How To Enjoy Your Wealth

For 3 weeks, I’ve been sharing a 4-part series on money.

Here’s my last installment: How to Enjoy Wealth.

Before I tell you how, here are two Bible passages about enjoying your wealth.

Ecclesiastes 5:19 says, If God gives a man wealth and property and lets him enjoy them, he should be grateful and enjoy what he has worked for. It is a gift from God.

Some are surprised by that passage.

Here’s one more…

Sirach 14:5 says, How can you be generous with others if you are stingy with yourself, if you are not willing to enjoy your own wealth?  No one is worse off than someone who is stingy with himself; it is a sin that brings its own punishment.

Yes, God wants you to enjoy your wealth.

But you’ve got to enjoy it in a particular way.

What way?

God’s way!

Remember These 3 Investments

I’ve mentioned this before, but I need to say it again. Divide your money into three investments:

Step 1: Invest 10% in your Eternity
Step 2: Invest 20% in your Maturity
Step 3: Invest 70% in your Family

In reality, everything is an investment.

Step 1: Invest 10% in your Eternity. You’re a spiritual being. You will live forever. When you tithe, you’re declaring you’re merely passing this world and that Heaven is your future home.

Step 2: Invest 20% in your Maturity. Your biggest expense isn’t your car or your home. Your biggest expense is your retirement. You don’t want to grow old and poor. You don’t even want to grow old and rich. (Believe me, thats not fun too.) You want to grow old, rich, and generous.

Step 3: Invest 70% in your Family. Don’t invest in things. Invest in people. Don’t invest in stuff. Invest in relationships. Because the best investment in the world isn’t bonds, stocks, oil, silver, or gold. The best investment in the world is love.

Let me now give you my 3 rules on enjoying wealth God’s way.

Follow These 3 Rules

Rule 1: Invest in your future before your present.

Rule 2: Enjoy the simple before the complex.

Rule 3: Enjoy people before things.

Rule 1:

Invest In Your Future Before Your Present

There are only 2 Money Strategies in the world.

Tell me which Money Strategy you use, and I’ll tell you (with 90% accuracy) whether you’ll become rich or poor in your old age.

Money Strategy Of The Poor

This method will make you poor—no matter how much money you earn.

Here it is:

Income – Expense = Tithes & Investments

Here’s what this formula means: The moment you receive your income, first subtract your expenses, and then invest and tithe from whatever is left.

Question: Is this your main Money Strategy?

If it is, be very afraid.

You’ll grow old and poor.

Let me share with you the other Money Strategy…

Money Strategy Of The Rich

It’s really all a matter of right order.

If you do it this way, you’ll be wealthy.

       Here it is:

Income – Tithes & Investments = Expense

Here’s what this winning formula means: The moment you receive your income, you first subtract your Tithes & Investments, and then spend from whatever is left.

In other words, you need to invest in your future before you invest in your present.

The Story Of Mr. President

       I know of a President of a company who—years ago—earned P200,000 a month. This was at a time when P200,000 was P200,000.

Mr. President had a nice house, three nice cars, country club shares, and travelled many times a year.

He’s now retired and lives a very different lifestyle.

No more nice cars, no more country club shares, and no more money. He now depends on his kids to put food on his table.

Reason? He is poor today because he used the Money Strategy of the Poor. He invested in his present before he invested in the future.

       He’s not alone.

We think that all NBA players are rich.

Here’s the truth: Sixty percent (60%) of NBA players, after five years of retirement, go bankrupt.  Sixty percent!

Scottie Pippen, Michael Jordan’s Chicago Bulls teammate, earned $120 Million in his basketball career. But he got bankrupt.

It’s even worse in the NFL. Eighty percent (80%) of football players, after two years of retirement, go bankrupt.

Evander Holyfield earned $250 Million in his boxing career. But he too got bankrupt.

Mike Tyson, earned $400 Million in his boxing career. (Just to let you feel the size of that money—that’s P17 Billion.) Yes, he too got bankrupt.

Why?

Because all of them used the Money Strategy of the Poor.

Today, I urge you to use the Money Strategy of the Rich:

Income – Tithes & Investments = Expense

If you do, you get these two fantastic Bonuses…

Bonus #1:

No More Budgeting

Let me shock you: I don’t budget my money.

At least, not the way people define it.

Oh, I tried. Believe me. But it was so tedious, so time-consuming, and so boring, I gave up.

But if you’re the type that likes to budget, complete with multi-colored pie charts and 3-dimensional graphs, by all means, please continue!

Here’s what hit me: Even if I wasn’t budgeting—why was I still getting richer?

I realized why: I really was budgeting. But mine was a very simple budget: 10%, 20%, and 70%. That’s it!

Because each month, I was setting aside my Tithes (10%) and Investments (20%), all I had to do was live within 70% of my income. That was my simple budget!

Bonus #2:

No More Fighting

On the first year of our marriage, I used to fight with my wife about money.

I’d ask her, “Did you really have to buy that thing?”

And wham—World War III will start.

Here’s the good news. For many years now, we’ve not fought about money anymore.

       What happened?

I began to use the Money Strategy of the Rich.

Because I already set aside our investments for the future, I realized she can now do whatever she wants to do with the rest of our money. Why argue about those small things?

Later on, I realized my wife is a great money manager. I was blinded by my need for control.

Our marriage is so much better now.

It’s absolutely liberating.

Rule 1 is Invest in the Future before you invest in the present.

Here’s Rule 2…

Rule 2:

Enjoy The Simple Before The Complex

One day, while walking in a shopping mall, I almost fainted when I saw the price tag of a lady’s handbag.

I told my wife about it. “Sweets, I just saw a handbag worth P250,000!”

She shrugged her shoulders, “Bo, that not very expensive.”

My jaw dropped. “Not very expensive?”

“Expensive handbags are between P1 Million to P3 Million each.”

What? I couldn’t believe my ears.

I thank God that my wife doesn’t buy bags like that. She follows Rule 2. She enjoys the simple before the complex.

When I went home, I googled, “Most expensive bags.”

It turns out P3 Million is cheap. Because the most expensive handbag is P168 Million. (Check photo below. Any takers? I get 3% commission.)

Here’s my point. If you’re not going to simplify your life, you’ll find a way to spend your money—no matter how much money you have.

Learn to enjoy simple things. Or else you’ll never earn enough.

Don’t get me wrong.

I’m not saying never enjoy the finer things in life.

You can… but at the right time.

Key To Wealth: Delay Gratification

Let me give you an example.

Last month, I bought a ‘42 inch wide screen TV. (P35,000 only!)  Yes, lower version and an unknown brand, but it’s working perfectly.

But here’s why I bring it up: I could have bought that 7 years ago—when I started earning really well. I could have bought that thing 6 years ago, 5 years ago, 4 years ago… But I didn’t. Instead, I invested my wealth. It was only last month that I bought my wide screen TV set.

Yet during those 8 years, I met people who had zero investments, but had a wide-screen TV in their living room, and an SUV in their garage.

Two Lines Of Wealth

There are two lines that will determine your wealth: Your Blessings line and your Spendings line (or standard of living).

Here’s the Law for getting wealthy: As your Blessings grow, your Spendings should grow in a slower way.

Do that and you’ll be rich.

This is not the case for 80% of the people. Most people grow their Spendings (or standard of living) with their Blessings.

Don’t do that!

Here’s my personal experience. Through the years, my income has grown. But I didn’t let my expenses grow with it.

After years of doing this, I now only spend 10% of my income for my daily expenses. 90% of my income goes to Tithes and Investments.

Why? Because I enjoy the simple before the complex.

Be Content

The Bible says, But godliness actually is a means of great gain when accompanied by contentment. (1 Timothy 6:6)

If you want to be wealthy, you need to be content.

Some of you might ask, “But Bo, you just taught us to earn as much as we can. Isn’t that the opposite of what you’re saying now?”

No, it’s not. Don’t be content with what you earn, but be content with what you own. Don’t be content with what you earn because you’re not only thinking of yourself. You want to earn as much as you can because you want to give as much as you can.

But be content with what you own.

Don’t allow material things to define who you are. Don’t be defined by the watch you use, the clothes you wear, and the car you drive.

Be defined by your relationship with God.

You don’t need a Rolex to feel good. You don’t need a Jaguar to feel good. You don’t need an Armani to feel good.

I feel good because I’m forgiven. I feel good because I’m anointed. I feel good because I’m commissioned. I feel good because of my God who calls me friend.

Be Careful

If you enjoy simple things, you’ll avoid shopping on impulse.

Proverbs says, Plan carefully and you will have plenty; if you act too quickly, you will never have enough. (Proverbs 21:5)

When you go out shopping or marketing, have a plan. Bring a shopping or grocery list. And stick to it. People who don’t bring a list will spend 30% more than those who do.

Say no to impulse buying.

Be Credit-Free

The Bible also says that The borrower becomes a slave of the lender (Proverbs 22:7).

I don’t know about you, but I don’t want to become a slave.

But anyone who lives in endless debt will tell you that’s their reality. That’s their life.

Here’s the horror story: 20% of credit card holders can’t pay their debts. And as much as 70% of credit card holders pay only the minimum each month.

That is utter foolishness.

Borrow only for business (and only if you know what you’re doing). But never borrow for consumables. Because being a slave is no fun.

If you don’t have the discipline, tear up your credit cards.

Here’s the third Rule…

Rule 3:

Enjoy People Before Things

In case you’re wondering, this whole message isn’t about being a miser.

I’m not a miser.  And I don’t want you to be a miser.

You don’t want to be like Hetty Green.

In 1916, Hetty Green was the wealthiest woman in the world. She was a business tycoon who invested in whaling, China trade, railways, and government bonds.

But she was a miser. She wore the same black dress and undergarments until it was worn out. She ate mostly pies that cost 15 cents. She instructed her laundry woman to wash only the dirtiest part of her dress (the hems) to save money on soap.

And when she herself suffered from bad hernia, she didn’t like surgery because it would cost her $150.

Being a miser towards yourself is bad enough. But she was a miser with her family members too.

This is how stingy she was: When her son broke his leg, she brought him to a charity clinic.

But how much was she worth? When she died in 1916, she had $200 Million. Adjusted to our time, she was worth $3.8 Billion. (P167 Billion.) Indeed, the richest woman of her time.

But she was not happy.

She was called the “Witch of Wallstreet” because she always looked angry and sad.

God doesn’t want you to be a miser.

God wants you to enjoy your wealth.

Here’s the key: Save your money, yes, but spend your money to enjoy the deeper things of life. In other words, enjoy people before things.

At the end of the day, it’s people who will make you happy.

Save on stuff. Save on things. But don’t save on love.

Invest In Love

I don’t wear a Rolex.

I don’t buy expensive clothes. (If you see me wear an expensive shirt, you can be sure it’s a gift.)

I don’t drive a Jaguar.

But I spend a lot of money on my relationships.

I repeat: Love the best investment in the world.

I spend a lot of money just to bring my family and friends together.

I go out on dates each week with my wife, my kids, my mom, my sisters and their families. Each year, I take 10 mini-vacations with my family and friends.

At the end of the day, it’s people who will make you happy.

I remember the day when my father passed away.

I was in front of his coffin—and I was so much at peace.

Why? Because before he died, I was able to spend my time, my effort, and my money with him. I visited him often. I served him often. I brought him out on dates.

In other words, I invested in our relationship.

So spend your money on what truly matters.

Friend, God wants you to enjoy wealth.

       But don’t enjoy it alone.

       Enjoy it with others.

May your dreams come true,

Bo Sanchez

  1. Be defined by your relationship with God.

You don’t need a Rolex to feel good. You don’t need a Jaguar to feel good. You don’t need an Armani to feel good.

I feel good because I’m forgiven. I feel good because I’m anointed. I feel good because I’m commissioned. I feel good because of my God who calls me friend.

and if I may add …I feel good because I am saved. the message gives me financial freedom which is a result of my acceptance of Jesus, my saviour and my God, who opened my eyes to life’s essentials.

    thank you bo

  15. Brother Bo,

    Thank you for this message….

This message encourages us to make a counter culture that we should not define ourselves nor others of the material possessions they have…

In this message I remember one quote in one of my favorite books The Little Prince- What is essential in life is invisible…Very few people realize this…just take a look on television advertisements….However, I believe that goodness in every man’s heart will prevail.. Thanks again Brother Bo my mentor…

Thanks for another powerful and inspiring message.
Reading your message is always a blessing.

    God bless!

  22. Hi Bro Bo! This is truly life changing and inspiring. It is never too late to start now..

  23. the real context on Ecclesiastes 5:19, it is about wealth and possession that a person only needs which God enables him to enjoy not in abundance. the whole chapter will reveal the real context even the title will speak for itself. this is also about God’s gift that nobody needs to work for, while Bo set up these “rules” for a man to work. God provides gifts of what you need and he enables you to enjoy it, a gift is not something you work for, and if you work for wealth you will never be satisfied because God will not make you enjoy it, you will just ask for more. Verse 18 says when he realized it is proper to eat and drink and become SATISFIED with the toilsome labor, it is only then God gave him his lot as a gift, he did not get this through his labor but as a gift. so its about contentment.

    Ecclesiastes 5:8-20 NIV

    Riches Are Meaningless

8If you see the poor oppressed in a district, and justice and rights denied, do not be surprised at such things; for one official is eyed by a higher one, and over them both are others higher still. 9The increase from the land is taken by all; the king himself profits from the fields. 10WHOEVER HAS MONEY NEVER HAS MONEY ENOUGH; WHOEVER LOVES WEALTH IS NOT SATISFIED WITH HIS INCOME. THIS TOO IS MEANINGLESS. 11As goods increase, so do those who consume them. And what benefit are they to the owner except to feast his eyes on them? 12The sleep of a laborer is sweet, whether he eats little or much, BUT THE ABUNDANCE OF THE RICH MAN PERMITS HIM NO SLEEP. 13I have seen a grievous evil under the sun: wealth hoarded to the harm of its owner, 14or wealth lost through some misfortune, so that when he has a son there is nothing left for him. 15Naked a man comes from his mother’s womb, and a he comes, so he departs. He takes nothing from his labor that he can carry in his hand. 16This too is a grievous evil: As a man comes, so he departs, and what does he gain, since he toils for the wind? 17All his days he eats in darkness, with great frustration, affliction and anger. 18Then I realized that it is good and proper for a man to eat and drink, and to find satisfaction in his toilsome labor under the sun during the few days of life God has given him—for this is his lot. 19Moreover, when God gives any man wealth and possessions, and enables him to enjoy them, to accept his lot and be happy in his work—this is a gift of God. 20He seldom reflects on the days of his life, because God keeps him occupied with gladness of heart.

Bo said 1 Timothy 6:6 DONT BE CONTENT WITH WHAT YOU EARN BUT BE CONTENT WITH WHAT YOU OWN. The last sentence is the real context of 1 Tim 6, while the first one, is.. I don’t know where he got that, “Don’t be content with what you earn” is an argument from silence, it is based on assumption and has no biblical evidence so God did not say this. The Bible says contentment with what you own so the second premise is biblical, don’t forget that your “earning” is also what you own so you should be contented with that. Here’s the whole context on 1 Timothy 6:3-10 ESV

    False Teachers and True Contentment

Teach and urge these things. 3If anyone teaches a different doctrine and does not agree with the soundb words of our Lord Jesus Christ and the teaching that accords with godliness, 4he is puffed up with conceit and understands nothing. He has an unhealthy craving for controversy and for quarrels about words, which produce envy, dissension, slander, evil suspicions, 5and constant friction among people who are depraved in mind and deprived of the truth, imagining that godliness is a means of gain. 6Now there is great gain in godliness with contentment, 7for we brought nothing into the world, andc we cannot take anything out of the world. 8But if we have food and clothing, with these we will be content. 9But those who DESIRE TO BE RICH FALL IN TO TEMPTATION, into a snare, into many senseless and harmful desires that plunge people into ruin and destruction. 10For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evils. It is through this craving that some have wandered away from the faith and pierced themselves with many pangs.

Even the “desire” to be rich itself is dangerous, because that means you are not contented with the all satisfying God who provides you with your daily needs. God is most glorified in you when you are most satisfied in Him. you glorify God when you show Him that the only thing you need is Him through faith(Rom 4:20) without doing anything else. A key reason is that when you show God that you need Him, you are the weak one He is the strong one, you’re the foolish one He’s the wise one, you’re the hungry one He’s got the bread, you’re the thirsty one He’s got the water. If you are contented in Him and everything He gave you, that makes God look glorious.

Jesus said to them, “I am the bread of life; whoever comes to me shall not hunger, and whoever believes in me shall never thirst. John 6:35

are you satisfied in Jesus alone? If you still hunger and thirst for anything else other than Him then chances are you haven’t tried Him

  24. thanks bro bo, thank you

  25. Thank you Bro. Bo for such a wonderful message! I just started your money strategy for the rich and hope with God’s grace, will be able to follow it wholeheartedly.

  26. Dear Bro. Bo,

Thank you for this very inspiring teaching. Definitely, this can be a beautiful topic in our household meeting. Can we use this for our discussion?

God bless you always and your family and your minisrty too.

  27. thank you so much for all your inspiring articles..

  28. Oh yeah! Thank you always…God bless you always, Sir Bo.

  29. Bro Bo,
this is great.. completely agree with the rich strategy!

however i have a question.. investment is good for long-term future needs, but what about the ’short-term future’ needs if we spend and live with the rest of our income (in your case, the 70%) without budgeting?

for example, if we have children, when they entering primary school, high school, or university, in the first year we may need quite a lot of money. or what if a family member gets sick? don’t we still need to save the rest of our income which is not as investment? and it looks like budgeting, isn’t it?

    please kindly advice.
    thanks a lot..

  30. Thank you so much for always sending me letters of information and sharing me all your thoughts and experiences…this is my first time to reply or comment on your page..and i am so happy reading the whole part of it…thank you so much..and may you continue to spread your good thoughts and experiences,….God Bless!

  46. this is truly amazing!!i am a feast attendee and i attended the pesonality series. in the past weeks, i’ve been hunting for jobs and i had a hard time searching for a well-compensated, medically related work, since i am a nurse by profession. after attending the series, God opened up an opportunity for me, a job that i’m looking for, medically related and well-compensated. now, i’m in the process of getting hired, i’m undergoing series of interviews and tests, i strive hard and pray harder to nail the position. i know i can land this job because the Lord is with me! one thing i’ve realized why God wants me to wait, it’s because He wanted me to learn what to do with my income the moment I earn it. He allowed enough time for me to learn how to enjoy the blessings he is giving! All glory and Praises to HIm!!

  47. Thank you! I learned a lot from this inspiring message…..not too late to start.

    God Bless!!!!

  48. I thank the Lord for allowing me to know you bro. Bo, bro. Superman. your articles are really a FOOD FOR MY SOUL, lalo na sa mga nawawalan na ng pag-asa. Thank you Bro. Bo.

  49. Bro. Bo,

I love all your blogs and articles! Your emails are my daily bread! Thank you so much for your free words of wisdom. At my young age, I am learning now how to handle money properly. Thank you once again! :-* Mwah! ^_______________^

  50. hey matthew,

stop criticizing! if you have nothing good to do, then shut up! go back and read your protestant bible again and ask the Holy Spirit to enlighten your mind. your understanding of God’s words is your own understanding. not with divine inspiration. in short your’s is a fool’s undertanding. i am sure you are broke and you’re just using your twisted interpretation of the Bible as an excuse of your brokenness. didn’t you know that it’s God’s will that you get more than enough so that you can have blessings to share to those in need? if you only have what’s enough for you, how can you share? stop this! you’re just making a fool out of yourself!
have you done what bro. bo is doing? have you changed people’s lives for good? i doubt so! you cannot even change your own life. if you don’t like bro. bo, then keep it to yourself. instead of criticizing, do something charitable and if you can’t, go throw yourself out into the sea. who knows, the salty water might cleanse your mind and give you a clear and better understanding of God’s words. if God dislikes wealth, then who is richer than Solomon? even to this day, no one has equalled Solomon’s wealth. and who, made Solomon wealthy? you don’t have to do something? just wait for the blessings to fall out from the sky? you are all physically and spiritually lazy! grossly misinterpreting the Bible just to justify your laziness! matthew, shut up!!! swallow your tongue. it will do you good.

  51. We have common plan setting in life. But mine is not that defined as you explained here in article. Thanks for making me again inspired.

  57. Hi Bo,
Very inspiring and amazing.!!! I do believe in simple things you make really happy….!

  58. @ josh: haha. Well said. you seem to have been so pissed off. :)
@Matthew: I have seen your posts in many blogs of Bo. If you don’t like what he’s preaching, why are you still reading his blogs? Can’t you see how many people are thanking him for his words of practicality and wisdom? Please, brother. I urge you to stop criticizing. This is not a place for you to prove your point. Maybe you can create your own website and try to convince the readers with your own understanding of God’s words. If you’re able to bless other people the way Bo does, then God’s grace is with you. If not, then maybe you should open your mind and spend your energy and time on more positive things. Bo is trying to help other people. Maybe you can do that, too, instead of downplaying his teachings. Let the Lord our God judge the motives and teachings of preachers like Bo. It’s not for you to decide. If you are a follower of God, then why can’t you be happy with other followers who are enlightened and blessed with this kind of teaching? We feel so blessed reading blogs like this, as though they are written with some divine inspiration. If you don’t feel that way, then just look for other reading materials that will uplift you in a way.

@Bro Bo. You always uplift us. And though some ideas are challenging, we still thank you for your effort to put down into writing the things that have inspired you. Keep it up Bo. No matter what your critics say, there will still be people like us who will always thank God for your teachings.

    All the best! ♥

  59. thank you so much Bro Bo!! this is such a wonderful and inspiring message!!

God Bless you and your family.

  62. Truly indeed the best way to enjoy things is to share it…

  63. hi bro. bo. thank you very much for this insightful piece. and very timely indeed.

  64. Thanks for the inspiring article God is really GOOD!

  65. Mr. Bo,

    thanks for sharing… a very enlightening article…

    hope to meet you soon….

  66. “Friend, God wants you to enjoy wealth.

    But don’t enjoy it alone.

    Enjoy it with others.”
I love this phrase the most and it struck a cord.. I am looking forward to becoming wealthy and sharing it with others :-)

    Thank you Bo!

  67. Thanks Bo for the very practical way of ‘budgeting’. It really inspired me. Thank you so much!

  68. God must be calling me to tithe. I have been reading articles about tithing. So, I decided to set aside money for church donation. But, when my budget became tight brought about by school expenses of my kids, I again hesitated to tithe. Then, again, I read this article of yours. God must be reminding me to make tithing my priority! What does tithing include? I have a budget to help my old parents or poor relatives. Is it not included as work of charity?

Bo, I am a single breadwinner in the family and much as I want to tithe, I am really hard-up to do so.

    Please enlighten me.

Thank you so much and God bless your work always.

    Maria

  69. Hello Josh,

and yours is a bunch of hate, ad hominens, argument from silence and assumptions as if you know a person. is that what you learned so far? does the truth hurt? did i post my own understanding or did i just posted the whole chapter? so it must be your own understanding. you can use any translation you want. The New Testament contains no promises to financially increase every believer and make them physically prosperous with an abundance of money or material worth. Solomon from Old Testament himself said “give me neither poverty nor riches, but give me only my daily bread.”(Proverbs 30:8). Solomon was rich and prosperous, so therefore we should be too. –But this is completely erroneous, because Solomon was in clear disobedience to the Law of God which commanded that the king of Israel not multiply much silver and gold for himself (Deuteronomy 17:15-20). Solomon disobeyed that to such an extent that in his palace, silver was regarded as mere chump change in comparison (2 Chronicles 9:20). Solomon also took many wives for himself, over 900 in fact, which was also in clear transgression of the command of God. His heart was turned away from the Lord and he even built pagan shrines to false gods in Israel (Nehemiah 13:26, 1 Kings 11:1-8). Solomon became a backslider and for a season he was in rebellion against the Lord, seeking happiness in things of this world rather than in God –this is exactly what the book of Ecclesiastes tells us. So why on earth would we want to set up Solomon as an example for the Church to follow? Dare we aspire after earthly things like he did and have our hearts turn from the Living God? Thank God that Solomon learned his lesson and came around in the end and forsook his pursuit of earthly pleasures and riches and learned to be obedient in the fear of God (Ecclesiastes 12:13-14). May we learn the same thing from his example and not from falling into the same error ourselves!

Anyone who claims to be in the light but hates his brother is still in the darkness. (1 John 2:9)

If anyone says, “I love God,” yet hates his brother, he is a liar. For anyone who does not love his brother, whom he has seen, cannot love God, whom he has not seen. (1 John 4:20)

“everyone who hates his brother is a murderer, and you know that no murderer has eternal life abiding in him (1 John 3:15)

by their fruit you will recognize them (Matt 7:20) is that yours?

  70. Hi Indepedence,

like Dr Walter Martin said “Controversy for the sake of controversy is sin. Controversy for the sake of the truth, is a divine command.”

Muslims and INC believes Jesus is only a man, JW and SDA believes Jesus was angel Michael etc. they all feel blessed, but feelings are unreliable. feelings are subjective centered on ourselves rather than by objective truth centered on God. should we just let them as they are? that is like saying “go to hell i dont care about you”. if you think my comments are unhelpful then it is ok im not forcing you to believe me, but there might be some who find it useful. Fight the good fight of the faith(1 Timothy 6:12)

“Watch out! Be on your guard against all kinds of greed; a man’s life does not consist in the abundance of his possessions” (Luke 12:15).

Keep your lives free from the love of money and be CONTENT with what you have, because God has said, “Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.” (Hebrews 13:5)

  71. ” One does not live by bread alone but by every word that comes forth from the mouth of God. ” Says our Lord.
May we hunger for the Word of God !
    Jesus loves us !
Have a Blessed Happy Lenten Season to all !
    Thanks Bro. Bo and family!

  72. I learned the 70-20-10 rule when I got my insurance. And it really works for me in saving money while enjoying my little “wealth”. Be a blessing always Bo!

  83. Hi Bro. Bo,

We enjoyed your talk on Blessings and Pesonality Last Jan and Feb. Its really a good way to start the year by being financially educated and positive thinkers :) Its just sad that there are still people who tries to discredit you when you teach something as important as money. I learned a lot about that and followed all your advise. But what they don’t understand is how you also make a lot of people more loving, God-centered and spiritually matured. And even though I have not personally spoken to you, I admire how you show your love for God and for other people. You’re so childlike in every little way :) More power and God bless!

  95. Bro. Bo,

I am one of your avid fan since high-school. I happen to know you because of Kerygma that circulated in our campus. You have been always my powerful battery in my life. You always energize me to struggle in this life. i am a family man now, and life is entirely different today since high-school. I am so blessed that i finally reunited with you once again after losing my touch on you a few years back. I am happy that you are inspiring millions of Filipinos who have their own struggles.I felt guilty that i was investing in the present not on the future. I allowed material things to define who i am. I forgot to remember that it is the relationship with God that i should be defined. Thank you for once again you enlighten me and for helping me begin to change for the better…You are truly an inspiration to all of us.
    TO GOD BE THE GLORY!!!

  96. Salamat Nikolai !!!

  97. bro bo,
