Do You Expect To Be Blessed?

Tell me if I’m right.

90% of the things you were so worried about ten years ago, you laugh about them today. Am I correct?

What were your worries just ten years ago?

·        You were worried about school projects and exams.

·        You were worried whether your classmates would laugh at your hairstyle. Today, you laugh at everyone’s hairstyle.

·        You were worried that your boyfriend was seeing someone else. Now, you thank God he was seeing someone else. Good riddance!

·        You were worried if your boss liked your reports. You later learned he didn’t even read your reports.

·        You were worried whether your son would finish school because his report card had more red numbers than black numbers. But today, he’s a successful businessman.

What does this mean?

90% of the things you’re worried today, you’ll laugh about them tomorrow.

Let me tell you a crazy story…

Is Fear Killing You?

One morning, a man saw the “Angel of Death” walking into his town.

He was brave enough to ask, “May I ask why you are here?”

The Angel of Death said, “I’m going to kill ten thousand people today.”

The man stepped back in horror and ran all around town. He warned people, “I just saw the Angel of Death. He said ten thousand people will die today.”

But when nighttime came, seventy thousand people died.

The next day, the man saw the Angel of Death walking out of town. He called after him and said, “Wait! Wait! You said you were only going to kill ten thousand people. But there were seventy thousand who died last night!”

The Angel of Death shook his head, “I killed only ten thousand. Worry and fear killed the others.”

Faith And Fear Are The Same Inside

            Let me shock you.

Faith and fear seem so different from each other.

But if you take a knife and peel the cover around faith and fear, you realize they’re the same inside: They’re both beliefs

Faith believes that good things will happen.

And fear believes that bad things will happen.

The problem is that because they’re beliefs, they’re powerful. Because beliefs create our reality. The Bible says that what you believe will happen.

So when we fear, we create the very thing we’re afraid of.

And I’ve met lots of people whose minds are filled with fearful thoughts, they don’t know that they’re creating the reality they dread…

·        “The economy is so bad, I’ll lose my job soon…”

·        “My husband will never change.”

·        “My marriage will never improve.”

·        “My parents died of cancer; I’m sure I’ll have cancer too… Oh my gosh, where did this mole come from?”

·         “Will my kids turn out okay?”

·         “My boss hates me” or “My friend hates me” or “My cat hates me”

·         “I’ll never get married,” or “I’ll end up marrying a serial killer.”

Because they’re beliefs, faith and fear are also expectations

Fear expects problems.

Faith expects blessings.

And the universe adjusts to your expectations!

Ask yourself: What do you expect to happen today?

When Good Things Happen,

What Thoughts Enter Your Mind?

Once upon a time, I was a person of fear.

When good things happened to me, I’d get scared. I’d think, “Oh no, too many good things are happening to me! This won’t last. I’m sure bad things will now come like a tidal wave…”

Subconsciously, I believe in the balance of the good and the bad. (Yep, I watched Gulong ng Palad starring Marianne de la Riva and Ronald Corveau. Ancient history for some of you.)

Today, I realize that you can’t balance the good and the bad because the good are always a zillion times more than the bad. Because God’s blessings are limitless.

Today, I’ve become a person of faith.

When good things happen to me, I say, “I’m going from glory to glory, going to higher levels of victory and abundance and love.” Today, I expect that life will get better, become happier, and become more abundant.

Albert Einstein said, “There are two ways of living life. One is to live as though nothing is a miracle. The other is to live as though everything is a miracle.”

Each day, I’m choosing to live as though everything is a miracle.

Expect Good Things

Starting today, expect great things to happen to you.

          Say this every morning:

·        “My God shall supply my needs.”

·        “My God shall prosper the work of my hands.”

·        “My body shall be healed.”

·        “My children will be blessed.”

·        “My marriage will grow better and better everyday.”

·        “I’ll soon meet the man (or woman) of my dreams.”

Friend, do you want to fulfill your dreams?

Let me share with you my three steps of faith:

·        Step One: See the Dream

·        Step Two: Sow the Dream

·        Step Three: Surrender the Dream

Here they are, one by one…

Step One:

See The Dream

Do you really know what you want in life?

You’ve got to know your dream so well that you see it in your mind. In fact, you just don’t see it, you feel it in your heart. Because faith and fear are not just beliefs or expectations—they’re also feelings. When you see your dream in vivid detail, you’ll feel the faith rise within you.

That’s why fearful people cannot dream.

Here’s what you do: Imagine all your dreams are already fulfilled. The more you see it and feel it, the easier it is for your dreams to come true.

Dream in vivid Technicolor—complete with sounds, smells, tastes, and feel.

The reason why many people don’t receive God’s blessings is because they have a limited capacity to receive those blessings. The problem isn’t in the Supply. (It’s infinite.) The problem is in the Receiving of that Supply.

So how do you increase your capacity to receive?

By increasing your vision. When you increase the size of your vision, you increase the size of your blessings.

          See your dream. Feel it.

Once you do that, you’re ready for the next step…

Step Two:

Sow The Dream

Actually, you don’t sow the dream.

You sow the seed of the dream. And that small seed will grow to become your big dream.

          What’s the seed? Your actions.

          Nothing happens unless you act.

When you plant one hundred seeds, not all of those one hundred seeds will grow. Perhaps ninety-nine will die. But that’s okay. It’s the one seed that grows that will make your dream come true.

          So make mistakes!

Act. And act. And keep on acting.

Wake up early. And run towards your dream!

Even if you feel that you have very little resources…

Act On What You Have

When David fought Goliath, he didn’t ask for a M9 bazooka, a machine gun, or a bullet-proof vest. He worked with what he had—a leather sling and five smooth stones. God transformed it into a deadly weapon in his hand.

When Moses delivered the Israelites from Egypt, he didn’t ask for a phalanx of warriors, a naval battleship, or a couple of nuclear missiles to defeat Egypt. He used what he had—an old wooden stick. But through that old wooden stick, God made a snake, turned a river into blood, divided the red sea—and drowned the chariots of Pharaoh.

So use what you have!

I hear this a lot from people who excuse their mediocre lives:

·        “But I don’t have a college diploma”

·        “I can’t speak English well,”

·        “I don’t have the right connections.”

·        “I’m not good in math.”

·        “I don’t know how to sell.”

·        “I don’t have time.”

·        “I’m not as good-looking as Bo Sanchez.” (Have your eyes checked.)

Don’t look for what you don’t have.

Here’s the truth: You have everything you need to reach your dreams.

Everything.

Did you read that?

E-V-E-R-Y-T-H-I-N-G!

You have the Holy Spirit. You have friends around you. You have other talents within you. Etcetera.

And here’s the last crucial step you need to take…

Step Three:

Surrender Your Dream

Some of you may even be shocked by my third step.

I’ve asked you to dream, right? To pursue it with so much passion that you see it and feel it in your heart?

But in Step Three, I’ll ask you to do what seems the very opposite: To surrender your dreams to God. In Step Three, you say the most perfect prayer of all. “Lord, not my will but yours be done.”

To trust.

To let go.

To actually tell God that you’re happy now—even without this dream.

Here’s one thing I found out about dreams. If I’m desperate, needy, and frantic—I find it so difficult to make that dream come true.

But if I surrender to God my dream, and relax, and treat my pursuit of the dream as play—I find myself attracting every blessing I ever need in an almost effortless way.

This is my experience with money too.

When I’m desperate for money, very little comes my way. Everything I earn is a struggle, like I’m pulling teeth from the universe.

But when I’m relaxed about money—trusting that I’m swimming in an ocean of money—the money will come rolling at my feet, begging that I take it.

When I do this, I don’t struggle. The right people come to me. The right connections come to me. The right book comes to me. The right opportunities come. Almost effortlessly…

Let Go

Recently, I told my wife, “God is teaching me to relax more.”

She was curious. “Are we going to take more vacations? ”

“Absolutely,” I chuckled. “But it means more than that.  I’m learning to dream and at the same time let go of my dreams.”

“What do you mean?” she asked.

“I’m not saying I won’t work with passion anymore,” I said. “I love my work so much. I’ll still get up early in the morning and pour myself into my ministries and businesses. But I’m letting go of all fear and all anxiety. Why worry? When I’m swimming in God’s abundance.”

“That’s wonderful,” she said. “Can we go to Sagada?”

“Shhh. I haven’t finished my explanation yet. To surrender means I trust that everything that happens is for my good. And to trust that everything that doesn’t happen is also for my good.”

“That’s great. So, is Sagada a good thing?” my wife winked.

(As you read this blog, we’re now on our way to Sagada! Me and my big mouth…)

          I remember this crazy story…

What’s Your Lulu?

One day, in a mental hospital, two doctors were taking their rounds.

As they visited patients, they saw a man crouched in bed, crying, “Lulu, Lulu…”

“Who is this man?” asked the new doctor.

“Lulu was his girlfriend. This man wanted to marry Lulu, but Lulu married someone else…”

“Oh poor guy,” the young doctor said, “He couldn’t take the disappointment and lost his mind.”

The two doctors walked on. In another room, they saw another patient, crouched in bed, also crying “Lulu, Lulu…”

The new doctor was surprised and asked, “And who is this man? Why is he also crying ‘Lulu’?”

“This was the man Lulu married instead.”

Let me ask you a question: What’s your Lulu?

Your Lulu is a prayer that’s not yet been answered.

I have a simple message: If you don’t get Lulu, don’t lose your mind.

            Surrender your Lulu.

At the end of the day, God will give you the best version of your dream!

Expect Blessings

Last week, I surprised my wife by telling her, “Pack your bags. We’re staying in a 5-star hotel for 2 days!”

She asked me, “Isn’t that expensive?”

“I’ll ask for a discount,” I told her.

“And did you call up to reserve?”

“I didn’t,” I said, “we’ll just walk to the front desk and expect to be blessed.”

She asked, “And if you don’t get a discount? Or if it’s fully booked?”

“I placed my wish before God’s generosity,” I told her. In other words, I surrendered. “If there’s no discount or no room available, we’ll just move to another hotel. It’ll be an adventure!”

So we packed our bags and off we went.

When I walked to the front desk of my favorite hotel, I asked, “What’s your cheapest room?”

The guy showed me the rate card. I gulped.

It was P8000 per night.

I asked, “Will you give me a discount?”

“I could give you ten percent…” he said.

I sighed. P7200 was still a lot of money.

At that precise moment, a tall man, wearing a nice coat and tie, walked out of the door behind the front desk. Immediately, I recognized him. He was a friend. After greeting each other, he gave me his business card. On the card it said, “Front Desk Manager”. He was the guy in charge!

On the spot, from P8000, he brought down my room rate to P3000.

Not only that, he upgraded my room two notches higher. So my wife and I stayed in a room worth P12,000++ for only P3000 a night.

            That was not all.

My upgraded life had just begun…

God Wants To Upgrade You

From the hotel, I went straight to the airport to fly to Hong Kong. (A very important person in Hong Kong wanted to meet with me to discuss a possible donation. This too is an incredible display of attracting blessings, because I didn’t call him. He called me! But that’s another story…)

In the Manila airport, I walk to the check-in counter. Without my asking, the lady behind the counter said, “Mr. Sanchez, I’m upgrading you to Business Class.” Wow. “If you insist,” I told her.

Two hours later, I land in Hong Kong and go straight to my hotel. And just in case you think I get all these crazy breaks because I’m famous, the Chinese lady in the front desk—who didn’t know me from Adam—says, “Mr. Sanchez, we’re upgrading you to a bigger room.”

I couldn’t believe my ears. This was too much!

The next day, after my meetings in Hong Kong (which went very well) I go back to the Hong Kong airport. When I checked in, I was half-expecting that I would be upgraded again. But nothing happened.

I told myself, “I’m going to enjoy this plane ride.” I was applying the Third Step: Trust. Surrender. Don’t be desperate. Let go.

So I walk inside the plane and sit down on my economy seat. I pull out a book and began reading. That was when a steward comes up to me and says, “Brother Bo, let me bring you up to Business Class.”

As I sat in Business Class, sipping my orange juice, I relax.

Relax!

Live with expectation.

Expect God to bless you!

When you trust more, you’ll relax more. And you’ll realize that what was a struggle before will now become easy. Doors will open. People will call you. Opportunities will come near you.

Dear friend, I speak blessings to your life. To your finances. To your family life. And to your health. Receive God’s avalanche of blessings!

Hey, I’m not saying that you’ll have no more problems.

You will.

But you’ll see your problems in a new light…

How About When Bad Things Happen?

Let me tell you my last story.

One day, a king placed a boulder on the middle of the road. He then hid a pouch behind the bounder, and waited in the bushes to see what will people do.

Many noble men, knights, priests, and soldiers saw the boulder and complained why it was blocking the path. That was all they did—complained, complained, and complained some more.

But later in the afternoon, a farmer walked on the road, saw the boulder, put down his stuff—and pushed it out of the way. When he did that, he saw the king’s purse underneath. He opened it and found it filled with the purest gold, including a note from the king. It said, “This is your reward. Because behind every boulder on the road of life is pure gold.”

Friend, behind every problem in your life is a rich blessing.

Behind every trial in your life is a treasure waiting to be discovered.

Whenever bad things happen to me, I say, “This isn’t a problem. This is an opportunity for me to grow by leaps and bounds. This will be one a my biggest blessings in life.”

Go ahead.

See your dream.

Sow your dream.

And surrender your dream.

Relax!

Expect to be blessed.

May your dreams come true,

Bo Sanchez

  9. Hello po..

Just finished reading and I was just relieved to have read this article. At a very young age, I thought everything that I do needs some struggle in it. I never found the time to actually surrender my needs. When I did eventually surrender, I found it extremely rewarding.

God Bless po, continue inspiring people….=)

Bo, may God bring more people like u in this world! God is with you!

  12. Hi Bo,

Sometimes I do feel my dreams are impossible. Yet I still work hard everyday just in case something magical will really happen. One night I dreamt about a friend getting an award. I told her my dream and congratulated her because I believe she deserves it if it comes true. She said she can’t believe me..it’s only a dream and it’s not as if she really believed she could do it. In my case, I believe in my friend but thought dreams don’t really come true. That dream was so vivid…six months after, my friend did get the award! The other surprising thing is, I also did!

This afternoon, I had another dream..this is related to our current financial situation..I do hope it becomes true again. In that dream, a big person is asking me if I would like to stay where I am now..I would really love to as I know I will be in a position to help my family better..I hope that is a sign that someone is contemplating of keeping me for a job!!

Anyway, my working motto has always been, prepare for the worst (i.e. give everything, the best that I can) but expect the best..it stresses me out sometimes but it makes me go through very difficult times better (than me being overly optimistic without really doing much).

  13. Hi Tito Bo,

It’s really, very, funny… I guess I do expect to be blessed every time I read your articles… I was just worrying about something personal (and heck yes it was starting to paralyze me)…And I thought that before I sleep, I would read your blog sent to my email, and lo and behold…I always do expect to be blessed by your articles. I’m up and about again… I leave that ‘thing’ that is getting me worried to God, and now I’m more relaxed…Cause I’m expecting the best, He always gives the best! =D.

Let his will be done =)

Super Blessed Life here I come!

    Amen!

    Gabby

  14. Hi Bo,

Your article has lifted a considerable load of worries off my back. Your blog was forwarded to me by a friend. I am sure it was a way for God to let me know that I should stop worrying because He’s with me. It was also a reminder that once again His will be done, not mine. Thank you and God bless you always.

  15. Bro. Bo,

ang bilis sumagot ni LORD ! pag bukas ko ng outlook, unang email ko ito na galing sa iyo !
    Salamat !

  16. thank you :)

  17. Hi! Very inspiring blog.
Not to sound bitter, but why is your last story (How About When Bad Things Happen?) not related to your true life, & instead a fiction?
I was so impressed with all the blessings that happened to you and was expecting that you would have given an example of when you’ve experienced something really bad, so us, common people, might be able to connect realistically. Maybe some, do get things the easy way.

Aside that, you brought up a great message. I’ve been full of worries whether I am capable of achieving my dreams. You have reminded me to surrender to God.

    Much love =)

  18. Hi Bro Bo,

I attended your mission before when I was in Cebu City way back 3 years ago…even just few lines from you it lifted up my spirit and left me very inspired. And I said to myelf I will never forget you. I really appreciate your priceless words that taught zillions of people not just locally but Internationally.

I learned a lot of things from you, I am very stressed person especially I am working here abroad and very far from my loved ones but despite of that I am fully blessed with God’s blessings. Now I left all my worries and surrender it to Him, Relax… and waiting for God’s best plans for me and my family. Thank you very much indeed because you made me inspired with God’s Words, to have a positive mind set to face my life filled with challenges.

More power, blessing to your family and good health.

    Cheers,
    Christine (England, UK)

  19. I believe this is God’s way of somehow answering my heart’s question…partially. If you can just take it one step further…how do i reconcile God’s blessing in the form of an accident that took my father’s life? (He fell, hit his head and was in a coma–we later pulled the plug when he was brain dead.) He was a man of God who went to the blessed sacrament hourly each week at 1am. He was a kind and loving father and an even more wonderful husband. Does that make his death more meaningful? If he were a drug lord, a pedophile, would that have made his death a punishment? Do the blessings come because we prayed or we were good? Or are the blessings God’s grace freely given because we are loved despite our sins?
I know it’s a lot of questions with answers probably begging more questions. But I have to start somewhere…
    Thank you.

  20. Dear Bro. Bo,

Your advice really hit me today –I just don’t know how to relax — but from hereon, I’ll try. You see, I’m sick with an imbalance that makes me unable to do the regular things in life, and relaxing is difficult, but based on your article, I have to. Anyway, thanks for everything — I have to learn to relax waiting for the Lord, and though I do not understand his reasons, I have to trust in him, and my health will improve.

    Jim

  21. Hi Bro. Bo! Your talk last Sunday was really amazing. I, myself, got so many blessings-big and small blessings that brought joy, peace and happiness in my life. I got burned when I was 11 years old. Back then I could not understand why God allowed it to happen. Of course, I was a young child then. But it was a process - a long process-but I was able to accept it. With that tragic and painful experience, I welcomed GOD into my life. A lot of answered ‘Lulus’. We just need to allow God to enter into our life and our willingness to accept HIM as our personal Savior and Redeemer. To God be all the Glory!!!

  22. hi.. as bro. bo said, this is ur LULU - surrender it to God. ur father is at peace now. what examples he had shown! let them be ur very own now- life goes on! have a made-up mind and heart, today is d best tym to start…GODBLESS

  23. Thanks Bro Bo for the great article you have I Hope that more people will read this so that they will also be nourished … :)

I agree with you that the more we struggle to achieve the dreams the more it will be difficult and stressful but when we trust it to GOD.. EVERYTHING comes Smoothly and Abundantly….:) I am a living witness of it!

Sabi nga ng mga kasamahan ko sa church close kayo talaga ni LORD….sabi ko “bakit kayo hindi?”

For me kasi, d naman importante kung ilang hours ka nag novena at nagrosary…infact sometimes I forgot to pray.. I just pray when I’m on a jeepney… when I’m in a comfort room.. hehehehhehe Its our FAITH that matters most…

    To Maria….

Death is not a disgrace but its our way to HEAVEN… We soon will die but we don’t know when or how no matter we are good or bad… :)

God’s love cant be measured.. We are all sinners, no matter how big or small our sins are BUT God still loves us equally… :) Its how we EXPECT God will bless us.. :)

  24. Thanks Bro Bo for the great article you have I hope that more people will read this so that they will also be nourished … :)

God’s love cant be measured.. We are all sinners, no matter how big or small our sins are BUT God still loves us equally… :) Its how we EXPECT God will bless us.. :)

I’m having headaches already and I’m pretty much stressed. This blog really helps me to relax a little. You see, I’m in a point where I’m not sure where I am heading. Now, I’m just putting all my trust in God. He’s my inspiration to keep going. I just hope my efforts are enough to fulfill God’s will in my life.

Brother Bro, you are God’s gift to us. Keep it up! God Bless!

  35. Hi Bro. Bo,

another very inspiring article… it reminds me that I am truly Blessed by God….. it opens my mind and help me face whatever is coming into my way…. gives me positive outlooks in life…..

Behind every trial in your life is a treasure waiting to be discovered.

Whenever bad things happen to me, I say, “This isn’t a problem. This is an opportunity for me to grow by leaps and bounds. This will be one a my biggest blessings in life.”

the above statements is really really true, have a lot of experiences on that… as long as you pray GOD will lead the way…. surrender everything to His will.

    God Bless and more power.

p.s. hope can we bump into each other again at the airport…… and have a nice chat though you don’t know me….

  36. WOW, this message is a wonderful blessing to me. Thank you very much bro. bo.

  37. bro. bo,

    very touching article. thank you.

i’m going through a lot this past few months. i’ve been a good follower of God since high school though i admit that i also have flaws in my life and just few months have committed wrong choices that somehow changed my life. my faith in God is constantly tested since the day that i welcomed Him in my life and i am proud to say that i passed all of those tests and became really victorious in all the trials because i cling to Him. this few months my faith has been tested again and this time i failed. i have just entrusted something very important with my bf for wrong reason. i really felt so guilty and somehow realized that i dishonored God and disrespected my parents. i told my bf what i felt and though we both love each other we decided to have a cool off, repent and to seek for inner healing. we are both ok with the set up and still have our constant communication. and then just lately i just found out that i’m having health problems because of maybe the sin that i and my bf have made. i am so confused and really worried. i am constantly praying that this is not a serious illness and that God will heal me. i am now under medication. I know God is not punishing me for what we did, He just wants me/us to realize something and to have stronger faith. I do not want to worry anymore, I am surrendering everything with Him. I’m letting go and I believe that i will get through this and everything will be ok.

    please pray for me.

Months ago and just recently, i was in the abyss of devastation and confusion; but prior to that i have already started reading your blogs and watching kerygma. they are so inspiring and enlightening. You’re God’s instrument to us, the people who would always almost give up and always confused. Your stories always provide so much delight to our spirits. Keep it up and God will always bless you.

  42. Hi Bro. Bo,

I am very blessed by your life’s lessons. Truly God has used you to bless other people.

Having God as our priority regardless of fear is definitely the way to go. There’s no other way but through Jesus.

Time and time again I have experienced God’s blessings, but at times I forget these things because of what the world sometimes bring - confusion. Through your blog I am reminded of the importance of the 3S (See, Sow, and Surrender my dream). I just need to be reminded that I have a bigger God that is bigger than my trials or problems. And for this, I believe I will be blessed every single day.

May you be blessed more Bro. Bo.

God Bless and Live the Life!

    Erness

  43. it is such an awesome article. just put differently, but it is also about Law of Attraction in which mind or thought plays a very significant role in such a way that whatever we think will happen. So if we think positive thoughts we attract positive vibrations/energy and wonderful things happen and on the contrary if we think negative thoughts we attract negative vibrations so that is why awful things happens. I used to read a lot of self-help books, and i also believe that words is very powerful so we must be careful what we say…. But this article is very funny. It made me realize those concepts again in a cool way.

  44. Hi Bo,

I’m sorry but it seems i can’t find the verse… where in the bible does it say that “The Bible says that what you believe will happen”?

    thanks! :)

  45. so inspiring…….thanks bo :)
    i definitely will share this

    see, sow and surrender
    see, sow and surrender

  58. Hi Bro. Bo,

I am the person that you,re talking about.

The one who thinks that if I am super-dooper happy right now, then soon- something sad will happen.

Yes! I am one of those people who believe in this mushy gunk( I borrowed that adjective from you).

Because deep inside of me, I believe that things needs to be balanced.

That things needs to be in moderation.

And my understanding of doing it is through- balancing good & bad- LITERALLY!!!

I never realized that God’s blessing is infinite.
Yes infinite and is beyond our understanding!!

This blog brings a lot of enlightenment.
Thanks for not giving up Bro. Bo-
on spreading inspiration- instead of desperation.

    ThanksThanks.
    God Bless.

  59. I read your blog n found some answers of my questions.

Really blessed by your posts inside your blog.
God bless you forever and ever! Amen.

  60. Dear Bro. Bo,

I was blessed when I read this blog of yours.

I am rape victim and when I knew that I am pregnant with my daughter then I planned to end up my life. When I tried to slash my wrist and it’s started to bleed, I cried and because I knew that what I did was mortal sin. I knelt and prayed to Our God that I am surrendering all my problems to Him. I told Him that I will never try to commit suicide again just help me with everything for me to support and accept my child.

God really kept His promise to me since then everything went smoothly. My parents accepted me without asking what was really happened. Help starting to pour in from my relatives, employer and friends. God helped me to face the problems of being an unwed mom.

My daughter now is 18 yrs old and friends helped me to work here in Dubai for me to send her in a good medical school.

Before I have a big hatred with my daughter’s father, but now if ever we cross our path again, I will let him know about my daughter and I forgive him for what he did to me. God gave me enough strength to face whatever trials comes into my way now

Thank you so much because every time I read your blogs it always enlightened me and accepted more of my life and every grace that I have. I am always looking forward for every email you sent.

    God bless you.

    Cathy

  69. J,

It can be found in Matthew 21:21, Mark 11:23, and Matthew 9:29. Please check out also Mt 15:28. There are many verses about faith in the Bible.

  70. Hi Bo,

I always wait in my inbox your new article with enthusiasm. The topic today are very well said and 101% true.

Let me share with you my personal experience about my faith. I am currently working as an Infrastructure Engineer in one of the largest property developer here in Dubai. You must be aware that construction and business property are the most affected in this world economic crisis. Our company has made redundant more than 85% of its 3,000 plus employee. Every body are just waiting for their time to recieve the “letter”. Fear and uncertainty grip every person in our office. Project Director, Operations Manager, Engineers or simply the Office boy, nobody knows up to when they will still have work.

But they are surprise to find me relax and seems unaffected. I do my work normallly and do the usual stuff as if no redundancy problem exist, Rarely they find me complaining about our company’s current situation. They are wondering why?

I just told them that I am a Christian, I have already discuss and surrender this problem with my God, and He assured me and I believe that I will be safe with my employment with the company. Almost six months now since they started terminating staff everyday. I believe am one of the few left working in this company until Dubai economy recovered from the current economic crisis.

It is very relaxing to work without fear and not expecting anything bad to happen even if you physically saw everything what was happening around you. Because of FAITH, I learn to surrender everything to God. And it is working well with me…
Thanks for a very nice and inspiring article Bo…More Blessing to you and your family.

    Cheers,

    Erlinda

  71. That article was so inspiring. If everyone would adhere and practice those steps to complete happiness, we would live in a very wonderful world free from worries. God is our 4 P’s, PROVIDER, PROBLEM SOLVER, PROTECTOR, AND MOST OF ALL, OUR PLANNER. Trust him for he surely delivers.

  72. Hi Bro. Bo,

Thank you so much for this very touching article.

I agree that a strong faith plus action can really make things happen (even you have a very limited resources). And by lifting up or surrendering it to Him no matter what His answer will be for us, it’s always be the best things to happen for us.

God bless you more Bro Bo and your family.

Keep doing great with your job :)

  73. Thanks again, Bro. Bo, for another insightful article.

I know that things are easier said than done, that is why I don’t succeed in some things that I do. But now, I decided that I KNOW that things that are thoight of or said….. CAN BE DONE.

    hahaha! Thanks thanks!

  74. Brother Bo,
God really works in wonderful ways. Your blog today answered questions I’d been having for the past couple of months. When I prayed, I asked the Lord to please tell me what to do and when I read your blog, it struck me that each and every question I had was being answered. 77. Hi bo,
I have read your stories and i want to say that you are blessed and a born motivator.
I want to share my story, i was working for a multinational company and it was a junior postion job,
i was working there for only 2 months and it was not the challenging job, i said to myself that as i have just got this opportunity i will try to motivate myself to make it less boring for me..So guess what!!! i receive a call from a placement company which i did apply for job since 6 months, which has turned me down, and suddenly i receive a call from them which they are harassing me everyday leaving message to ask me to phone them as they have a position for me….i was wondering and said to myself why all these times they have forgotten me and why NOW!!!! i finally reply to their calls and accepted for an interview and it was the job that i was looking for, so interview was a success and i got the job. I was wondering why GOD has offered me a new job opportunity , as i have already have one which i was not looking for anything else. I was seriously giving a good thought about it whether it is a good things to make a move…I was doing the pros and cons and finally i came to conclusion that the new job which has fallen from the sky for me , is the good one….Thus i quit my other job and started the new job, and guess what!!!Always good things never come alone, it comes with a wrap package and inside the package can be good or bad…mine was bad….
Guess What!!! the probation period is 6 months on the job, and i did nearly 5 months and 2 weeks there, and they have laid me off for unfair reason which does not make sense to me…I have worked hard for this job and have given my best shot , and have been fired….
BOTTOM LINE is that Good things never happened as you expected it to be….it always come with lot of torment and turmoil and lot of remorse….
    God bless .

  78. Grabe! Indeed trials are opportunities to know Him more! to know how gracious He is.
    God bless

  79. hi brother bo,

  82. waaaaaaaaaaaahhh!!!

super duper amazingly truly enrichingly inspiring!

kuya bo, reading your blogs is always the best time of the day..and making it happen is the most exciting thing in life!

    thanks much!

  83. Bro. Bo,

You really are amazing with words and logic. Sometime i would rather read you blogs because i really learn and be inspired than what i here from my parish priest. I go to mass daily but sometimes no impact on me. You are the best really.

  84. Hi Bo!

Thanks for the insight here. indeed, for some of us (me included), if overcoming fear is all we ever learn in life, then we have everything to be grateful for.

I was a “promdi” guy with lots of insecurities when I enrolled in UP Diliman in 1985. Everyone looked like a big shot. Now I pass by Kalayaan Residence Hall regularly and smile at how a lot of things I was afraid of then were in fact totally irrelevant.

Such thought helps me deal with my fears today.

    Marvin

P.S. Thanks for sharing what you talk about with your boys on your dinner table. I really appreciate your wholehearted support to the fatherhood advocacy.

  85. hi bo!

thanks a lot for sharing your insights…

    i have a very great fear… actually, i don’t admit it but deep inside i feel it…

after being involved in a road accident twice, i’m not at peace when i ride a vehicle… i always fear that some crazy driver would bump us…

i guess from now on i have to turn my fear to faith… faith in the Lord and full surrender to His Will…

  86. hello Bo

Thank u so much of ur inspiring message and article..

  87. Wow! This is wonderful! I like this article. In fact, I sent this to the people I love and to the people I knew who are still living and believing in fear. I pray that all of us will just have the kind of faith that God can make a way and that His plans for us is to prosper us and not to harm us; plans to give us a hope and a future. May the perfect love of the Lord casts out fear. Amen.

You inspire me a lot today. Currently I don’t have a job yet. I got hired here in Singapore the other week but my work permit was rejected my company is trying to make an appeal and I’m hoping that it will be approved. Bro Bo you made me realize that I don’t need to worry and just relax because God is always with me. All I need is to keep dreaming that I can get the perfect job for me and keep on working on it. And I believe on what you said that “Behind every trial in your life is a treasure waiting to be discovered’.
    Thank You Bro. Bo
    God Bless you always!

  104. Hello, Bro. Bo. I watch you on TV every Sunday. Thank you for the inspiration.

You may want to read my blog. http://www.honneynatividad.com/2009/05/preacher-in-blue-jeans/ Have a blessed day ahead

  105. Dear brother Bo,

“I’m not as good-looking as Bo Sanchez” - that had me laughing up until I finished reading your blog!

Thank you for this inspirational blog.

  106. I am running out of words… :)

It is really hard to surrender everything to God. I have been tested several times but I failed to remain in Him. Trust was washed by FEARS. I failed to see the good things he has given me, I was never contented with my life. I tend to see what is missing and refuse to open my eyes with the countless blessings He has provided me. Everytime I fail to reach my goals, I give up. I always ask God why He is not giving me my dreams, Is he happy seing me crying?

With my last failure, I give up asking God about the things that is happening to me. I surrender everything in Him, and trying to fight the fears of trusting Him. Thanks Sir Bo, for deepening our faith! :) I hope could be 100% with God now. i don’t want to return on my attitude before. :)

Continue to inspire us Sir! :)

  107. Dear bro. Bro.,

Your inspiring experience help me realize that God really loves us. He never abandoned us.I also realized “libre ang mangarap”.Pero dapat pagsumikapan para matupad ang pangarap. And what is important is our dreams should be in accordance to the will of God.
    God bless you.

  108. panalo! hawd! well said!

    GOdspeed!

  109. Dear Bo,

God is good for your being a charismatic preacher that enlightens us about the Word of God. “Do you expect to be blessed” is indeed a very powerful wake up to a sleeping faith of most of the Catholics nowadays.

I am an avid supporter of your kerygma tv as well as preacher in blue jeans. And I am so priviledged to be sent daily of your Bible readings.

This is in relation to my need to have spiritual reading in my cellphone. So, I visited many websites, looking for free downloadable Bible. To my dismay, there are a number of muslim (quran) religious readings available in dotsis & mobile9 websites only, but NOTHING as if NOTHING about Catholic Bible, even New TEstament or Readings from Sts. Luke, Mark, or Matthew.

So, I was in a quandary, where I can ask for these free downloadable catholic bible for mobile phones? That’s why I am here, asking if we have downloadable Catholic Bible.

I have also received a very disturbing email about muslim demographics; that by 2025, the muslims will conquer the whole world, erasing Christendom.

At the back of my mind, I know, a solution is underway. We will just trust and have faith in Jesus, who knows what is good for our children, who would be adults by then.

More power! God bless you Bo.

  110. Dear Bro Bo,

I am based in Doha, Qatar. My former college pal just suggested to check your blog as I can definitely find lotsa inspirational messages here. And it’s true.

  112. bro. bo, thank you very much for another inspiring article. It reminded me once again to trust everything to the Lord. Let His will be done, not mine. I’ve been into the hardest trial of my life right now. I agree with you when you said; “Friend, behind every problem in your life is a rich blessing. Behind every trial in your life is a treasure waiting to be discovered.”

  113. dear bro bo,

I have a girlfriend and we will have our 10years anniversary this year but I’m not gonna be with her, But I’m planning to get married next year. I know this will be exciting for both of us. She is a blessing for me.

  116. Hi Bro. Bo,

Thanks for all of those wonderful things that you’ve shared with us. Godbless you. :)

  117. Hi Bo, I ought to have stumbled upon your site a lot earlier but I guess now is a good time to do so. I believe nothing happens naman by chance and I really appreciate the lessons you impart. After years of not being able to reconcile being spiritual with being prosperious, I intend to make up for it by claiming my blessings in Jesus’ name. Thanks for opening my eyes Kuya Bo. I was thinking that maybe, God is finished with me but I pray He has bigger plans for me than I could ever imagine. God bless you!

  118. thank you for the message brother bo..
you see, a month ago i was about to reach my dream. its not actually my biggest dream but i feel like it was my stepping stone. that is why i did my best during the training. i scored well during exams. but there was this one exam when i surrendered everything to God. I told Him to lead the way…and He did.

I did not pass the training, but I felt that it was not really for me. I realized that God has greater plans for me. It may be on the same field, but I trust God that He will still help me in reaching my dreams.

I wanna ask you and your readers to pray with me to God that I may recognize His plans for me and fulfill my purpose in life. thank you very much.

  119. i’m into inspirational books…..i luv it…..but nothing…as in absolutely nothing makes me laugh and cry at the same time as your blogs/articles…..
i’m in the middle of a common struggle amongst us….so afraid (read: fear) of rejection….you see, im trying to win back my ex boyfriend..and the ride had been so far full of arguments, questions, harsh words from him that I backed out once again….that I did, when I already told him that i’ll do anything to win him back…..so much for anything when fear strikes me or us for that matter…..
i’m so glad I have this guide…I am absolutely consumed by the thought that I may never see him again or talk to him again that fear just envelops me…fear is the father of depression…..and depressed for about six months now….When I feel that depression and heartache is starting to wrap me once again, I open my laptop and read on your blogs…..when all else fails I think of running to the church even in the middle of the night…I know that someday I will all laugh about evrything that has happened….but for now, I have your blog to make me laugh and cry and hope. THANK YOU.

  120. while reading this blog..i remember the book i just finished last week. the title was “who moved my cheese”..it was all about how people act out of fear, represented by 4 characters..though its just a simple story at all..easy to understand yet its thought is often neglected (even i, realized that). hope you too could read it.

funny it seems, i always say “i am ready for what you will give me, use me as you please”.i believe, that i was no fear at all in facing the life.but i just realized. i was been very fearful.seems not, upon my word quoted above. but i am. i was been afraid of how the blessings will change me, like what bro. bo stated, i used to think after blessing will come..storm will rushed into me. in the midst of trial, i l always have the quoted word above. after pursuing the trial.i become then afraid for the next step.so, look back..i was still the fearful one.my life got changes, but my faith seems not.
together with this blog, with the thoughts i learned from the “who moved my cheese”..hopefully the learnings will be put into actions.i got a lot of dreams in life, and i need to throw all those fears. and i will continue believe that faith without fear is truly a happy life. a success that could never be defeated at all.and living with faith without casting out fears, is no change in growth in faith at all.changes is not happening to be fear of, but to be celebrated.

    thanks bro.bo..
