The Best Is Yet To Come!
A Wife Of A Jobless Husband Shares Her Story of Waiting…
I’m taking a break from my teaching series on “Getting Rid of Hidden Addictions.” (I’ll give the next article next week.) Let me pause to take a breather and share with you a beautiful story. I met Yane Pe Benito when I gave a talk at her company. Yane is a lovely woman with such an amazing story to tell, I decided to share it to the world.
Two years ago, Yane’s husband, Beni, without warning, lost his job. It was doubly painful because it was a great job. For 6 years, Beni enjoyed working in a multinational distribution company for skincare products. But because of a reorganization that happened in the company (which is happening in many companies nowadays), he was “redundated”.
Yane decided to tell her two small children, Gabriel (then age 6), and Marga (then age 4) about the sad news, carefully choosing the words she’d use to put it to them. “Kids, we have to take better care of our things… and not waste our money because …Daddy doesn’t have a job anymore.”
Little Gabriel said, “You mean Daddy was fired?” Yane was surprised at the bluntness of his words. “Now where did you learn that word?!” Her son said matter-of-factly, “From Peter Parker - Spiderman.”
But yes, redundated was just a fancy word for “Get out, we don’t need you here anymore.” Losing a job is always painful, even if it goes with a “separation pay” or a “redundancy package”. While Yane was thankful for the windfall, part of her was anxious, wondering how long their family was going to have to live off the separation package.
The first few months were OK; Beni got an average of two invitations per week to come for interview. But as the months stretched to a year — and then more, the invitations got fewer and far between.
During the almost two years of her husband’s joblessness, Yane was going through her own anxiety. As a mother to two growing schoolchildren, she saw their savings getting smaller. (As a contingency measure, she moved out of her 8-yr old job to accept a higher-paying one.)
But aside from the dwindling funds, she was also worried about Beni’s self-esteem. It wasn’t that he wasn’t trying; it was apparent thatthere just weren’t enough job opportunities for middle-aged men with his background and experience. There were actually two jobs that he accepted, but both were short-lived. Call it a conflict of personalities or a clash of styles, but he couldn’t see himself working there long-term. Anguished, Beni would walk out the door again.
And their marriage started to suffer too, since she was the one who was now earning for the family. “Will my husband’s ego take this for long?” she asked herself many, many times. As each month passed, she was getting more and more worried for Beni.
Yane began questioning God, “Lord, I don’t understand what else you’re trying to teach us! How else should we pray? What else should we pray for?”
That was when Yane realized that their prayer had to be more specific.
So she gathered her two kids around her and said, “Let’s pray for Daddy, that he would find a good job with a good boss – someone like his first boss in his former company.”
And so that became the family’s specific prayer. “Lord, please help Daddy get a boss that is as good and kind as his first boss in his old company, in Jesus name.”
One day, about a year ago from today, Yane came home from work and saw the kids and her husband in a huddle. “What’s all this about?” she asked.
She heard her kids whisper excitedly, “Show it to her now!”
Beni handed her a brown envelop.
Yane thought it was something from the kids’ school.
But no. As she slowly pulled out the paper from the envelope, she read the name of a company…then her husband’s job title… then his salary… At these, she merely nodded in satisfaction.
But when she got to the bottom of the paper, she was shocked. For there was a signature. It was that of Beni’s favourite boss!
To her kids’ astonishment, Yane began to cry and laugh at the same time. She could hardly believe it! Like a child, she jumped up and down with joy, much to the kids’ amusement who jumped and laughed along with her.
Gabriel asked his mother, “Mom, why are you crying and laughing at the same time?”
Yane saw a great opportunity to explain, “I’m crying because I’m so happy, son. Remember how you prayed for a good boss for Daddy? Look at this name,” she pointed to the paper she was holding. “We were merely asking for a boss that would be like Daddy’s old boss. But no, God gave your Daddy exactly the same boss! He answered our prayers!”
That was when Gabriel began to sob.
“Why are you crying?” Yane asked.
“Because I’m so happy too,” the little boy said, as the entire family embraced each other.
When Yane shared me this story, I knew I had to share it with you.
Because all of us go through many hardships and losses.
We lose our jobs, we lose our loved ones, we lose our money, we lose our friends… And sometimes, we wait and wait for the pain to go away, for the loss to be recovered. Sometimes, we wait for a long time. (Yane and Beni had to wait for two long years.)
But in the end, I believe that God has prepared the very best blessing for you.
Have faith. Trust. The best is yet to come!
I remain your friend,
Bo Sanchez

Hello Bro. Bo, The story was really inspiring. I also experience the stuggles of waiting. Yet, I hold on to the fact that in the end, I’ll be happy, and that my waiting is worth it, as I have my God with me. Just as He’s always with you. Thanks for your continues effort in inspiring many people, that includes me and my family. God Bless.
this story is in fact sort of God’s answer to me…there’s this something I’ve been praying to God for quite a long time now but maybe I wasn’t just too specific…I’ve been patiently waiting, for I know and I believe that God will surely give the best and it will come in His most perfect time…thanks so much for sharing this story and thank you so much Bro. Bo for your giftedness…God bless you and your family…

“the Lord has given, the Lord has taken away, blessed be the name of the Lord”.. this saying by Job now became our inspirational thought, as we now realize that God really has the right to everything and is control of everything and that whatever He is giving us is the best for us all His children..we praise and thank God that He is using instrument like you to send His message to us all, especially when this time of trials come, my wife was diagnosed with cancer and we are both in dubai struggling for her coming treatment and being parents to four kids in the Phils.and to keep on serving God thru our community Couples for Christ and we are receiving lots of support from our bros. and sis in the community such as Bro. Paul and Sis meldie Gamboa who lend us your books and audio cds to hear your inspirational talks ..thank you so much bro. bo, my wife is a very big fun of yours, unfortunately we missed your talks here in dubai and sharjah, due to her illness.hope to read and hear from you soon.Godbless you more and your kerygma family.

That was really really inspiring!!!… The article lifted my spirit and kept my patience to wait for something that I have been praying for long… Thank you and praise GOD for this beautiful message that you sent me…
What a great Job!!! You really touch our lives Bro. Bo.
The story is so inspiring . In God’s will me and my husband will be sweet and happy with each other. Also that he will be matured enough to face all the trials in his his life and in our family. Me, that time will come I will have my own business, a mini grocery a mini-stop type of business that can help me to be proud of myself. Time will come that God will be the center of our family. Again thank you so much….God bless you and your family.
Dear Bo,
Have Faith, Trust. The Best is yet to come. I will keep these words into my heart.
I am also now into same situation. I have to resign from my job because of the pressures brought about by verbal abuses , humiliations, harassment from my former GM. I also pursued a legal case against him. My children are in college. I almost have nothing for our daily living. I keep praying to God for that financial blessings, another good job, yet I havent seen sign of this happening.
Your article brought me hope, and reconfirm God will answer our prayers IN HIS TIME. We jus have to learn to trust HIM. Please pray for me and my family.
Dear Bro. Bo,
Thank u so much for this heart-warming story. You really never fail to inspire your readers. Your Christian way of life, particularly your deep faith in God, serves as our personal guide in facing all our ordeals in life. You are indeed one of God’s best gifts to men.
God bless you and your family. Kudos to your parents for raising a son like you.
Dear Bro.Bo,
awesome! what a story about faith and power of prayer.. and that only proved how great and powerful a child’s prayer is to God. now, i strongly believe that children’s prayers are never never left unanswered by Him.. sometimes, we really need to become like a child, .and pray like a child.
more power to you Bo…
God bless.
Hello Bro Bo,
God is so great for touching you to write this article. No timing can be more perfect! You see, I have just arrived here in New Zealand last week in a Work to Residency Visa. I am now in the process of looking for a skilled job in order to obtain a Permanent Residence Visa… For days now I have been praying to God to find me a suitable job.. tomorrow is my very first job interview, this article gives me hope.
Hi Bro. Bo,
Thanks for the uplifting story. I really need that. Am a new migrant here in Australia and still looking for a good job. Sometimes we really want to be reassured that God is preparing the best blessing for each one of us. We just have to trust and wait for our GOD’S BEST!
God bless you more and more.
Hello Bo!
What an inspiring story to show how good God is! He never fails anyone as long as we put our full trust in Him…God is just so gooood! Not just once, twice or thrice, but ALL THE TIME!
See you Sunday at the Feast!
God Bless!
God really works in mysterious ways. we just have to trust Him that all the things that he is doing now is for our good we just have to believe!
this is a very inspiring story! a story that will definitely make you think twice before you question God’s plans for you!
hi bo!
me and my husband is going thru the same hardship but i know God wanted us to learn more and to just wait at His right time and also to trust in Him and believe that there are much more better things to come.Tnx for the story! God Bless!
the story is a clear manifestation that prayer really works….
thanks be to God for hearing Sis Yane’s prayer …
God is so good
Gud day Bro. Bo,
As I read your article I was really touch for it sounds the same of what my family is experiencing now.I was enlightened on what to do when I rerad it.I thank the Lord for giving you, Bo, as my comforter.
GOD BLESS……..MORE POWER…..
This happened to me and my boyfriend, as well. We really need a job that somehow can compensate our financial needs and at the same time provide the experience that we wanted to gain in our industry.
When we pray, it should be specific. And voila! God really does give what our hearts’ desire all for His glory.
Praise God! What a loving God! ^_^
very touching indeed, definitely helped us to hold on to our faith..
Hi Bro Bo, I am into my 15th month of joblessness and I thank God because I see it as a 15 months of a good and fruitful vacation with my family here in Palawan.
My contribution to kerygmafamily is about to run dry, please help me pray that I can continue my subscription when it expires. (or should I say, please help me pray that I be accepted as a Sr. Acct. Mgr for Globe in Palawan before the end of the month).
Praise be to God the Father, the Holy Spirit and to our Lord Jesus Christ.
Noel
Wow… I met Miss Yane before she moved to Pioneer. And I couldnt imagine that behind those lovely smiles then was a woman in pain… and yet, through her strong faith, she has proven that there is a miracle in prayers… and that God’s answers are always wiser than our prayers.
Honestly, this makes me teary-eyed (just ashame to cry in in the middle of my colleagues). Maybe, because I have a prayer that aged a century but was not answered yet. It is specific, coming from my heart. Maybe… the answer is NO but I don’t want to give up. How would I know if the answer is “NO” or just “Please WAIT”, brother Bo?
INSPIRING!!! Prayer is really very powerful. Yane’s story made me realize that I should make my intentions more specific and should never cease PRAYING UNTIL SOMETHING HAPPENS (PUSH)….and I thank God for all my answered prayers.
Dearest Bro Bo,
Oh my, you are such a God sent blessing to us !!! Just last night my husband and I talked on how we can sustain our children’s education when his take home pay is not even enough to take him home after all the deductions. That same night ,our son told us he can’t take the midterm exam cuz we haven’t paid his tuition yet.Bro Bo, you’re just in time! In this moment of trials and hardships, what we need are soothing and assured word like you have, to face the world and brace ourselves with the assurance that GOD ANSWERS OUR PRAYER IN HIS OWN PERFECT TIME.Thank you for sharing us this story. GOD BLESS YOU ALWAYS.
I have to say that Yane’s story was so moving because I could relate to it personally. Her story gave me hope that there are still blessings in store for me just as long as we keep the faith. To Yane, may she and her family be more blessed. Bo, thanks again.
Yes you are right Bo. God really and trully answers prayers. We were all laid off in 2005 when the company we were working at, moved to Mexico. I was jobless for two years doing part time jobs.
Now I am working for a stable company and was made a regular employee May of this year. I will be 70 years old come Oct. This is almost a miracle, landing a good job at may age.
God really has His ways and works Mysteriously for all of us who believe and pray fervently.
I was amazed and really glad that Yane prayers were answered by the Lord in the most amazing way. I have been experiencing the same situation, only that it’s been ongoing for the longest time. To me, the two years we’re just but peanuts. I have been married for almost 17 years and even up to this time, my husband does not have a permanent source of income nor any kind of work that you can call a job. He has his own idea of what he wants to do and he wanted to hit it big, just like one time, big time. It has been a source of disagreement as far as I can remember. I trust God, but sometimes I don’t know what His will is. I prayed over and over about my husband to be able to find a stable income…I still have to see this come to pass. I still am waiting, still trusting, still is hoping. Maybe one day, God will hear me….just like He did with Yane. Please pray for me and my husband.
Hi Bro Bo!
Thanks so much for sharing this story. I have a similar situation bec my contract ended in my previous job so I’m back to the drawing board. I’ll keep this advise and story in mind. I also believe that there’s a reason for everything that happens even if it’s painful. This story gave me hope that I find a suitable job soon. Once again, thank you so much. More power to you.
Yes GOD is really GREAT. It’s not only Yane who encountered this kind of problem . I also did but GOD help me and my husband to overcome it . Our waiting time was more than 2 years. We tried different types of job and businesses to worked out our financial needs. It came to a point that my husband gave up and offer to GOD his worries. But really PRAYER is powerful .
Thanks.
Nice story. Thanks for sharing this, Kuya Bo.

More power and God bless
God always answer our prayers. but sometimes we have to wait, for it is in His wisdom that everything has its own time and purpose. the story of yane is very inspirational. thanks for sharing the story with us… Godbless…
Thank you, Bo and Yane, for sharing this story.
My family is also in a very similar situation and for five years, I have prayed to God, “Your will be done.” But now, I have to let go of even that tiny amount of pride, and I am also asking my three-year-old son to join me in praying “Give us this day…”
I have not yet received what I am praying for, but I feel at peace, knowing that God knows the best time. I have been waiting for five years. I can wait a little more.
God bless us all!
Dear Bro Bo,
Thanks for sharing the story of sis Yane Pe Benito, just read it today.
I’m inspired with the sharing ‘coz at up to this moment I have problem with my receivables from a muslim couple named BASIK and EMMA OMAR whom I lend P100T plus to start their money changer May, 2006 and also their dues to my credit card. I was shocked when on Aug.14,2007 I called up their store and the landlady who answered the phone told me that they went home to Zamboanga and will come back the week after but until now they have’nt come back.
Please pray for me that God will provide funds to repay those loans of which P65T is the money of my niece and and the rest to my credit card.
Thank you for your unending prayers.
thanks for this wonderful story. It really inspires me…
Hi, Bo! — Hugggggg!
Just exactly what I needed.
Thank you for being God’s angel to send these thoughts and messages to me/us. It is truly uplifting and inspiring - who could have thought that I’m/we’re praying ‘wrongly?’ God does not choose who He listens to, does He? It is just a struggle to be hanging on, ‘keeping the faith,’ and surrendering to Him, sometimes.
Continue to be the bearer of ‘good news,’ and fill our spirits, reminding us of God’s greatness and graciousness - at every moment.
God bless you and your love ones.
Thank you, too, for praying for us… Never tire..
Tisha
Hugs to Yane and her family, too. I am glad that you have become (willing) instruments of God’s plans, and that, now, you have become a living testimony to His much greater and grander plans.
How blessed are we that we learned of your struggles and triumphs, and now, rejoicing in the Lord!
God bless you all!
your story was really poignant, it is realistic and i learned from it.
i wish and pray that i would be as optimistic in the midst of problems.
more power!
Re prayers, this is something that can overwhelm me and move me to tears, knowing we have a loving, caring and powerful God who knows the best for us. Although sometimes I am embarassed when I shed profuse tears during the praise and worship part of the Feast. I just can’t control it, all the time, I am just too overwhelmed!
Prayers and faith in God are my weapons during the past 33 years when I got so disillusioned with the man I married, that last year, after several attemps, I finally decided to break loose from the covenant. After all, I believe, I have the right to be happy.
As we seldom see each other because of the nature of his job, it was easy for me to do my plan. A priest-counselor even supported me. I let my husbad know of my decision and for the few times that we see each other, I gave him cold treatment, no words, no concern, no nothing- as if he did not exist.
However, I would always pray for Gods’s will. I have misgivings with my decision. I told Him that I will do anything no matter how diffifult if only I know it’s His will for us.
Until one day, over a year after, I finally opened a book I once purchased. It was a Bible based book on how to keep marriage alive. I had a lot of realizations and knew it was God talking to me. I realized how good a man I married and how I pushed him to doing things that I hated which were my source of frustrations. A few pages later, I texed him and thanked him for holding on, that I have a lot to male up.
Now, we renewed the relationship and we never talked anything about the past. We just learned from it. Above all, I acknowledge God’s answer to my prayers and His grace which wiped out my negative attitude to our relationship. 33 years of chaotic marriage was healed in an instant.
I am writing this to share to other desperate couples that regardless of the nature of the problem, God’s grace heals.
Hello everyone.
I’ve been into that situation. A regular employee of a big radio station, retrenched and has no work for more than a year. Indeed God is so good. He gave me a much stable job now… and a wonderful family too.
Dear Bro. Bo,
Thank you so much for the inspiring story! it really awaked me to have a full Trust and always hold on to the promises of God….Faith in Him plays an important role in my life…God bless and more power…
I was really touched by this story.it is about waiting..thank you for sharing me this story, Bo..I myself is also in waiting..waiting for my complete healing.. and also from the pain from the loss of a mother..God bless you
Bro Bo. hello
saw & heared you talk during the Trubute to teachers at the Araneta. You were amazing! truly you touched so many people including yours truly. Yane’s story is no different from what I am experiencing now. Financial crisis, etc…. Have been praying to God and He is answering my prayer in trickles, but that’s ok. I believe i will get over this in His time. Thank you and more blessings to you & your family.
Hi bo!
wow! what a story!. it gets me misty-eyed. not only that, it makes me more hopeful for my husband too. I’m here in dubai working. i’m planning to get him a visa and eventually look for a job here. the fact that job opprotunities for men here are less than for women, we are still hopeful that he’ll find a job. we just have to have faith since THE BEST IS YET TO COME~!.
thanks for always inspiring us Bo.
dear bro.BO,
thank you so much for this wonderful sharing..this is wat i need right now becoz i am jobless right now & sometimes i do feel down & depressed, but i have more time now & i always view preacherinbluejeans & other stuff you have and i do get inspired & blessed. Thank you! you are Godsent to me. It strengthens my conviction that in God’s own time God will give me a job where i can be happy & where the bonding & relationship i had in my workplace before will be the same as my future job. This sharing had given me hope and faith in God’s faithful love. God bless you with all that is good!
Thank you for this wonderful story… almost the same situation i’ve been into…with this sharing.. it keeps my faith burning, and give me more hope in the coming years of our marriage life…as of today i live with my parents together with my son while my husband is living with his parents too…he’s working as a medical representative and most of the time he’s out of town.. i know the work is hard but i totally believe in him..trust him and always pray for his safety…all i pray now that he may get regular by the company he’s working with and pray that in due time.. or in God’s time we will have our own home to keep our family together….
Thanks God for your very inspiring story.
Please pray for the complete healing of my son Hyacinth from his depression and for him to get a good paying job SOON! I believe God hears your prayers!
This is an inspiring story and exactly related to the book I just read…”The Secret”. This book is fantastic! It would change your life on a positive note =)
i am so moved by yane’s story..this is exactly what’s happening to my family right now…my husband losing a job because he cannot accept the conflict his work created in our family life (imagine my special angel was confined at the hospital for 4 days and he was able to be with us only on the day she was discharged)…losing that job didn’t do well with his ego as well, he was broken in spirit and self-esteem..it’s been 6 months now..sometimes the conflict is still there..all i’m askng for the Lord is to bring back his self-worth, his belief in himself, a job that will make him happy and a truly happy and peaceful family life. the strain of all these things really affect our marriage…but i continuously hang on to the LOrd that He will provide for us esp for our dear daughter who is in need of constant medication…
Dear Bro. Bo,
Your stories are inspirations for millions of readers around the globe. . . You are doing great things for us, God gave you the knowledge and ability to share. . Continue to cater the whole world. . God Bless you and your family. . .

Gob Bless you and the Kerygma family and especially all of the readers who are waiting for their personal miracle… because true enough, the best is yet to come.
bro bo,
Keep up the good work. you really touch and help us realized what we must expect on the extend that God can really give us what we want thru our prayers. Gobless
Thanks Bo for the timely and inspiring story. You see, my husband was redundated too from his job last June and up to now he hasn’t found a new one. And yes, as from Yane’s story, maybe our prayers to our God the Father have to be specific. The story gave us courage to go on holding on to the Lord, and believe in HIs time He will give my husband something to tide ourselves up to his retirement age.
Dear bro Bo,
Glory to God! He answers our prayers if we ask with sencerity of heart. Act on that faith because Faith without Action is nothing.
thanks bro Bo for sharing Yane’s story. May God bless us all!
Dear bro Bo,
Glory to God! He answers our prayers if we ask with sencerity of heart. Have Faith. Act on that Faith because Faith without Action is Nothing.
Thanks bro Bo for sharing Yane’s story. God bless us all!
Such an inspiring story Bo!
What a coincidence, I just watched “The pursuit of happyness” last night with my wife and read this article today. These kinds of stories really touches the heart and soul. For God indeed has plans for each and everyone of us.
dear bo,
just a child trusting his father about something childish in a way. but it happened beyond science could ever explain…one christmas season i was so amused to see sparkling yuletide bulbs inside the sala. coz of that strange feelings i asked the Him, “Lord , I’d wish to praise you every moment that the bulbs spark. so i told my wife all about it but i met heavy resistance from her and told me about the consequence about the idea. she told me about the probable cost that would entail in that silly stuff of mine. from the 2nd week of december would surely give us an electric bill of 3,000 plus. but i insisted to her to show to God that i already have found some interest in loving him for the first time. by giving Him 24 hours in thanking and praising Him as a sign of my thoughtfulness. by that pleading she consented at last. Now just as we ended the new years’ eve merry making, we took our breakfast with the family. there was a man knocking at the door and was asking to read the electric meter. WELL, TO OUR GREAT SURPRISE, it only read 15 pesos, instead of 3,000 plus. he demanded from us whether we took our holiday season somewhere.. we just remained silent…oh my God!!! he doesn’t know how to cheat…but we all knew that the light and the energy came all from Him on that one christmas season was a heavenly light….Indeed a HEAVENLY LIGHT…was it a miracle???? ” Unless you become like little children, you can not enter the kingdom of heaven”…
fantastic
Hello Bro. Bo,

Dear Bro. Bo,
I was really touched with Yane’s story and I can relate to their experience since our family suffered the same fate and I know how hard it is to explain to your children that we won’t be visiting Jollibee and McDonalds for some time. But it’s in your emptiness that you will really find that the Lord is in control of everything and the only effort He needs from us is our trustworthiness, perseverance and patience in Him.
Thank you so much for the inspiring messages.
P.S. I signed in as a member of the Kerygma Family and I want to send my contribution by using my credit card. Could you kindly assist me or send me the procedure how to go about with this process. Thanks. God Bless.

i am amazed at the timeliness of this story. your last statement mentioned that we do indeed suffer hardships, of great loss, of loning for the pain to heal and for the loss to be recovered. in a matter of 3 years, i lost both parents and 2 of the people whom i could say i loved the most (by far) walked out on me. although i am stiil int he midst of this yearning and seeking for answers, this story has given me a glimpse of hope.
in the silence, in the pain, and in our emptimess, may we hold on to patience, never give up, and may we open our hearts to God’s coninuous healing. indeed, His answers will come at the perfect time.
many thanks to yane for this blessed story, and to bo for his chosen vocation that continues to touch the hearts of those who have lost or are losing hope.
you are a beacon of light that leads us back to the loving arms of our dear father.
God bless you.
Brod. Bo

God said “ask and it will be given to you”. “You do not have because you do not ask,” said James (James 4:2). Even though there is no limit to God’s goodness, if we didn’t ask Him for a blessing yesterday, we didn’t get all that we were supposed to have.
That’s the catch -if we dont ask for His blessing, we forfeit those that come to us only when we ask. In the same way that a father is honored to have a child beg for his blessing, our Father is delighted to respond generously when His blessing is what we covet most.
Dear Bro. Bo,
This story is really amazing because God really answers our prayers. Sabi nga “Ask and you shall receive…”. What I realized was our prayer must be specific and we must ask humbly and faithfully from Him. Lastly, we must count our blessings so that we can appreciate what we have now.
Thank you very much for sharing this story because it made me realize how blessed our family is right now.
God bless!
dear bro bo,
during the early part of the renewal i was also jobledss & did the similar prayers with my 3 kids who were then 6, 4 & 2 yrs old . 8 mos after, i was hired as acct. clerk from multinational pharma comp. until i reached the rank as dist. manager for 16yrs when i availed the early retirement package offered. after a year i lost all my retirements in a wrong business venture. i then focus my time serving the lord in various church activities. 3 yrs after, the lord gave me another job , this time as regional manager of a pre-need comp but left the after 4 yrs when i realized internal problem w/in. Its been four years now(still jobless} but i continue to work for the lord. during the last 5mos or so after listening from your daily internet program i started again to pray for a job, and i sensed something new is coming, this time from a pharma company which i enjoyed working with.
God bless and more power to you brother. you really inspired me.

Thanx BO for sharing this inspiring story.Im experiencing the same situation right now,but after reading this i know that GOD is telling me that THE BEST IS YET TO COME. GOD BLESS!!!
Dear Bro. Bo,
We are in a very similar situation right now…I am the husband though. I just pray that GOD will not let me wait that long…we’ve got 6-kids. Please include me in your prayers…God bless!!!
I was married june 2005. Back here in Rome 1month after our wedding. I haven’t seen my husband for almost 2years. I started to prepare all his documents for petition since I came back, but until now he is still in Philippines. Honestly sometimes I feel depress. This article I thank the Lord because He reminded me of His goodness! Truly that the Lord has a plan for each in everyone of us. He knows the best for us, He knows everything we need. I’m sure like what happened to Yane, God will also answer my
prayer: With my FAITH, TRUST AND HOPE with the Lord, one of these days my husband will be here with me.
Bros and sis in Christ, like Yane and her family let us always be close to God, hold on to Him… He said: ANG NAGLILINGKOD AT SUMUSUNOD SA KANYA KAILAN MAN AY DI NIYA BIBIGUIN.
In His Time…PRAY WITHOUT CEASING….
Dear Bo,
I was pleasantly surprised to read your article on the story of Yane who is a close friend of mine since we were in gradeschool. Her story is indeed inspiring. As her close friends we shared her anxieties and supported her and prayed with her. I am happy that her story has touched a lot more people thru your article. God is truly good. We just have to persevere in prayer and He will give the best for us.
May you continue to share stories that inspire others and strengthen one’s faith in God.
God bless,

Hi Bro. Bo,
Thanks for this touching story. This reminds me of Jesus’ words which says, ” Look at the lillies of the fields, the birds of the air, they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, yet even Solomon in all his glory , was not arrayed like on of these..” God knows our needs before we even ask for it. He said, ” Seek first His kingdom and all things will be given unto you…” With childlike confidence, we entrust our needs to Him.
Thanks once again. God bless you in your ministry, as you sow Jesus’ Gospel to all the ends of the earth!
Bro. Bo,
This kind of story only affirmed my faith to God, especially in similar situation currently happening in my personal life. This is a “nudged” or a kind of “psst ” from God saying, “Hey I am just here”. How can I be anxious in the face of similar situation? In the movie, Evan the Almighty, God in the person of Morgan Freeman consoled Evan’s wife by saying, “when you ask God for strength, He will give you the opportunity to show strength. When you ask for Love, He will give you the opportunity to show Love.”
How wonderful our GOD is !

Yane & Beni’s story’s so inspiring! I hope it will happen to me too.
Right now, I don’t have a job or any income and that was for the last 4 years. Right after we lost our business, a calling from God came. Me and my wife were involved in our parish as Basic Ecclesial Community (BEC) members and a month later, I was recruited as Eucharistic Minister. After 5 mos, I was appointed Social Service & Development Ministry chair, and elected president or parish coordinator of the BEC. Since then, we’re deeply involved w/ the parish works and later, w/ our vicariate and diocesan ministries.
I don’t know how we survived during the last 4 years without any income, but I feel that God’s providing for our needs. We have 2 sons. Our eldest found a job only last year while the youngest (also serving as an altar server) is now in his senior high.
‘Tho I’m now on my 49th, I still have faith that our Lord will still give me the right job that won’t affect my church services. Bro. Bo, please pray for us!
dear bo and to all commenters,
not only the story of yane that struck to the core of each one but the comments of every soul as they shared their faith encounter with the divine, even just by commenting, with hope and trust for the resolution of one’s difficulty is already a tremendous power to watch and see the GOODNESS of the LORD.
hello commenters,
this is now the time for all of us to pray for BO in unison, for allowing God to use him as a marvelous instrument of healing and giving faith and hope for those who are hopeless, esp. for those who walk in the boulevard of broken dreams.
for each comment shared has made us to unfold and unveil the “God Within in Me” or ” the God Within Us” to whisper into our ears (hearts) that says, ” you walk, my child…you can’t reach or touch the clouds unless you joyfully jump as hard you can in prayer that is fully throttled in expectant faith… Coz, ” the book tells, ” Faith is to be sure of the things that you cannot see…And to be certain of the things that you hope for..” it isn’t nice????
so, we come together and pray for BO, Lord, thank you for the comments of everyone that make us to yearn more for more enlighthenment as a community or circles of faith who are in love through Bo’s article….inspire others to share their encounter nor their brokeness, with the hope that you alone can heal and provide the things that we need in this wonderful temporary life, as long as we are in your loving presence. hold us tight, lord, hug us with your loving warm embrace to assure us that there is always that light in the end of the tunnel….and we know deep inside, you are that light glowing in the dark at first just an ember……nowwww it is becoming intense…soothing in every parts of my nerves, tendons and engulfing my whole heart to jubilantly acclaim, how lovely is your dwelling place, Oh lord…Amen and Amen…
bro. bo,
Thanks for sharing the inspiring story of yane. It’s been five years now that we are praying for a baby, I belive, He’ll answer our prayer in His time.
Continue to bring the message of God… You are truly God sent!
Thanks Bo, your a god sent to every body, your always giving us a hope in the name of the lord. Im your avid fan. Thanks be to god.

the story was very inspiring.. it inspires many people to strengthen their faith in God.. in times of hardships, we should remember that God will never ever live us.. Bro. Bo, it was a good story to be remembered..it values hope and patience.. yes! i could relate to this story since I’m also waiting for something better to happen…
Hi Bro Bo,Yane’s story touches me so much coz same happened to my family years ago. My husband from 10 years of working in a 5-star hotel all of a sudden lost his job. Same with Beni, he also struggled from accepting the fact that he has to face competition from younger applicants and such a sad fact, a lot prefers them than the experienced ones. With our 3 kids, praying and holding on to eachother, gave us strength and hope that time would come that our prayers would be answered. I just kept on telling my kids that maybe GOD is taking care of the others who has deeper cries than us, we just have to continue believing that our time will come. He alone knows when is the right time.
Until that day came….
My husband is now working abroad and I myself found a job. I rem my kids saying our miracle came mom, you were right, it will come…
another day to live with your soul-touching article Bo. may God give you more decades to live on to continue your character as God’s messenger…
life has lots of ups and downs, we may not like and enjoy every moment of it, but what is important is living it to the fullest and always anticipate for a brighter tomorrow… through our faith in God and his graces.
thanks for all the wonderful stories….
God bless!
Very inspiring! This is my boss’ story. Just have faith, indeed! Many are the choices of men but it’s only God’s purpose that prevails. His purpose is always to give us something greater than what we asked for!
What a really inspiring story! I’ve been hoping to get a scholarship abroad so that I can teach at my alma mater. I tried once before but wasn’t accepted. This article has given me hope, that tomorrow, my dreams will come true. =)
I have the same experience like Beni’s before. I lost my job and became jobless for 2 years. With guidance from ABOVE, with a little savings my wife(jobless too) and I decided to setup a small gift/school supplies/internet/computer shop(all in 1 small place). Its not that easy at the start because there’s already a established same businesses around us. But my wife’s PR and my customer satisfaction guarantee somewhat put us on the competition level. Then my wife’s got pregnant on our 2nd baby.
I’m having a lot of job interviews but after the interviews none of them seems to be willing to hire me. As the head of the family I got so frustrated for 2 years I still don’t have a replacement job and what we’re earning from our small business is just enough for everyday expenses. But aside from my deepest agonies my wife stood still as a strong believer and never loses hope. In the morning the moment she wakes up she always had the rosary with her and prayer before and after opening the shop and even before going to bed. Though I’m always praying too but my wife always telling me to pray more and pray hard. I don’t know how we are surviving everyday but it seems God is always listening to my wife’s prayer(and not to me).
We join the Marriage Encounter Prayer Community in our parish and became an active member and pioneering class. There I found the real meaning of life, my real purpose. Its not the money, the material things or a high paying job. Serving God and others gives an unexplainable feeling and pleases my soul. Then came light, God answers my prayer He give me a new good paying job. My wife gave birth to our 2nd child and after a year she also had her part time job as a college instructor. God seems to be glad that I saw my purpose in life blessing are coming in that He gave a lot of freelance job so many that I cannot accommodate all.
God works in way that we cannot see. But I can feel deep down in my soul. Currently i resigned to my job and became a house husband taking care of my 2 kids while working for a US based company on a home based setup. (Ah, comfort).
Good is Good, all the time!…
Thanx Bro. Bo for sending that inspiring story, Im into job hunting right now.
By the way Im your big fan, I love reading your books I got 5 of them but I already give them away to share it with my friends
your so good!!!!!! ang galing ng kwento. habang binabasa ko i felt that i am about to cry.. sana ganoon din kalakas ang faith ko…
your so good!!!!!! ang galing ng kwento. habang binabasa ko i felt that i am about to cry.. sana ganoon din kalakas ang faith ko…
Thank you very very much for this, Bro. Bo. This is God’s answer to my prayers.
Dear Bro. Bo,
A very inspiring story especially for me who is jobless for three months now abroad. Keep on going. God bless you.
it’s just a nice story,Bro. Bo.i started crying during “the kids&yane’s prayer”.i can relate in a sense that i & my fiance have been far apart for more than 3 years now, figuring out ways to be together, desperately; apparently, still waiting for our recent strategy to work–again; but never loses hope. it is so hard, believe me.questioning God was a natural response but should never linger instead follow up days with prayers & communication with Him.
this is very timely!!
truly God’s way of telling me to wait for the perfect job that my heart’s been desiring for, for a very long time!!!
i need to be specific!!!
God bless!!
Hi kuya Bo,
Thanks for reminding me that i should always trust GOD. also that i need to be specific and patient.. God belss!
Thanks, it is vewry inspiring especially for someone whoe experience and presently experiencing the same kind of situation, all we have to do is to trust and belieave that The Best is Yet nto Come, Trust in God.
Praise the Lord!
Thank you Yane for sharing your testimony of God’s faithfulness and love. Thank you Bro Bo for allowing yourself and your gifts to be use for our Lord’s greater glory. And thank you to the many other people who typed in their testimonies here as well!
I myself have been in this situation, although for the years weve been married, my husband and I never had a stable income even though we had good plans for our children. Now as i looked back, i realized we did not have the maturity and understanding how to raise a family, to manage finances and household, etc.
I understand now that the Lord is helping put order in our lives.
Somehow in the past year, he landed himself in jail, under detention and currently attending to his hearings to clear out his name, as we have yet to receive money to bail him. I am holding on to the promise in His Word that the Lord will work things out for the good of those who love Him.
I firmly believe that the Lord is sovereign and knows what is going on in our lives, in our hearts. Like a very close and personal friend, He knows our hurts, loneliness and pains. I have asked many times why He has allowed this to happen. A priest, who was my spiritual counselor then once said that the Lord may allow painful things to happen for a greater good - meaning he is fixing something in our lives. That i must keep TRUSTING and PRAYING and waiting on Him to speak to me what to do, and obey.
Besides the Bible says that “No trial has come to you but what is common to man. God is faithful and will not let you be tried beyond your own strength. But in the trial, He will find a way out so that we may be able to bear it. ”
With the other brothers and sisters around the world who share the same sufferings and trials, yet rejoice in the midst of trials with the Joy that only the Lord can give, i ask to please use your answered prayers just like Ms. Yane - those miracle moments, to share other people who have lost hope. The world is full of lonely people (who cover it up through the addictions as escape) .
As St Augustine said, “My soul does not rest, until it rests in God.”
Let us keep testifying about the Lord’s kindness and faithfulness and encourage other people that Jesus is real and there is indeed Good News! God bless!
God is really good..im inspired w/ it…now im not losing hope to find a great job i have ryt now..thanks for this nice story!!!
I was about to quit the other day. But I received this email from Bro Bo. Wow! God has answered my prayers fast through this story! Yes, the best is yet to come! Amen!
I also feel like crying and laughing as I know the best is yet to come for us too! Thanks be to God!
May all working wives continue to pray for our respective housman!
Dear Bo,
I can relate to the sharing you made about the family of Yane. I also experience similar problem and I did not stop praying until God heard my prayer in His own time. The nice thing about my experience was aside from my answered prayers, God give me a bonus which I did not pray for and did not expect to happen.
Thank you for your sharing Bo, indeed you are a BLESSING to me and my family. May you continue to reach out and touch other lives. God bless you and your family always.
I cry every time i read stories like this. Especially when their prayers are answered.
I newly experience what yane & her husband feels, i was retired last march 31, 2007 but i’m not yet ready for retirement because i have five kids and two of them are still studying, 2nd college and the other one is 3rd year high school, so i prayed hard everyday to have something to earn because our money is already becoming depleted since i retired and you know what bro bo last two weeks ago my previous boss texted me if i want to work again.. Last August 28, 2007 i started working again same work same position (probationary pa) i’m now 53 years old.
This so inspiring. I have my own set of anxieties too, and with this, I feel that I’m enough and strong for anything!
Thanks Bo! God bless! ;*
Peace and love of GOD be with you always Bro Bo
what an inspiring story bout what had happen to Yane’s family, she trully deserves it. inspite of all the struggles her faith, trust and love lives in her heart. and wait for the right time that god will grant what they prayed for.
Same thing for me i should also pray for specific so that GOD will answer my prayers coz i know best things will come my way at the right time,at the right place and in the most unexpected way.
I know it will happen coz i entrust everyhting in Him…
I thank God for you coz you inspired me by your preaching, keep it up……..
You never failed to inspire me Kuya Bo. Im going through a lot of adversities nowadays, and it’s almost robbing my Christian faith. I’m losing my direction, I don’t know what am I supposed to do. But deep within, I know that God never abandon those who trust in Him. I keep on waiting for God to answer my prayers, but this time, I’ll make them more specific. I wonder now, maybe the reason why I haven’t seen my most ideal yet real mentor in person is that I never asked this specifically to God. So tonight, I shall start to pray,, “Lord, can you please ask Kuya Bo to be my guide in my Christian life? I’ve been longing to see him, but I don’t know how… I trust in Your plans Lord. So I’ll wait. May you bless Him and his ministry all the more. In Jesus’ name. Amen.” More power to you Kuya Bo! Keep up the good work. You’re one of the best. More power to Kerygma. God bless you all!
thanks for sending me this sir bo,,
and thanks po sa pag email nyo sakin..
tagal ko din po hinintay ito.after po ng talk ninyo sa aming nga tele ng citibank mas naging possitive ako
sa trabaho,,i hope i will have a mentor like you…….
hope to see and talk w/ you again someday..God bless us.
dear bo,
Thank you for sharing such great story as Yane has. My eldest son and I are always praying for a miracle to happen to my second son. For a year in a half, seing a specialist for his case felt like a daily routine for us. I almost felt numb, hearing the words that comes out to all the doctors that we encounter. We always pray that his condition is to be normal as all normal children has. Ive learned that we must be specific in asking for God’s healing power and miracles to happen. I know that God hear all our prayers. We just have to be patient.
I trully thank God for bringing up such good person as you are….keep enlighting our lives…
God Bless Us All!
I cried when I finished reading the story. Because the same thing happen to me and my family. Nothing is left to us. No work…no money…no house..but we have faith in God. After so many years of suffering, God rewarded us for being faithful. Now my husband and I have a good work in Dubai earning more than enough. We were able to buy our own house, send all the children to school, and excess money to buy the things we need. God is true to His promise.
hello bro bo,,
thanks for all sharing and prayers…i know that GOD always hears all my prayers about my relationship to my Family, freinds, relatives and my Community service.
thank you very much bro your one of GOD intrument in this temporary World..
GOD BLESS.. I love you all..!!!.
thanks Bro. Bo
4 this another inspiring story. God is always in action when we need him.
Gos Bless You and ur Family Bro Bo
wow! it was such an mazing story with an amazing blessing from an amazing God we serve.
I almost missed reading this story because I saw this email of Bo in the SPAM page of my gmail. I wonder how it got there.
Anyway, this is a beautiful story about really trusting the Lord to answer our prayers. Sometimes we doubt that prayers could be answered but somehow they are. All it oftentimes needs is for God to answer them in His own time.
Indeed, God works miracles everyday of our lives ! !
Hi Bo!
that was very inspiring! i have a good friend who is experiencing almost the same thing. i will take this opportunity to email this article. hopefully we are in the same wave lengths. meaning she will see and appreciate life and take things as a challenge. to pray hard and be specific with her goals. i really enjoyed reading your works. i get inspired and moved away all my depression in life. till your next article!!!
thank you
hi Bro. Bo
i got this email from my friend 2 days ago and i didnt get to read it until today. imagine my surprise when i realized that the story is about someone whom i personally knew a few years back! i too, worked in the same company but in the finance dept and i have known Beni as someone really really nice who would bring us food during monthly closing (even if we dont belong to his dept). i have left that company long before the downsizing and i sort of lost touch with my colleagues. i am greatly touched with their story and i am glad to hear that the storm in their lives has finally blown over. Best regards to Beni and Yane. God Bless!
hi! thanks for the very inspiring story bro. Bo.
My Community Seed of Love Charismatic Community in Dumaguete, we experience a tragic loss of our base guitarist very recently.
we can’t belive it happened and keep on asking the reasons why the Lord took him in such a young age and actively serving the church.
it’s true the pain would probably take us years to overcome because we love our brother so much.
but after reading yane’s story i’ve realized that our brothers’ death sends a special message for us who are still very much alive in the community.
i’ve realized that there is more reason to celebrate and thank the Lord for His goodness. Although it would’nt be easy but with His grace nothing is impossible.
Also, we humbly asked your prayer for the soul of our Bro. Danny Jay Mendez who passed away last August 28 at the age of 26.
thank you very much Bro. Bo for your inspiring story that helps us grow more and deepen our faith in the Lord. Amen.
God Bless!
Hi Bro Bo. thanks for the wonderful story you have shared to everybody. like me I am on the process of looking for a job . Because recently I just loose my 7 years job, yeah your right that God answers all our prayers in the right place at the righ time. Right now only my husband is working with two kids around and I really pity him because I left him the burden of paying al our unfinished debts.
But stil I really didnt give up and loose hope maybe sooner or later God wil give the Job far better than my last one , it is just a matter of complete trust to the Lord Almighty.
Please pray for me to find a good job soon.
Thank you and please continue to share to everyone your enlightening message.
God Bless.
