Want More Miracles? Be Generous.

This happened some twenty years ago.

One day, I discovered I only had P9,000 left in my savings, tucked safely in my desk drawer. Aside from that, I had P700 in my wallet. That was it. My entire net worth. The total sum of my wealth! I was the poorest “Chairman of the Board” this universe has ever known. (I was Chairman of two ministry organizations.)

At about nine that morning, a friend called up and told me that her daughter was in the hospital, and that she needed P9,000, pronto!

I wanted to ask her, “Are you sure it’s not P9,700?”

I closed my eyes and asked God what to do. And as clear as daylight, I felt He told me in my heart, “Give it to her.”

So I told my friend as cheerfully as I could, “Pick up your money here,” hiding my anxiety. At the back of my mind, I was already imagining the morbid consequences of my decision. Living with only P700 in my wallet meant not eating my favorite pizza.

A few minutes later, another friend barged through our front door, weeping, and told me about her family problems. It ended with her very nervous plea, “Bo, can you give me P500?”

I started laughing. “Not P700?”

She shook her head, baffled at my question. I pulled out my wallet and gave her P500. (When you have a very thin wallet, that simple act was very difficult to do!) But as I did that, a small crumpled, folded-up paper popped out of my wallet. I picked it up and couldn’t believe my eyes: It was another P500!

Where in the world did that come from? Suddenly, I felt God was telling me it was “miracle” time.

In my excitement, I wanted to get my P9000 ready to be given away. (Who knows what will pop out as I did that?)

I went to my room and grabbed the wad of paper bills from my drawer—and shoved it into an envelope. But before sealing it, I thought of recounting the cash.

I counted, “One thousand…two thousand…three thousand… four thousand…” I began to cry when I counted, “ten thousand… eleven thousand… twelve thousand… thirteen thousand… fourteen thousand… fifteen thousand!”

To this day, I don’t know where that extra money came from. Perhaps I counted it wrong the first time. But whatever reason, it really doesn’t matter. What I knew was God was telling me a very simple message, a message that I still bring in my heart to this day—“When I give, God will take care of me.”

I knelt down and said, Thank you Lord. You still want me to eat pizza.”

The Universe Is A Giant Mirror

I’ve never forgotten that lesson in my life.

Life is a mirror. If I smile at the mirror, the mirror will smile back at me. If I frown, the mirror will frown back. I don’t know about you, but I’ll be very worried if I smile at the mirror and the mirror frowns back. Heebeejeebies.

The universe operates like a giant mirror. What I give, I receive. Most of what happens to me is simply a reflection of what I’ve been giving to the universe.

People ask me why my life is so profoundly blessed. One reason is because I’ve been giving.

I remember one old story I’d like to share with you…

Trip To Jerusalem

When I was 16 years old, I won a trip to Jerusalem from a Bible Quiz on national TV. Not the “Trip to Jerusalem” where kids circle around chairs. (That’s how Filipinos call the game “musical chairs”.) I really won a trip to Israel.

It was the first time I was going to travel, and I was going to travel all by myself for 41 days, visiting 20 cities all over Europe.

Obviously, as a 16 years old backpacker, I was scared and excited at the same time. My mother sewed a hidden pouch on my socks and inserted my dollars there. Because they were very few. Her instructions to me, “Don’t stay in hotels, stay in convents. Don’t eat in restaurants, buy your food and eat on park benches.”

My first stopover was Athens, Greece.

I sat in the airport, waiting for my flight to Israel, when a somewhat plumpish woman (okay, really plumpish woman) came walking towards me carrying two huge suitcases.

I ran to help out. I said, “Madame, can I help carry your things?”

          She didn’t understand a word I said.

I knew a little Spanish, so I asked, “Puedo llevar tus cosas?”

          She also didn’t understand.

Being charismatic, I was tempted to speak in tongues. But decided against it. Instead, I used the universal language.

I held up my hands as though I was carrying two suitcases.

Immediately, she understood. She handed me her suitcases, thinking perhaps I was a porter.

I then moved my hand like it were a plane, made the “whoooo” sound, and said, “Jerusalem.”

Her face lit up. She did the hand action of a plane, the “whoooo” sound of a plane, and said, “Jerusalem!” We were going to the same place.

We walked to the airline counter. I gave my ticket and the kindly gentleman gave me my boarding pass. I was ready to fly.

It was the woman’s turn. She handed her ticket with a smile. The man read her ticket, shook his head, and said, “I’m sorry Ma’am, this is an invalid ticket. You can’t ride this plane.”

“Buy Her A Ticket!”

          She couldn’t understand him.

They had to get a translator, what language I have no idea, to tell her that she had to buy a new ticket if she wanted to fly.

Tearfully, she told them that she had no money. And that this was a stop over for her too, so she was stranded. The man behind the counter raised their hands in surrender, telling her they couldn’t do anything about it.

She picked up her suitcases from me. She walked to a corner of the airport, sat down, and wept loudly.

I watched her from the distance. How could I leave her like this? But what could a 16 year old kid do?

So I prayed, “Lord, what do you want me to do?”

I learned that was a very dangerous question to ask. Don’t take it flippantly.

Because in my heart, I felt God tell me, “Buy her a ticket.” It was absolutely nuts! Didn’t He know that my dollars was in my socks?

I walked up to the counter guy and asked, “How much is a ticket to Israel?”   He said, “$256”.

          Gulp.

But I knew in my heart that I had to do it.

A Miracle Happens

I walked up to the weeping lady.

Through sign language, I told her I was going to buy her a ticket. (I tapped my back pocket and did my plane hand action again.) She understood me immediately. She literally jumped for joy and hugged me. I disappeared in her embrace.

Gently, I brought her down. I checked for broken bones and found none. We both walked to the counter.

“Sir,” I announced, “I’m buying a plane ticket for this lady.”

The man gasped. He asked, “Do you know her?”

“No, I don’t. I just met her here.”

He shook his head. “Are you rich?”

I smiled. “No. But my Father is rich!”

He didn’t want to sell me a ticket. He called his big boss. In a few minutes, the man marched in and they both argued our situation.

Finally, when our flight was about to go, I thought I heard the big boss sighed in exasperation and said, “Okay. Let the lady fly. But don’t let this stupid guy pay!”

I couldn’t believe it. They were letting her have a free ride. My dollars remained safely in my socks.

Both of us boarded the plane. We even sat beside each other and prayed together.

I was sixteen when this happened.

You can imagine the impact this event had in my young life. I learned that if we give, God will see us through. I learned that giving will open my life to His miracles.

That is why to this day, giving has become a lifestyle.

My Friend Earns P1.5M In One Day

Last week, I wrote about a friend who told me he wanted to donate P1 Million to build one Anawim home, our ministry for the abandoned elderly. It’ll house 20 Lolos and Lolas that we’ll pick up from the streets.

He told me about his desire to donate on a Sunday.

On Monday, he texted me. He was so shocked because in one of his income streams, he earned P1.5M on that day!

          Talk about instant provision.

I believe miracles happen when we give.

Give and experience more miracles happen in your life.

May your dreams come true,

Bo Sanchez

  1. This reminds me of what you said when you visited Surabaya a few years ago. We were so blessed by your preach.

Being generous will create miracles but greater miracles will happen if we give to the right person at the right time. In other words, we don’t just give any person any amount we think we need to give. But whom and how much God says we need to give to. Like the story above.

    Don’t you agree?

  2. Very Beautiful story. So beautiful :) Thank you for sharing :)

  3. Dear Bro. Bo,

I now know when and how God talks to you. Your message today is one of them. I just came from dropping a donation that I pledged for a mission group. I was so tempted to just give half of what I promised but I made sure that I sealed the envelope before leaving the house. :) That amount would really hurt my “budget” for the next month or so but I know now that God will take care of my needs.

Thank you for being God’s messenger.

  4. I always have this feeling that if you are blessed you need to share what you received. In fact the more you give wholeheartedly the more you feel blessed. I just hope all of us will learn to give and not mind anymore if there will be something in return.

    God bless Bro Bo!

  5. thanks for sharing this bro bo :) i really love your newsletters. :)

  6. Dear Bo
giving is really a way of God to tell us that someone need us. But sometimes it is hard especially to those people na alam kong gumagawa ng masama, i felt na parang kinukunsinti ko pa ung wrong doings nya, pero their excuses was valid, only to find out that they lied… in the end i just look up and say Bahala Ka Na lang sa Kanila Lord”. basta ang alam ko nakatulong ako at masarap ang pakiramdam.

  7. Hi Bo,

I can really relate to this story. Over the weekend, I was to attend a retreat that had a fee of 800. It was out of my budget but I went anyway. On that night, I received a text from a friend of mine saying she deposited 1000 to my bank account as a payment for a debt that I had long forgotten. :)

  8. This is a very beautiful story.

  9. Thanks Bo for another wonderful issue. I hope I’ll be able to apply the things that you wrote here. I know that I’m having a hard time being generous to people who I believe are not worth being given to.

  10. …God bless your wisdom..generosity and love for all of us…you never fail to inspire me… I love you bro Bo…

  11. Thank you Bro. Bo. I pray that amidst my own financial needs, for I have no full time job for a month now (and I am the breadwinner of our family), may the Lord teach me to give still to those in need, those who are less fortunate than I am. Now I will resume giving to your ministry again through the Kerygma family. God bless your ministries and your family Bro. Bo. I really admire you and you are my constant inspiration in life. Thanks!

  21. Hi Bro Bo,

Thank you for this very inspiring article. I really enjoyed reading. I just have a question, do you choose who you help financially? Kasi di natin maiiwasan ung mga taong mapagsamantala lalo at alam nilang mapagbigay ka. My friend and I had a different opinion on this matter. Kanina lang before I read this article e nagaargue kami.

    Hope you can enlighten us.
You’re a real inspiration Bro. Bo.

  23. Dear Bro. Bo,

As much as I want to believe this, I have not felt it. I’ve been a very giving person but the more I give, the more that people ask!

  24. Dear Bro Bo,
Thanks for your very timely article on giving. I am struggling with giving money to my inlaws. My wife and I are already giving P20,000 monthly but there’s always a request for more. Should I give or not?
    God bless.

  25. Dear Bo,

Thanks a lot for this very amazing and inspiring article. I take it as one of my challenge at present.

God Bless you and your family!!!

  26. Dear Bro. Bo,

Thank you very much for this miracle story. It had happened to me several times but only now i realized it’s a miracle from God.

By the way, I’ve been to ANAWIM twice, I’ve forgot the exact year. It’s been a good theraphy for me because I’ve lost my parents already, my father last April 2001 and my mother last February 2007. My barkada’s were very kind enough to help me during those visits. Now i’ve terribly missed them, the ANAWIM lolo’s and lola’s and i want to come back again in ANAWIM but unfortunately most of my friends are now miles away from me and I’ve started working again last year after losing my job because of my operation last Aug. 2005. This is a miracle for me because at my age of 46 y.o. i still found a job, thanks Father God, Jesus and Mama Mary. Please inform me of future projects for ANAWIM.

Thank you again. More blessings and God bless.

  27. Dear Bro Bo,
God is really good. I have experienced also what you have experienced when my children were studying. Finding some cash in weird places in my closet when I so desperately need money for our family needs.
That is what I always tell everyone that He is really good, that maybe He willed that those cash be placed there and forgotten because I will need need them later; that a problem is not yet there but He has already made the solution.
    Thanks Bro Bo for everything!

  28. Are you sure you are not imagining things? Or worse, fabricating the details intentionally for a dramatic effect?

  29. wow…veri amazing BO….

  30. Bro Bo,

  31. You brought tears and smiles to me today. Thank you!

  32. AS always, God provides!!! He gives me everything I need at the time I need them. This makes me believe that I am soooooo blessed and there’s no reason not to share it with others, most especially to those in need.

I am always amazed of the chain of blessings God pours upon me. I just received another blessing few hours ago…

Thank you Lord! Thank you Bro. Bo for all the wisdom in your articles. God bless us all!

  33. Amen. Wonderful! :)

  34. i remembered that one time, after a mass, my boyfriend tucked in more than 5k in cash in an envelope (and we got nothing left but jeepney fare back home). he sealed the envelope and dropped it in the donation box of a small group who was then asking for assistance since their parish was burned down.

today, no matter what dire need we’re in, something always comes up when we most need it.

  35. I really don’t know what to write here..i have been typing, deleting, and re-typing all my entries…I don’t know how to put into words how greatful I am to God for all his blessings….I have recently ventured into a small business, and finances is still unstable but I am very thankful to God for His generosity for He always hear my prayers and he always provide me with my needs,,,

I just want to share this to all of you…I have been financially unstable for the past few months and it was Bro. Bo’s book that really made the turning point in my life…after reading SIMPLIFY AND CREATE ABUNDANCE, I have immediately put my ideas into action and started to practice and live up these simple guide for my finances…give 10% to GOD, save 10% for retirement, invest 10% and live on the remaining 70% of what you earn…though I am financially low I started sharing my allowances to God’s mission..I became a supporter of our kerygma family…and from that day on God has returned to me in so many beautiful ways the generosity that I have given to others….Thank you so much Lord for entrusting me with your blessings so that I may share it with others too…..
Thanks Bro. Bo for being a blessing to all of us…

  36. This is an eye-opener. I found myself becoming more and more miserly as time goes by. Nowadays, I sulk even for TEN PESOS that I gave extra because my BEST FRIEND had no change for the tricycle ride we shared. *sigh*
I have read the first part of this blog in one of Bo’s articles before. But reading it again today somehow made a big impact on me. Thank you so much!! God bless y’all!

  37. thank you very much for your message. im in a financial turmoil now. and after reading your sharing, I just have to re-examine my own life. thank you very much for inspiring me. God bless you!

  38. … And to that skeptic and to those other questions I’ve read on this thread, this is what I think:
I really don’t care if Bo was imagining things, or he deliberately tweaked details. I don’t even care if this, all this, was made up. What really matters is the lesson behind it. Bo is teaching us to GIVE. He is not teaching us when to give nor who to give to. And for goodness sake, I DON’T THINK THIS IS ABOUT WHAT WE’LL GET BACK WHEN WE GIVE!! After all, what is the point of giving if we’re just expecting something in return? Or maybe we just fail to acknowledge the blessings we receive. Whatever.
I may not be the best example for this, but I do know that God wants us to give to our brothers/sisters the way he pours His blessings on us: lovingly, wholeheartedly and unconditionally.

  39. thanks sir bo for always inspiring us…

  40. grabe bro bo! kung iisipin napaka hirap gawin….pero kung si LORD na mismo ang nagsabi pla ,talagang walang mahirap… may kapalit pa agad! u really inspire me bo! thankx bro!

  41. Amazing…i was touch by your story…keep it up!!!

Your one of my inspiration. Godbless

    cjb

  42. Thank you Bro. Bo for sharing us your wonderful
experiences with our Lord. I was really blessed.
With HIS unending provisions there’s no way we stop
giving out help to our brothers and sisters in need.

God Bless you always for being HIS faithful servant.

  43. its now 4am i couldn’t sleep coz im thinking of what God wants from me, i do not have a job until now.since 9 months ago. all i ever do is give my time to gk and my community. lately, i have been rocking the Lord then i come across ur article.

    thanks for the reminder…..

  44. dear bro. bo,

it is very interesting and happy story that you wrote.you know sometimes people says that “bakit ako magbibigay eh kulang pa nga sa akin”.well, its true but when does the money came from?diba God gives it to us, so you can share it to anybody who needs that.but not only money or material things but also you can share your life those who are needy.you know i was not happy to say that here in canada, filipino people here are “user” and greedy.like what i experienced here i cant imagine that your fellow filipino are not generous to each other. well, God knows what they work and it be back to them what they did.God bless and regards to your family.

  45. Dear Brother Bo,

Thank you very much for sending me the weekly soulfood. It really nourishes me spiritually. It had been one of my sources for inspiration, hope and guidance. I am so blessed to be included in your list for this weekly email that i keep on receiving from you. I know I can’t thank you enough but for sure God will bless you more for your generousity and for sharing us your inspiring and uplifting stories.

I wish I would be able to follow your examples. I know that for someone like me who is struggling financially after I lost my job almost 9 months ago and still jobless at the moment, i still would be able to give generously of what I have especially to people who really needs help. Don’t worry Brother Bo, I will continue to pray that one day soon God will give me the opportunity to support your ministries.

Till next email. . . My warmest regards to you and your family.

    Sisterly,

    Lovely from Sydney

  46. Can’t wait to share this to my kumares! How I wanted them to join our family so that they too can receive this wonderful blessings. Praying that someday will share the same food for our soul.

    Godspeed.

  53. moral of the story is to give whole heartedly and not expect anything in return.

  54. Dear Bro Bo,

Your story inspired me and miracles do happened. As long as we have a strong faith in our Lord everthing will be possible because our God is a faithful God.

    Thanks Bro Bo

  55. thanks Mr. bo for sharing.
It was a read worth the time. I really learned a lot. thank you again for inspiring.

Hopefully someday I can share my financial blessings to the elderly.

  57. hi bo,

been hearing a lot of your stories already, not to mention stories in kerygma mag, but you know, kahit paulit-ulit, i felt like it’s a constant reminder to us to do what the Lord wants us to do. Thank you for your inspirational stories and messages, it really touched millions of people, i also have my own stories, but needles to say, i know that somehow, i pleased the Lord! thank you again, God bless your ministry!

  58. Miracles really do happen if you have strong faith in God. But if you are skeptic, miracles will never happen.
Thanks Bro. for sharing this miracle events in your life !

  59. I decided to post another message to clarify some issues na lumabas sa thread na to. To “skeptic”, it is okay to ask but the way you asked your question, mejo offending lalo na sa mga loyal readers ni Bo. Anu naman mapapala ni Bro. Bo if he was just making stories, di ba? Sarili lang niya lolokohin niya, and if that is what he’s doing, do you think marami ang maiinspire sa binabasa niya? Please try to be a little more considerate kasi I am sure kahit mabait si Bro. Bo, maiinis din siya sa tanong mo. Hehe.

To Anne, I agree with her that Bo is teaching us to be giving. But giving unconditionally without expecting anything in return is far different from giving without thinking the consequences of that action. For example, iba yung pagbibigay sa isang pulubi or sa isang organization ng mga disabled sa pagbibigay sa mga taong capable naman pero tamad at abusive. Didn’t Bo teach us too na hindi tayo dapat bigay nang bigay sa loved ones natin if it leads them to becoming “parasites”? Kaya I hope hindi ma mislead ang mga readers katulad ko, kasi sa ibang teachings ni Bo, di siya agree sa mga taong nagbibigay pro masama yung epekto. We must think when to give and when not to. We should teach people how to fish, not only give them fish. They try to return the favor in other ways, at hindi po sila sa akin hingi nang hingi. Pero Kuya Mike, we can survive with less than 15 thou a month, to think na marami kami meron pang mga bata. So siguro po, eto lang sa palagay ko, giving 20k to your inlaws is more than enough, giving more will no longer be beneficial. Sooner or later, baka yung marriage nyo na po maapektuhan.

Anyway, those are only my ideas. I really believe that we must not be too extreme- giving too much (na wala na matitira sa atin) and giving too less (na masama sa loob natin magbigay). Balance is everything. We must love one another and help each other in times of need. But we must not put a burden on others kung capable naman tayo, nor shall we let others abuse us. Both are not healthy and good.

Thanks Bro. Bo for continuously inspiring us. No matter what your critics say, many people still love you, admire you and thank God for having met you. Keep up the good work and stay blessed!

    May Anne

  61. Hello Bro Bo,

I agree with you Bro. Bo, you know what, there are instances in my life that I have limited money in my wallet and then for some reasons people I don’t know ask me to help him/her dahil wala silang pamasahe pabalik sa bahay nila or ask me to help them because they have no food to eat. I just give my money kahit wala nadin ako pero God is so good, never naman nangyari sakin ang maubusan ng pera or hindi kumain sa maghapon. I just trust God that he will provide. GLORY TO GOD!!!

  62. Very inspring indeed…God Bless Tito Bo…=)

  63. Thank you for sharing your wonderful story.
    God Bless
Praise be Jesus Christ! for ever and ever Amen

  64. kaka inspire talaga yung mga nababasa natin. tandaan lang natin na may tamang panahon para sa lahat ng bagay. God is good

  65. Bro. Bo, I learned through your email that you were born July 11. I was born July 14, but a few years older than you are. Now I want to believe that people born under the zodiac sign Cancer are generous hehehe  Well, I can relate to your beautiful and inspiring stories about generosity. Actually I enjoy reading articles about giving.

In April 2002 when I attended the Life in the Spirit Seminar, there was a portion wherein the participants were told to ask for the gift that we want to receive. Everybody then started to pray. I closed my eyes, lifted my both hands then asked for the gift of generosity. But I didn’t even know if there was such. Suddenly after praying for it, I felt a single and tiny drop of water (like an eye drop) onto my right palm. I opened my eyes, looked to my right because the person next to me might have been perspiring already. But that person was too far from me. It immediately came to my mind that the drop of water might have been a sign that my request was granted.

In 2005, God gave me a job with a better salary. I then started practicing my gift of giving by reaching out to different types of people - street children, prisoners, indigents. The tithes, of course, is separate from these love offerings. There are also times that I am almost empty just to be able to help the people of different circumstances who are in dire need who come to me for help. It is really true that God loves a cheerful giver, and if we give generously, we also reap generously, beyond what we could contain. Giving is also like a test of faith on how much we trust God when we empty ourselves for others because we love and not because we want to be loved. I have done these several times knowing that God will never leave me empty. Truly, God never fails!

  66. I dont know if it’s mere coincidence, but I am just working on my own monthly income and expenses statement after coming out of a seminar about unleashing the highest potential of your money. I want to improve our finances by applying what I’ve just learned, and one of the teachings is giving 10% tithes or sharing to less fotunate brothers. Just thought of checking my fb and saw this! I feel like it’s a message from God. I want to be a part of your new baby Grace 100.

  67. bro.bo,

thanks for this very inspiring article…i want to be part of your new baby Grace 100

  68. wow!this is really a great story..Very inspiring!
    wow!
thanks a lot for sharing this to us..God bless!=)

  69. thanks for the great inspiration and motivation!…to whom much is given, much is expected in return…

  70. Kuya Bo.. your stories are my inspirations since i’ve been always up to date reading your articles.. Hope u can read this message..

I’m a reviewee in one of the review schools in sampaloc, manila.. I travel every weekends from pampanga to manila and every time my friends and i take our lunch in a fast food chain nearby.. i always see this old woman, just outside the food chain and waiting for people passing by there to give her something like food.. She’s been there since the first time we ate there and i bet she’ll stay there unless someone will go find her a place to live in..

I’ve been reading a your articles about your anawim home, your ministry for abandoned elderly so i hope u can help her too.. i’ll give her location where you can find her.. it’s at mc donalds lepanto branch in sampaloc metro manila.. there’s a (if i’m not mistaken) christian church just across the morayta road, in front of mc donalds.. i hope u can help her to live in anawim also..

thank’s a lot and may God bless u for the goodness of your heart!

  71. Hi Bro. Bo.

Another inspiring story :) ahhh… what can I say, every time you’ll send a wonderful story of blessings, it was always when I am at the lowest point of my life.. like At this point, i have less than 500 in my wallet and i have to budget this for the entire 2wks (to wait for the next payday).. like last payday, I was left with 300 but the Good part there is that I survived!!!!

You’ve always been one of the few angels that god sent me :) God be with you always..

  72. Dear Brother Bo,

I was so moved by your story that I realized my tears were slowly flowing. Thanks for reminding me to be generous especially to the needy.

    Chester

  73. Dear Bo,
thank you for this inspiring article..parang ang hirap isipin di ba? un n lng last money mo ibibigay mo pa? pero totoo nman tlga kpag nagbigay tayo mas marami ang bumabalik..Praise God..

  74. Dear Brother and sisters,

I am very happy I can give little something to others and I am thankful that God gives me that opportunity. I wish I can give more.

When I met a beggar or someone in need I know there are opportunities at stake for me from the Lord. Amen

  75. Dear Bro Bo.

Thank you for that inspiring article…I’ve been a follower of kerygma…since 2006 when my sister in law send me daily gospel.

My experience one time was when a day after my wedding day…when I really run out of cash…I had to give my brother in law 700 for his driver license…So without hesitation I gave my 700 at wala na talagang naiwan sa wallet ko…Grabeh talaga ang problema ko noon dahil after the wedding nawalan ng trabaho ang asawa ko….Nilinis ko yun wallet ko dahil alam mo na ang laman ng wallet ko ay mga resibo…at di ko napansin na may 1,500.00 pala nkalagay don sa my picture side ng wallet ko…alam ko miracle yun ni God dahil ilang beses ko yun tsinek…wla talaga laman yun…

Sana mapatuloy ko yun nagawa ko…kasi ang attitude ko is always promising to God if I earn something I have to give 10% but…lagi nabibigo…kaya siguro pag may dumating na pera sa akin bilis mawala…

Please pray for me brother Bo…to be generous to other…so God will bless me abudantly…

Your an inspiration to me Bro Bo.

    Praying for you always,

    Leizel

  76. Well, let me also share this miracle which happened to us about 2 decades ago.
Both my husband and I were new members of a Catholic renewal movement here in palawan, and we were committed to serve the Lord in the community. My husband was then out of a job, but, we still continued to serve the Lord. One time, we were worrying about where we will get the tuition fees for our 4 kids who were then in grade school, plus their books, uniforms, and other school supplies. Since I was the only one earning, it wasnt really enough as we have a 6-month old baby too. nevertheless, we still gave our time to God and whatever amount we can spare from our measly budget. One night, at about 10:00pm after serving in one of the series of lecture talks for the christian life program, we decided to visit the Blessed Sacrament in our Church, and there was one couple there whom we have not seen for quite a long time. They are our friends and the husband works as a dive guide in one of the resorts here. He and my husband started to talk in hushed tones as I proceeded directly to the inner chamber to pray. When I turned my head to them I saw that bebot(our friend) was giving a wad of bills to my husband, but he seemed to be refusing it. Anyway, they said their ggoodbyes and we stayed and prayed for another hour. Later, my husband told me this story: Bebot asked how he is now and my husband answered “Heto, hihingi ng tulong sa Kanya”, and with that, Bebot immediately got an envelope full of dollar bills and pulled out the sum of about 200 dollars! he told us that,”ang dami kong blessings dahil maraming guests nagbigay ng malalaking tips, i share ko sa inyo. If you want, pay when you are able, pero, pwede ring wag na.” Imagine, right inside the Adoration chapel at 10:30 PM! I almost wept and immediately thanked our Lord for this miracle because may pang enrol na kami sa aming mga anak! GOD IS GOOD!

We realized then that if you serve Him and your fellow christians, give Him a portion of your time and talent, He will always take care of your needs.

There have been other countless miracles which proved that God is faithful to His promises. Just be faithful in serving Him in your daily life, and He will always provide for your needs!

  77. dude bo,

  79. bro bo naka relate nman ako sa story mo today. kasi si god napa generous. gusto ko kasi mag donate sa grace 100 or sa anawin. anong account no ang gagamitin ko. thanks po.

  80. Bro Bo,

Praise God that through your Grace To Be Born ministry, you were able to help prevent 9 abortions! I have contacted Bro Rey regarding how I can help because I’m very much interested in saving babies and young women from this social problem. I pray that I can be of service to this ministry soon. Is it okay to drop by the ministry?

Last sunday’s preaching was very inspiring and I was totally blessed with abundance. I’m just a newbie at the workforce but I’m doing my best to save and be more generous especially for Grace to Be Born. I really want to help in my own little way.

    God bless!

  81. Hi Bo!

I am just your young avid fan since then.

You really give me a good enlightenment on how great is our God when it becomes to hardships and trials in our lives.

Honestly, I never thought that God will do his best to give us guidance and blessing as we praise and worship him

Thank you Bo for giving a good enlightenment not just only me but also other people who overseer your books and other things.

    May God Bless you Always!

  82. BO,

Me and my wife personally listened to this talk last Aug 9 at the FEAST at Valle Verde and i was so touched and blessed. I’d been attending the Feast for more than four years now but that was the first time i really cried (during the worship session singing the line “…PARA SA IYONG KALUWALHATIAN”. I realized that all the blessings i received shall be offered back to God with thanksgiving. All for HIS greater GLORY! That indeed was a touching experience. God is telling me to SHARE what he showered me. May God be praised!

  83. I love this article. I just bought your latest book “Don’t Worry Be Happy” and I finished it in one sitting. I also bought 2 more copies as gifts to my friends.

    Thanks,

    Sha Nacino

  84. Amen! It happens to me and my family all the time because God is good all the time! :)

  85. I am giving a very small amount everytime i attend mass and have pledge to give a food to a community once every month as my simple way of sharing what I have eventhough I am in great debt. I will never forget that day when the Lord gave me a job when I only have $3 in my pocket and He even sent angels to give me free board and lodging with free meals when I have nowhere to go. Its just so overwhelming to experience the Lord’s presence and miracles at the moment you needed Him most. Indeed, the Lord Jesus very generous.

  86. thanks for the reminder. :)

  87. Inspiring.. I miss a life fully relying on Him…

  88. Thank you. That was cute, Bo!

  89. thank you bro. bo for that enriching and inspiring story… thank you for teaching us to be more generous.
may God continue to bless all your endeavors and ministries.
