If you grow yourself, you grow your wealth.

       Why?

Because your growth happens in two ways.

       Imagine an ordinary plant.

The plant always grows in two ways.

The visible growth is the branches, twigs, leaves, and fruits. But beneath the visible growth is the invisible growth–the network of roots underneath the ground.

And all that visible growth is totally dependent on the invisible growth beneath the ground.

In the same way, if you want to grow your outer wealth, you need to grow your inner wealth.

So many people are so focused on their outer growth:

They want their money to grow.

They want their profits to rise.

They want their business to expand.

       They want to get promoted.

       But they miss the point.

If you want outer prosperity, you need to work on your inner prosperity.

Today, I invite you to work on yourself.

Specifically, I invite you to work on your anointing.

And spontaneously, the money will follow.

       Let me tell you how…

Get Ready For Explosive Growth

I can’t help but think of Light of Jesus, my spiritual family.

Last year, we only had one Feast in Metro Manila.

But this year, we have 10 Feasts. In 12 months, we grew tenfold! I’ve never seen anything like that before.

Not only that, but each of those 10 Feasts are growing.

       People ask me, “What’s happening?”

In my mind, it’s very obvious.

What you see now is visible growth.

But for 30 years, God was growing our roots.

Today, we’re experiencing explosive growth. And let me give you a fearless prophecy: There’ll be a thousand Feasts all over the world. Just give it a few more years.

Friend, you may be in a same situation.

You may be wondering why all these years, nothing is happening to your life. To your career. To your business.

But all this time, you’ve been faithful, doing what’s right, developing yourself. Yet you’re not seeing the results.

“Bo, I’ve been praying hard. But I don’t see any growth!”

       Don’t be discouraged.

In the spiritual realm, God is working on your roots. Growth is happening on the inside. Once the preparation is done, you too will see explosive growth in your life.

Know Your Anointing

If you want to grow your wealth, you need to grow your anointing.

Friend, God has given you a special anointing.

Your anointing should be obvious.

Your anointing is where you excel.

Your anointing is where you win.

Embrace Your Anointing

In the Bible, kings and prophets were anointed.

Samuel was anointed.

Saul was anointed.

David was anointed.

Isaiah was anointed.

When a person is anointed, oil is poured on his head, oil being a symbol of the Spirit. When a person is anointed, he is empowered for a special talk.

Friend, you’re anointed.

God has anointed you.

You were born for greatness.

There’s a great person within you.

There’s a successful person waiting to manifest within you.

You may not feel it, but He has anointed you.

That means you’ve been empowered for a special task.

This is how God wants you to bless the world.

You know that. But you may not know this big fact: This is also how God will prosper you

Some are anointed to do accounting.

Some are anointed to do fashion.

Some are anointed to manage companies.

Some are anointed to plant farms.

Some are anointed to care for the sick.

Some are anointed to sing, or dance, or paint.

       I repeat: You’re anointed.

This is how you’ll bless the world.

And this is how God will prosper you too.

God Will Prosper You Through Your Anointing

My sister Beckie is a gifted administrator. Since Light of Jesus began 30 years ago, she was always been organizing our events.

Because of her knack for details, friends also ask her to be the Events Coordinator for their weddings.

Because she has this knack for detail, she writes everything down. Given a chance, she’ll write down how many times the bride and groom should breathe. “Bride, stand in back of the church. Inhale 6 times. Once you hear the sixth note of bridal march, take 38 steps to the front…”

And when she’s in charge, the wedding goes smoothly. When the couple releases the dove, even the dove flies exactly towards the direction Beckie tells him to.

Not once did she charge for her “wedding” services.

Even if many times, Beckie and I would talk about her finances. And discover that she was poor. As a single woman (yes, always the bride coordinator, never the bride), I prayed that God bless her financially.

But remember what I said last week? That God’s universe will find a way to reward you?

That’s what happened to Beckie.

Today, Beckie and her friend Vita run corporate seminars. They’ve been doing it for over 10 years now and God is prospering them. God has used her event organizing skills to prosper her.

Friend, what is your anointing?

Be the best. One day, you’ll receive your rewards.

You may be like my sister.

You’re just using your anointing to serve others, but it seems prosperity isn’t happening.

Keep developing yourself. Keep growing your anointing. Keep your eyes open for God’s surprises. An opportunity will open up. And you’ll see prosperity flow into your life like a river.

Stay With Your Anointing

If you’re starting out in business, never go out of your anointing.

“Malou” opened a clothing store in a mall–and it was losing money. After a year of terrible sales, she was closing it down.

I asked Malou, “Why did you open that store? Did you have any experience with a clothing store before?”

“None,” she sighed, “My friends just encouraged me to go into it.”

So I asked, “What was your job before?”

She said, “I worked in the purchasing department of her company.”

“Sourcing products? Talking to suppliers?”

“Yes,” she said.

“Were you any good?”

“Yes. I was there for 16 years.”

“Malou, let me give you my suggestion. Take it or leave it. I think this is your anointing. If you called up these suppliers, would they still know you?”

“Yes! We’re magkumare and kumpare.” (Godmothers and godfathers.)”

“Call up these suppliers. Invite them for lunch. Offer yourself as their freelance sales person. And then sell their products to your old company. And sell to other similar companies.”

As I spoke, she took down notes. Every time she looked up, I saw Malou’s eyes growing larger than saucers. Finally, she exclaimed, “Bo, I can do this!”

“Of course you can. This is your anointing!”

Malou’s problem was that she got distracted from her anointing. It’s a major reason why people aren’t successful.

Do you know what she was doing?

Remember my plant analogy? Her roots were on one pot. But she was trying to grow the plant on another pot.

That’s insane.

Grow where your roots are.

I’m not saying you can’t try something new. Later on, I believe you should. But grow your anointing first.

How To Grow Your Anointing

I’ve discovered how to grow my anointing.

I follow a simple rule: Outside my circle of anointing, I’m cautious. (I’m a big chicken.)   But inside my circle of anointing, I’m fearless.

Within my anointing, I’m lion-hearted. I’m bold. I take risks. I launch new projects and correct along the way. I do things I’ve never done before.

Why?

Let me tell you the geographical location of growth: Growth is located just outside your comfort zone.

If you remain in your comfort zone, you won’t grow.

As long as you stay in your anointing, be daring. Stretch. Go beyond your limits. Surprise yourself.

My Growth As A Speaker

When I started preaching, I only spoke to religious groups.

That was my comfort zone.

It was easy speaking to prayer groups. Before my talk, they sing happy songs and dance. Like, Ang buhay ng Kristiyano ay masayang tunay, and Lululalulalulalulalei.

But one day, I received an invitation to speak to a company.

       I was absolutely scared.

I wanted to say “No”. I asked myself, “Why would these people listen to a kid? I’ve never worked in secular office before.” At that time, I didn’t even have a college degree yet.

But God was moving me to another level. God wanted me to expand my territories.

I remember walking into the room with cold palms and trembling knees. My heart was beating so fast, I thought I would collapse on stage. When they put a lapel microphone on my shirt, I could actually hear my heart pounding like bongo drums from the audio speakers!

That day, I went out of my comfort zone.

That was 20 years ago. Today, I give corporate talks with excitement and joy.

The other time I went out of my comfort zone?

When I was invited to give a recollection to priests.

Once again, I was scared stiff.

I didn’t sleep very well that night. I had acid churning in my stomach.

I was so nervous, I wanted to make my talk 4 sentences long. I wanted to say, “Fathers, good morning. You know everything I’m going to say to you today, right? So let’s just pray for one another. Bye-bye.”

But that day, I went out of my comfort zone. I crossed the line. I overcame another hurdle. And my anointing went up another level higher.

Today, I preach to priests effortlessly.

Remember: Everything that you want is just outside your comfort zone.

Friend, do you have self-imposed limits in your career or business? Hurdles that you told yourself you can’t possibly cross?

Don’t put a limit to what God can do through you.

God wants to move you higher.

God wants to expand your territory.

God wants to grow your influence.

       God wants to prosper you.

Say to yourself, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”

My Growth As A Writer

Last week, I set aside five days–Monday to Friday–to write an entire book from scratch.

I know. It’s crazy. Because some people take a year to write a book. I usually take about one to three months to write a book.

But last week, I wanted to go out of my comfort zone and go to my courage zone.

So I told myself, “I’ll write my book in five days.”

But when Monday morning came, I realized I had to write something else. I had to write the Manuals for our next teaching series here at the Feast. So I wrote all the Manuals, the Bible Studies, and Bulletins–and it took me Monday and Tuesday to do them.

By Wednesday morning, I was at a loss.

How could I write an entire book in three days?

I knew I faced an impossible situation.

But that was when Rissa Singson-Kawpeng, our editor, emailed me. She asked, “Bo, when will you send me your book? We need to launch that book on Easter.”

That was when I remembered, Growth is located just outside my comfort zone. It was time to cross the line again.

I emailed Rissa back, “I’ll give it to you Saturday morning.”

She emailed back and said, “That’s great.”

She didn’t know that at that time, I’ve not yet typed a single word of my book.

So Wednesday morning, I started writing.

By Friday evening, the book was done.

I wrote the entire book in three days.

Frankly, I didn’t know how I did it.

During those three days, I still was able to play with my boys. I still met with my health mentor for the whole morning of Friday. And I still slept a full 6 hours every night.

And it’s not just the speed.

I’m sure I’m biased, but I feel I’m writing far better books now than 10 years ago.

       Simply because I’ve grown.

Grow Your Wealth

Do you want to grow your wealth?

Grow yourself. Grow your anointing. And within that anointing, grow out of your comfort zone.

Perhaps for years, you feel like you’re stuck in life. You feel like you’re stagnant in your finances. You feel like you’ve not been moving forward but moving backward.

If so, I speak a word to you: Don’t be discouraged. Don’t think this will be your permanent situation.

Because God has anointed you.

You were born for greatness.

There’s a great person in you.

There’s a successful person in you.

There’s a millionaire within you.

God wants to prosper you.

God has a great future ahead of you.

He’s just waiting for you to cross the limits you’ve imposed on yourself. Remember, everything that you want is just outside your comfort zone.

And when you go out of your comfort zone, God will meet you there.

       May your dreams come true,

       Bo Sanchez
