa ito maiextend ng husto….to the fullest.dati ang dami kong worry…i have doubts on giving generously, baka maubusan ako..but a “big bang” came since then ive realized to give out of love not merely an obligation so far naman hindi ako katulad ng dati….minsan i have only one hundred bucks in my pocket pero yung blessings outpouring…meron magtreat sa you bigla….basta mararamdaman ko na hindi naman ako pinababayaan ni LORD…..marami siyang pinadadalang instrument…..salamat sa iyo for opening my eyes….
minsan hindi lang din sa financial…sa time…i give time dalawin ang maysakit…or yung nangangailangan ng makakausap….i want to bring heaven here on earth…thanks po idol

  23. Bro. Bo,

I thank God that we have you.

I came from a financial struggle last year when my father got sick and died. Thanks to the Grace of God that I have friends and relatives who helped me and my family.
But until today I haven’t yet recuperated, financially.

You inspire me a lot. I read your articles everyday and bought some of your books.

This month, I will step into the unknown; that is to invest and to save some.

……. I will also start with 5% tithing, I hope I can manage to make it bigger by next month.

    God bless your genuine heart…

  24. Mark 12:41-44 does not justify #4 for the widow still had offered to the treasury wc means to God where as #1-4 does’nt have anything left to offer or give a share to God.

    GBU ALL,
Thank you so much Bro Bo for this Fruitful and very rich wisdom you gave to us.

  25. I agree with you 100% on “building heaven on planet earth.” Many Christians today just focus on themselves going to heaven. They tend to look the other way with regard to the social injustices that are happening around the world, such as Darfur.

    Keep writing!

  26. Thanks Bro Bo!

I believe in No. 5 as we are just stewards of what God has entrusted to us. The Parable of the Talents (Matthew 25:14-30; Luke 19:12-28) would suffice this.

    God Bless!

  27. I believe that we have to give it all we’ve got! Time, Talent and Treasure for God (it is by God’s love, grace and mercy that we can offer these) to our family, friends and even our enemies.

God rules in us and it manifest in our ability to give.

    God bless always.
    Emz

  28. The first part of your blog reminds me of the recent death of Farrah Faucet and Michael Jackson. In both deaths there is a difference and similarity. The difference is that Farrah waited 3 years to die while Michael not a single minute. The similarity is that they could not take fame, beauty and fortune with them in heaven. This similarity unfortunately is the same for all of us. The second part of your blog reminds me that at the end of life God does not look at how little or big you have given but the condition of your heart when you gave. How little or big depends on the reference you mark. If God wants he can make a ministry or person exceedingly wealthy in an instant and eliminate poverty in a flash… But No. We just have to be wise, trust the Lord and learn from the lessons of life. “The poor widow gave 2 cents but gave everything she has”.

  29. This is very educational to me and it is very interesting to see Japanese Peso. On the other side, I can say I’m a bit of Kuripot, Bulag and Mapagmahal in short, I really need directions for both material investment and spritual investment. But I’m working on it and praying that somewhere along the journey of life I can find good mentors who can help me get the right direction in both investments.

More power to you Bo and your family.

  30. wow. i just realized i’m like kunat kuripot.

hey, br. bo, i have a question. how about those who aren’t earning yet? such as students like me. the only money we have are the allowances given by our parents. how can we show our generosity?

  31. Thanks again for this inspiring reminder. I’m actually struggling as “Manny Mapagmahal.” Hopefully, I’m getting there.

    Cheers!
“No one has ever become poor by giving” (Anne Frank)

  32. Thank you for everything you are sharing Bo, the Holy Spirit is working through you to heal me and others.

May the Lord give you more strength of heart, mind and especially spirit.

May he bless you with more Wisdom, Ideas and Opportunities

Thank you also to all your staff!

  33. id like to help too… kaso, i dont have money to offer… pero i have myself to offer… sana lang madiscover ko na yung mga groups that give services kase wala akong alam para ill offer myself.. my assistance, to those who need a hand…

But I still survive that’s how generous the Lord is!!!! Praise God! Please pray that I can get permit to start Nid’s R Us store in our subdivision for investments.

More God’s blessing to you and your family.

  36. hi Mr Bo,

i really pity myself coz in my long years in the govt service, i have no savings nor enough money to spend to for the family, however, we survive the fittest challenge that we’ve encountered. now my 3 kids who are all grown ups,( 1 is pursuing law, 1 graduated in his IT course and the youngest is in his 2nd yr mass com course), with all of these blessings i thank God Almighty for without His intervention, where am i to go and ask help???? Proverbs:3:5-6 states: TRUST IN THE LORD WITH ALL YOUR HEART. NEVER RELY ON WHAT YOU THINK YOU KNOW. REMEMBER THE LORD IN EVERYTHING YOU DO, AND HE WILL SHOW YOU THE RIGHT WAY!!!!
    isn’t it great!!!
Mabuhay po kayo and God Bless……..

  38. I am in process. But with God’s help I am improving.

    I am giving 10% tithes.
Quite generous, I feel happy when I see my loveones, friends and strangers happy.
Currently fixing my cash flow by working on paying all my credit cards.

Then, hopefully I can work on investing. Right now I improve my tithes by giving love offerings and helping the poor.

More to come, more to improve. Pray for me.
    God bless. :)

  39. cant believe i had this chance of saying this to you-thanks BO ive been reading your .. errr.. entries??? in was that kerygma? and didache?? when i was a kid.. and your name marked a place in my head.. i admired how you write so well and how your writtings inspired a lot of people

  40. Brother Bo:

Thank you for an inspiring article. I hope that I will be like Manny Mapagmahal in the next few months, because now I’m still adjusting my cash flow.
Five years ago, I’ve been indebted to 10 banks for credit cards and cash loans, but thank God, now I only have 3 cards to pay. There was a time that I even wanted to give up. But my faith in God makes me stronger. I know that He gave me this problem, because He knew that I can handle this.

Thank you again for continuously enlightening and inspiring us,

  41. Thank you for this. I have a question, if I dont give the money to church and give it to charity instead. Is that still tithe?

  42. Brother Bro:

YOU ARE A MAN OF WISDOM. Am grateful that there’s someone who offers his talent and time to INSPIRE OTHERS and MAKE A DIFFERENCE IN THE LIVES OF OTHERS.

I am an istructor of a private institution and I have a meager income but I make an effort to share each blessing I receive to the people close to my heart including my students. I find time to share important values teachings useful for their emotonal growth. I also so have little investments, Please pray Bro Bo that I might expand my wealth so I can be like you…

THANKS A LOT! YOU ARE ONE OF A KIND!

    GOD BLESS!!!

  43. Timing na timing talaga si Bro Bo! I asked our student affairs coordinator on how to donate on our poor urban child program. donations will help send a kid for one school year. i have started to set aside 10% of my income to opportunities like this.

I’m starting to level up with Manny Mapagmahal, I guess. Little by little.

    God bless everyone!

  44. hope you blog something that will be for the students. something that would really help them because i believed that their are many young people who loved to read your articles. But they cannot definitely find themselves on all the articles that you’re posting.

    thanks

  45. dear bro. bo,
i’ve been a fan of yours since 1993,subscribing with kerygma magazines & gabay, buying your books & other articles, which i can’t do today because of financial constraints (i’m a widow w/ 8 kids). thanks to God & the technology, i have only to open my email to get in touch to you. i’m truly inspired with your articles which give me hope to go on with the journey of life. Keep up the Godly work and continue to build heaven on earth. Thanks.

  46. Hi Brother Bo,

Like others I’m inspired by your thruthful and I can say your one of a kind experiences in life.

I am not that generous type of a person neither a selfish one but I don’t seem to know where I truly belong to these group of people. I don’t even give much of my time to God. I even skip Sunday masses. I’m busy dreaming. I know I have to make these dreams in reality but really can’t. I want others to help but dont know whom to ask.

Please pray for those people like me.
    Thanks in advance.
May the Lord repay you with more blessings.
God Bless to all of us!

  50. Hi Bo, just got your CD on how to be truly rich and it’s one of the best investment I did. I Learn so much and it shifted my mindset into a new level of thinking. I was just wondering if you have any business ideas that i can venture into here in the USA. You mentioned webminar with Trace Trajano which i’ve missed. I know that you are pretty much booked and busy with all your engagements but a little help with some info would do. my greatest hunger had just awaken and it will conquer.

Please also pray for the success of my upcoming board and care facility here in southern california. close to finish with the licensing just need a more funding.

Thank you so much for sharing God’s wisdom, knowledge and humor. May God bless you even more. Until next time my brother Bo.

  52. Hi All! — Everyone, rich or poor, is capable of loving others by sharing their ” time, talent and treasure. ” Desiring riches in order to help those in need is for those who are steadfast in their purpose and faith in God, for along with riches comes the vulnerability to succumb into temptations , like the ” seeds that are sown among rocky grounds that don’t produce fruits. ” For those noble souls whom God has given the wealth for the good of His Vineyard, may the Lord bless them. Detachment of heart from wordly riches is the essence of spiritual love / being poor in spirit. ” Blessed are the poor in spirit for theirs is the Kingdom of God. ” To conclude, here are lines from Jose Maria Escriva, ” Leave those wordly things that shackle the heart and very often degrade it. …Leave all that, and come with us in search of Love ! Remember, ” A hundredfold and Life Everlasting ” . Would you call that a poor bargain? ”
Thanks Bro. Bo for this inspiring article.
God bless you and your family.
Have a good day everyone !

  53. I agree with you bro. Bo. :)
Critics may say something not pleasing but still, they are there to help us grow..
Indeed God wants to give us a life in abundance…

    John 10:10
The thief comes to steal and kill and destroy, but I have come that they may have life, life in ALL its fullness.

  54. I believe that God bless us so that we will be a blessing to others. In blessing us God used us as a channel of generosity and grace . Tithing is the best way. Our Lord don’t need our blessing, our money , our material wealth, all these belongs to Him pinahihiram lang sa atin, for us bless others..Like you Bo God has bless you with talent to preach , you are using that God given talent to bless us to help us realized and recognized our blessings. Thank you. Yes, through God’s grace our dreams for our children will come true.

  55. Hi there sir bo!

i feel that i really need an improvement with regards to being a giver, may be because we just got finished with one of our biggest financial obligation. i also worry too much about our finances because we have 3 kids, and other stuff to attend too that needs primarily of money.

i believe its natural to save for your familes future but needs not to forget that God is our No. 1 family!

Thanks for opening our minds and hearts!

    God bless us all!

  56. Hi Bo,

Nice article but readers tend to misinterpret it. Look at the replies…most have issues on financial tithing…they can’t afford it. There are hundreds of ways to invest in ones spiritual well being other than giving money.

Giving money is good..in fact its great!!! but for me the best investment in the world is living one’s life to it’s ultimate potential…generous financial tithing is just an effect .

    Abundance to us all!!!

  57. Reading all the replies, nobody really can’t afford.

    God don’t need your money.

  58. Bro. Bo, i’m still wally waldas at the moment. I’ll be working on to be Manny Mapagmahal ASAP. Thanks for the enlightenment. I’m so blessed I heard you over Radio Veritas and now I’m a regular Feast attendee. I can say I’m applying your teachings wherever I am and I continuously share to my friends about how great it is to be part of your community. More power and God Bless!

  59. thank you so much brother bo for sharing this wonderful article with us.

eventhough there are lots of problems, unfavorable fate or whatsoever here in this life, but still Dear God loves us. He loves us when we think of ” who he is and who I am”. So, we’ll just have to trust in Jesus that everything will be fine sooner or later because “Jesus saves at the very dying moment”.

Invest wisefully. Share. Receive… But when doing all these things, one must have LOVE because all your doings will worth vain and empty if this core factor is not expressed.
    God will bless us! :D

  60. hi bro.bo,

Thanks for the sharing becaus God love us so much kaya He gives everything we need. Regards and God Bless…

  61. Bor. Bo, this is a very inspirational article especially that we are in a global financial crisis. I will share this to people who has not read or heard about your article. Want to be no. 5. More power to you. God bless.

  62. thanks a lot Bro. Bo for this article… Wow!

    Godbless us all..

  63. thanks to to mcarthur… sguro kung natuloy tayo masakop ng mga hapon… laki siguro ng wallet ko… hahah! It’s really inspiring brother bo… you’re such a practical mentor and financial guru.

  64. Good day Bro.Bo. I agree to you. Because even me cannot give my 10% income o God. Before, I feel so lack in financial aspect, and giving is not my habit. As of my status in life that every centavo is just from every drop of a sweat. But as I discover this mystery of life, I just trying to give, to share….not the money but even but of anything that I can share including love. Bro. Bo, now, i just suffering in my job, because in an indefinite time, my job will lost because of a political crises here in our place. I’m almost three years here in this government agency but they didnt givin”me a chance to become a regular employee in this office, but I believe that God have a best job prepare for me…. in a ryt time…… in a right place……pls. pray for me..

  65. Hi Bro. Bo!

    You’re right Bo!

Previously I thought tithing was just like a “lost” money. But when I tried doing it for a month I noticed that it returned to me more than double. It’s not just that, I felt fulfilled knowing that I give back to GOD what is supposed to be His. In fact, without Him I will not be able to earn a single cent.

God is good and God really works in HIS mysterious ways.

    More power Bo!

  66. Hi Bro. Bo! I don’t have so much to say now but your talk last Sunday was another wisdom i received and for us people to ponder. Yeah right, Heaven and Hell are here. We only have to choose which to take. But i prefer Heaven by being useful to other people who need much care and be taken out from Hell. I may be guided and be blessed by the Holy Spirit in pursuance of my mission too. Godspeed!

  67. i don’t have a salary for a month’s work. but i don’t think i volunteered for it out of love and generosity.

i hope i’ll learn more about it - love and generosity

  68. Hi Bro Bo,

I’m finish with being gloria gastadora & wally waldas..
Pray for me to be healed with my current fiancial situation..

  69. Hi Bro.Bo,
Thanks for your article which has blest so many people
I agree with u on the matter of tithing and i do my best
i thought that if i used to spend so much for gadgets and for vanity how can i not give back to God what’s
His in the first place? I wish that i could just write out
a check anytime to anyone in need. . .i wish my wish
will come true. . .keep inspiring us all.

  70. thanks bo!i ‘m always inspired with ur blogs. they are always on time to answer my daily difficulties..i want to be manny mapagmahal so that i could personally meet u and finally thank u..step by step, i’ll make sure i’d be that manny mapagmahal!

  71. Hello Mr. Bo,

Thank you for the article. I liked it. As all your articles do. It has inspired. But like some people here, I want to start but I don’t know how. I remember the movie Evan Almighty, when Evan don’t know how to begin to change the world and God told him that that’s what everyone’s talking about, they want to change the world, but don’t know how to begin…

I am a student and they give me my allowance enough lang para sa baon and pamasahe. I managed n magtabi ng konti and when I attend a mass, nagbibigay ako pero barya lang. Huhu:(. Sometimes, wala akong maibigay. Masasabi ko rin na medyo kuripot din ako. Because bago ako maglabas ng money, I make sure na may matitira sakin.

But this article and like all your books remind me of what I should do. Not to hold on tight to your money. Open my hands and set my blessings free to blessed other people as well. We should all share our blessings.

Again, thank you for your articles.

    God bless everyone.

  72. In my personal experience as I stepped up from poverty to riches I concur that “money is never enough”. If you do not put aside money for the Lord you will never do it whether you are rich or poor. In fact it is easier to give 10 cents when you have a dollar than $100,000.00 when you have 1 million. Excuses, excuses…I’m tired of them and they wonder why they are poor. They do not have because they do not give.

  73. I think I’m #2 and #3… it just opened my eyes of how stupid I am…

I’m just starting to walk in this path now, medyo mahirap mag adjust kasi hndi ito ang nakasanayan. I’ve realized how much I’ve lost before and I didn’t realize it until I lost it all.

Bro you opened my eyes and heart.

    Thank u so much…

  74. thanks for a very insightful article, bro. Bo :)

    just wanna share:

we must always remember that we must GIVE TO GIVE and not GIVE TO RECEIVE.

How much money we give is not what really matters, but how much LOVE we give when we give our money away.

Indeed, God Himself doesn’t need our money. Why would He need it if He can create the whole universe? ;)

Mas magiging madali para sa atin ang magbahagi ng kung anumang mayroon tayo kung iisipin natin na ang mga tutulungan natin ay mga ‘kapatid’ natin, hindi basta lamang ibang tao.

God is truly the most GENEROUS of all time.
He is the greatest provider. :)

Abundance Philippines! Abundance to all of us!

  75. Bro Bo,
For me, you walk your talk…we are behind you as you continue to touch others lives…My husband and I believed in tithing and has been practising it since early year in our marriage…With your prayers we will also bring others to be Manny Mapagmahal…God bless you and your family always Bo.

  76. I like it,it really makes me grow as a person and have faith in God for he is good when it comes to investment. Everybody should read this book.

  77. Brother Bo,
Bakit Gloria naman ang pangalan nyo sa gastadora?
    Natatawa lang po! hehehe…
    =) Leny

  78. Hi Bro. Bo:

Thank you for your spiritual wealth paradigm. You hit the heart of the matter!
In addition, I would like to share a bit of wisdom in your topic on tithing & generosity.

…”the fundamental truth is, if you really consider GOD as your partner in the business of life, it is proper to give what is due to HIM. HE is the owner of everything we have in life (from the air we breath, sun light, water, family & friends, business opportunity, health, etc-in short we are just the steward of his wealth & blessings.

Do you think, is it proper and just to give the 50% share to GOD being as your partner? …But GOD did not demand it from us. What he requires us is just a 10% tithing only as HIS nominal share from HIS generosity to us. Why can’t we give what is due to GOD…
What do you think brothers and sisters?. We should be no.5 and beyond.”

    In CHRIST,

    Ranie P.
    more leverage!
